Feel better Dancin! That sucks!
MissChung - It is very common to obtain minor - medium sized injuries from air bags. 75 - 80% of the time when the steering wheel/dash airbags are deployed the person sustains sometype of impact burns to their face and/or arm, along with bruising. Better than what could be though. (I had to sit through a 9 hour class on airbag deployment/extrication/injuries and all things that went with it. fun fun)
Glad your mom is okay, brina!
There's a little Rent article in the Post this morning -
"Did I look at the script?" Pascal says. "No. Should I? Probably!"
That's Rentertainment
Thanks Chloe! That's an interesting article. I'm glad they're excited about the show.
And it's so like Adam to not have looked at the script yet.
EDIT: Cybele has posted a new blog:

Great article. I love what the journalist chose to capture.... Pascal says, around a big mouthful of gum..
I know that the characters are supposed to be in their early 20's, but Adam & Anthony aren't THAT old. These articles make them seem ancient, lol!

tink - good to know about the airbags. I wasn't aware that injuries of that sort were very common. My stepfather had a lot of burns all down his arms and hands from the fiberglass. But we'll take it over a head on collision
That article is great - the line about the script is priceless. Adam doesn't exactly have a pristine track record with remembering lines/lyrics, so he'd better look at it! I'm so excited for this, ahhh!!!
I actually made Adam's famous chicken with peppers last night - the one from Cybele's cookbook that she said Adam made for her the first time he invited her over for dinner. It was good

I just got a reminder email from ticketmaster that "my event is happening soon" for Rent. yay
A good cook is always a great feature in a man.
My second pair of tickets came in the mail yesterday. Now if I can just get all the people to pay me for them we'll be all set.
brina i'm glad your mom is ok.
I can just see the Adam-related bloopers now...
Yikes, brina. I'm so glad everyone was ok.
It feels more real now that these articles are starting to come out. There's like 5 days until they go on. Geez, Adam, look at a script! That whole article seemed more relaxed and natural, as did the picture.
5 days to go and Adam hasn't looked at the script? Oh, boy...
I hope you're ankle feels better Dancin', that really sucks major
So I couldn't sleep last night and I was looking through my pictures, and for the life of me I could not figure out why his character Theo Gibbs looked so familar. Now I know why:
"Heee, bdwaygirl, I love your signature."
Em, I don't even remember when that started. It was definitely back in 2004.
Now I'm not sure if it was '04 or '05.
ETA: I'm pretty sure it was when he was going back into AIDA.
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
Lol at the Theo character comparison. Interesting.
I think you're right, bdwaygirl. That was around the time I joined.
There's a curious air of unreality for me around the upcoming Rent performances, maybe partly because I feel like I've seen Adam do it on stage already, when I actually haven't. From other shows it's clear that cast recordings and videos convey a lot less than one might think of the experience of being in the theater, but the illusion persists.
Anyway, three more sleeps!
Yup, it was back when he returned to AIDA. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep, and you told me that your favorite way to count down to something really exciting is to count how many more times you have to sleep.
I'm still stuck on the notion that for years, I'd think about how I'd love to see this, feeing like I knew with almost total certainty that it'd never happen. And yet I'm seeing it with my own two eyes in less than a week (exactly one month from when Company closed, ironically). They're gonna be mind-blowing, I know it.
Last night when I was shooting pool, Finale B started playing on my mp3 player and I started to get so excited. I was like "wow, I'm actually going to be seeing this in a few more days". I'm excited not only to see A&A but just to see RENT itself again.
So am I; it's been over a year. I hadn't been ready yet, but those two are reeling me back in without protest.

I am SO excited. I'll bet their entrance applause on Monday is going to be insane. I'm looking at my ticket printout right now - it seems like forever ago that I ordered this and printed it out. It's been on my shelf since then, but the time has finally come
Cybele's new blog is really informative. Thanks for letting us know, GuitarGirl. She says Adam is allergic to dairy -- he must be one of those lucky mild-allergy people, though. I remember running into him after the Goyband shoot, and being nervous because he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and since I'm so allergic that I can't even come into skin contact with dairy, my only thought was, "he's eating pizza. Pizza one inch from my head. Oh no."
I've only seen the show once, and that was 99. It was just so special, that I haven't wanted to ruin that experience by possibly having a bad cast. Hopefully, the boys won't let me down, hehe!

I noticed that about Adam's dairy allergy too - I guess it went undiagnosed for a long time, because in her book she described how much he used to love her home made manicotti. Either that or it's very mild, like you said emcee.
I'm surprised she found that honey and other natural sugars didn't affect her kid's moods as much as white sugar, since they are almost equal in terms of the glycemic index.
I will admit that I have started reading her blog. Luckily, we don't have any severe allergies in my house (Buzz has none, and I'm just allergic to coffee), but it is still interesting reading.
However, I think I am developing a reaction to Dairy. I can have a bowl of cereal, or pizza, or stuff like that and be fine. But if I drink a glass of milk, or eat a bowl of ice cream, or any real type of dairy on its own, I feel very off afterwards. Hard to explain. So I have just tried to start avoiding it.

My dad had that, tink. Milk can also really exacerbate allergies, if you have them. I notice that if my allergies are bad to begin with, even milk in my cereal can make it much worse
