She seemed to really like him (more so than Will Chase, which surprised me). She saw and met Adam with me at one of his concerts last spring, so she wasn't really disappointed that he wasn't in, even though I explained that this was very different.

I suspect that if you're specifically there for Adam, you'll automatically not love the Roger u/s. She had gotten tickets not knowing they were there, so she probably would have enjoyed any cast she saw. I haven't seen him, so I can't really say how he is though.

I haven't read good things about Kyle either, so I was giving my friend the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure any of us would be much more critical, lol.

I'd hope he wouldn't decide to play hookie during a six week run!

Too right though, Craww. If he doesn't have a good excuse he's going to have a tough time living this one down.

No matter what his excuse is, you know people will give him such a hard time about being out for a long time to come. Poor guy.

That's true. I just think it's unfortunate that the focus of a lot of people has shifted from what a fantastic job he's been doing, and onto the fact that he doesn't regularly stage door and now he missed a night.

Poor Adam. I've been sick since New York. Maybe we're both sick because Anthony Rapp spat on us. Hopefully he recovers from these things faster than I do.

Why doesn't the Outbreak monkey die of its crazy monkey Ebola? He's just the carrier.

That's a very attractive bowl of chicken soup, which Adam seems in need of also. Poor guy, I hope it's not too serious. Thanks for the info, Lexi.

Aww, I'm glad to hear that he was back in for the matinee, but hopefully he gets better soon. I thought that he sounded great on Monday (Lexi thought he was a bit off that night, I think, but not having a standard of comparison he was amazing to my ears), and I think it was the best I've ever seen the show. I wish I'd had internet access over the course of the week, because I'm not really sure what to write in terms of a review now... I can try, though.

Okay, time to catch up. First of all, I don't really see too many mature people actually holding an absence against Adam - if he's sick and literally cannot sing, what is he supposed to do? Perform and have a good portion of the audience who isn't familiar with the material miss half of the songs because his vocals are subpar? I suppose it's easy for me to excuse the absence because I wasn't forced to suffer through Kyle Post (again), but I would hope even the tweens who had tickets for last night would realize that Mother Nature is to blame, not him.

And yes, I thought he sounded a bit off on Monday night - it's hard for me to explain, but his voice just sounded more tired and less strong than usual; he didn't go for the high riff note in Glory. In retrospect, he might have just been getting sick. Of course Adam a few steps below the top of his game vocally is still better than most other guys out there.

He probably was getting sick, but I'm glad it wasn't bad enough to interfere with you enjoying the show. Is there anything in particular that sticks in your memory?
