It was Raul's turn before the Return, I think.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

As much as I'd love to see Adam as Billy Flynn, I think he'd be wasting his time in a way. But that is because I was not impressed with the show, at all! I think he has the charm, and appeal without a doubt, which was the only thing that got Joey Lawrence through it, but it doesn't have enough meat to the role. It is smile and charm, and then go sit off stage, repeat a time or two, and they you are done. I want to see him really take on a role, similar to like how he did the Emcee role. But seeing him in the tux would be rather enjoyable!

Chicago didn't do it for me, either. I saw it a few years ago with a lifeless, lackluster cast, with the exception of the woman who played Velma. I think on paper, it's a killer show, but what you get when you see it on stage depends very highly on who's in it. I feel like I SHOULD have liked it much better than I did.

Exactly, I thought I would love it, but out of all the shows I've seen this year it was my second least favorite (SA being the least). To sound cliche there was NO razzle dazzle.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

I think it's a great score, but I also feel that he can do better. He could definitely do it - he has the right amount of charm and attitude for that role, but eh...

I selfishly want Adam to do another musical, even though he's said that his family situation makes it really hard. I will settle for the new album and tour re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

He should have never come back to RENT, lol. Now that I have seen him on a broadway stage, I'm hooked, and just want more!!! :) lol.

I kinda feel like a bad fan for saying this, but I hope to God his next show is the Broadway one. I don't think I could sit through another show of "Me and Larry."

Yes, yes..a new musical would be fantastic!

I know, exactly! I just think he's so talented, and I'd love for him to be in something after Rent that reflects the full caliber of his skills.

How can you say goodbye to this face

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

I've always loved him more in musicals. His solo shows are great, and a wonderful way to see another side of a very talented performer, but I think the kind of natural, magnetic presence he has on stage is vital to whatever makes a good musical theater actor -- and it comes across far more powerfully IN a musical than when he's up there as himself. I'm so glad he's back on Broadway.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

Exactly. And not all musicians - however magnetic they may be on stage - can sustain a character and handle a score 8 times a week like he can.

I'm wondering if this new film is successful, if he will try to do more of acting and take on more serious roles.

And yeah, his new tour sounds interesting. Adam + showtunes = re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

It'd be most interesting to see what other songs he would choose...

What I'm curious about is what he's doing with Jeffery Seller again. He keeps mentioning in interviews "Oh Jeffery and I are doing this thing..."

Well what is this THANG???? It's getting me all edgy Redgy.

And O.M.G Tink Wild Party quote!! I worked out to that soundtrack this morning! re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

Yes, he had mentioned in a couple of articles that we was talking to Jeffrey about the new tour, and made the joke about coming back to RENT while recording the album.

brina - It just fit me too perfectly that I couldn't pass it up, lol!

The Broadway State of Mind Tour sounds interesting. I wonder when he'll post some dates.
