Awww, pretty smile.
don't worry i think i regressed to about age 12
How he has not landed a toothpaste commercial deal I will never know!
Excuse me while I regress to the ripe old age of fifteen.
Agreed, except he looks far better now than he did when I was fifteen. (I'm pretty sure those pics are from Saturday night. I found them on the Rent livejournal)
Great pictures, Luckystar! I want next Thursday to come NOW, because I have an interview I'm very excited about and RENT!
I didn't know who he was at 12, heh. Whoops.
That Roger fella's pretty good-looking, y'all.
I have been in the South for a few days too long.
i didn't know who he was when i was 12 either, but i haven't gonna giggly like that since i was about 12
I'm in the South, too. Instead of being on the beach, I'm sitting in my hotel room with the air conditioning. It's too hot!
I was 12 when RENT first came onto the scene. I have vague memories of some of the hub bub around it.
For YEARS, I was like, "whatever that is, I want to see it." I saw TV spots and stuff and was totally intrigued. But when I was 12, I was timid like the quietest mouse, heh.
I remember when they did the RENT PSA in the beginning of movie previews. Don't know exactly how long ago that was.

I remember when Rent came out. Everyone on my bus was like "you have to see Rent, you have to see Rent." I saw it right after I saw Les Mis, which was my first Broadway show. I went in to Rent expecting something similar, haha.
when i was 12 it was 1989 & RENT wasn't even in workshop yet. Adam would have been 19.

"This week at CHATTERBOX is Anthony Rapp! In the middle of his triumphant (AKA big box office $) to RENT!
Peace out...hope to see youse tomorrow at 6 at Don't Tell Mama! (res. 212 757 078

I've been wondering if they would do this. This is awesome!
A lot of the press has been Adam centered, I think it is good Anthony gets his "time to shine" so to speak.
Aw, it would've been fun to have the two of them go together. I've been hoping Seth would have Adam back for a while now, although he's already been on twice.

I would love to but my pool league would have something to say about it! I hope one of the NYC-ish girls can make it!

lol, your pool league! I want to go, but not by myself. I don't even know if I can tomorrow, actually. I love Anthony tho!
Nice pictures!
It's good that Anthony's getting some publicity. The Chatterbox interviews are really good ones.
I love that first picture in the Playbill article that Tink posted. Based on recent pictures, I think this hair color is one of the more flattering choices Adam has made.
Going back a bit, I remember watching the 48 Hours special on Rent back in '96. My mom had heard so much about the show from watching Rosie O'Donnell that she watched the special, and was especially outraged that Jonathan Larson hadn't gotten proper medical treatment. I immediately wanted to see the show after watching 48 Hours, and I totally couldn't understand why, at 11 years old, I wasn't allowed to go.
I can just remember hearing about "this show called RENT" that sort of taking Broadway by storm. The first I ever saw and heard of it was their Tony Awards performance, and I loved it immediately. If I remember right, the cast recording wasn't even out yet, and I went to my local Virgin Records at midnight to get it immediately when it was released.
I have kicked myself several times over for not going to Rent back then. Since my work depends on my hearing, I was sort of scared away by claims that it was "ear-shattering," something I now realize must have been believed only by those who had never been to a rock concert and were more accustomed to Lerner and Loewe.
