That's wonderful, go Rent!
This makes me So happy!
Over 100%. That's the best I've seen for Rent in a LONG time.
I'm so jazzed about going back already. I can't believe a week of their run is already over. cliche but "Time flies".
My best friend will be seeing the show for the first time tomorrow, so she is ALMOST as excited as I am, lol.
Em - do you have any plans to see it again soon.
I'm getting my friends excited, even though they don't know a lot about Adam and Anthony (except for what I've told them). They have seen Rent before, though, so I'm sure they'll love it.
I have a ticket for the end of the week, and may try to get in tomorrow also. I feel like I have zero perspective from last Monday. All I did was watch Adam I'd also like to see it from closer to the center.
That is how I feel too, Chloe! I have pretty good Mezz seats tomorrow, so can't complain.
I'm going to check with the box office in mid-afternoon and hope for one of those returns or house seats that people were snagging last week. If that doesn't work out, I'll try lotto.
Tink, I'm going next week with my mom.
mom must be so excited!!!
Chloe - well I know people were snagging "partial view" seats all week for like $45. You could see mostly everything but like 1 corner of the stage.
She is! She hasn't seen Adam on stage in like seven years, and she's never seen Anthony at all. She's met him, though, and can't wait to see him dance on the tables.
as i have said before, i have an anti-broadway mom. And then last week she came out of no where and told me to get her tickets to see Grease and Jersey Boys.
Well tonight we went to dinner, and she was asking about me going back in tomorrow. She was like "Well this RENT you like so much, do you think maybe I should go with you some time? Would I like it?" I was touched, but I was like ummmm, mom, sorry but no. Definitely NOT her cup of tea, lol! Don't want to scare her off broadway before she even starts.
Aw, that's funny.
My mom actually liked Rent, but it depends on the cast for her. My dad won't go anywhere near it. I think the movie scared him away. I can't imagine why.

My mom and I saw Rent together the first time I saw it. She'd go back if I wanted her to, but I don't know if she'd like it as much as I do. At least not more than once
emcee, I know what you mean about film/stage. As much as I liked the movie, it doesn't compare to seeing these two live.
My mom adores Adam. She thinks he's just the cutest thing. I was telling my dad how unbelievable they were, and I think he actually wants to go back and see them, too. He didn't like the show the first time, but he LOVED the movie, oddly enough.
My mom doesn't know who Adam and Anthony are, but I told her she should see Rent with them in it. She keeps declining, though. My dad...has never heard of them. Probably because I doubt he would be interested anyway.

My mom is still somehow convinced that Raul Esparza is involved in Rent.
Heh, that makes me think of the part in the Chatterbox where he talks about having to back out of a show Michael Greif was directing, so someone told him, "Well, now you'll NEVER BE IN RENT!"

oh yeah, lol. I couldn't believe that he read for a part in the movie when Spike Lee was involved, and Justin Timberlake was going to play Roger. What an awkward on screen combination that would have been...
Raul probably would've made a killer Mark, at any rate. I feel like he's one of those actors who's not quite a Mark and not quite a Roger, either, though.
Raul feels like too much of an adult to be in Rent somehow, though he's the same age as Adam.
I haven't had this much fun in quite a while -
Raul could be Angel!
Adam's facial expressions are funny in those pictures. The second one-his teeth are really white.

Aw, I'm so happy for those guys. The video was cute. Adam looked super super happy.
I'm seeing them on the 29th (wed. mat) for my sweet 16th. I'm crossing my fingers they'll both be there.
