I hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me.
That would be interesting, but hopefully not.
Although candles, with this show, would be far too appropriate. :P
God, I hope not. That was way over the top to begin with, and as far as I'm concerned, their return to Rent has been a triumph and cause for celebration, even when it's over.
There was a little blurb in the Daily News this morning -
'Rent' return has Pascal speechless
"Rent" star Adam Pascal had a senior moment on the opening night of his return to Broadway. (For six weeks, he and Anthony Rapp are reprising the roles they played in the hit musical when it opened 11 years ago.)
"I totally forgot the lyrics in one of the songs, 'Another Day,'" he chuckled at the after-party.
"Even back in 1996, I had a hard time remembering the lyrics of that song!"
Pascal joked that he almost appealed for help to the front row, which was filled with longtime fans mouthing along to every word. In the end, he turned upstage from co-star Tamyra Gray and sang the chorus.
Gray, a former "American Idol" finalist, told me: "Truthfully, there was not anything actually that I could do."
She laughed: "I was just flirting more with him than I normally would!"

lucky her...!
It must be tempting to ask the audience for help, especially when you know they know the words.

"whats the lyric? what's the lyric?"
I could SOO see him doing that
"Help. Please..."
I'm waaaay to tired to look back, but did you guys see this? It made me laugh
Was there ever a temptation to switch roles this time around? Pascal laughs: “Quite frankly, Anthony couldn’t sing my part.” Though he’s sure they’d both love the challenge, “I think people would freak out.”

Hey, I'd see it.
Adam has aked the audience for help before, actually. At the concert he and Daphne did at Kean, he forgot the words to Glory, so he turned to the audience and went, "come on, give me the words! sing it with me!!"Everyone just sort of chuckled, so he got a little more desperate, and whined, "come on, i forgot 'em! i need your help!" It's funny, because we all laugh now, but almost everyone in the room started to sing with him, and it was actually really sweet.

At his reading Anthony talked about about the time he sang "Another Day" with Jonathan, and he was like "it was my one chance to sing the 'cool' song"
Only problem is if it was anyone else they would have been crucified for doing that during an actual performance. Good think he's cute, lol!
Yet again, Adam's cuteness saves the day! :P
Adam probably gets away with most things because he's cute.
hard job but somebody has to do it!
Thanks for the link, Undy. It may have turned up here already, but the thread has been moving so fast this last week probably not everyone saw it.
I was actually looking for that article to bookmark, thank you!
His looks have definitely helped him with scenarios like that lol. I wonder if he's ever gotten a speeding ticket and let off because he did a Bambi 'Please don't shoot my mother!' face; that be slightly amusing

Please, officer - I was just rushing home to my wife and kids
*bats eyelashes*
I would have let him go. I wouldn't have wanted to, but I would have relented
I'm sure his eyelashes hold considerable power.
Wow, this thread is moving so quickly!
Yes it has, and it's probably hard to keep up for those who haven't been looking in regularly. Check out a bunch of screencaps I posted from I Should Tell You (like my av) starting on page 180. Following those, various people also posted some fan photos from the stage door.

lol, we need an Adam love thread table of contents!

A few days ago, I had checked this thread at work and from the time I went to bed, until I checked at work, it had moved like 3 or 4 pages. I was surprised and was thinking you guys were quite chatty which is totally fine, of course, as I enjoy reading everyone's comments.
I've been lurking around here for a bit. I used to comment a bunch on Anthony's welcome thread, not so much here on Adam's. (On some threads here, the "regulars" don't take too kindly to newcomers. But you all are pretty welcoming to everyone, which is nice.)
hi bunny. these guys accepted me so i'd say they are quite friendly
I have to agree with Polly and bunny, you have all been nothing but sweet! Sometimes message boards seem to get a little catty, but it's certainly refreshing to see that some people can be welcoming to anyone who chooses to post.
You guys all move this thread so fast I can't even keep up with what I've missed over the weekend! Backtracking for a minute, I think Adam would make a great Billy Flynn in Chicago. That's a perfect part for someone with that ammount of charm and charisma, not to mention how great he would look in costume.
But in the weeks before the return the thread was lucky to get a couple of posts a day, lol. It always goes in spurts.
