re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Adam is coming to Toledo on October 12th and I looked up to see where the theatre was located... It's on Adams Street, which I thought was funny. I may go, as it's only 50 miles from me.

I agree, Em. At the stagedoor, I didn't get the impression that anyone was actually thinking at all. Any sort of mental coherence had devolved into a frenzy the moment the boys came out (except for, like, stragetic thinking in terms of how to get closer to the barricades). Adam and Anthony are certainly icons, and people tend to view them as larger than life (so thus no longer requiring civility and respect?). The audience was actually very good during the show in that it was enthusiastic but not competing with the actors to make noise. Perhaps that's why the stagedoor was surprising - a screaming mob was a big departure from everyone enjoying the show.

I guess the calmness varies depending on which concert you attend. I was at the one where a large percentage of the crowd sang Seasons of Love to lure Adam out re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Some of the fans at the bb kings show were obnoxious, its just that there werent very many of them, so it didnt get out of control. I didn't mean to imply in my last post that the possibility of Adam's never doing another Bway show was the reason for the fan insanity, I was just genuinely curious. I'd love to see it happen re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Anyway, is anyone doing lotto this week? I was thinking of doing it either today or Wednesday. The train schedule doesn't exactly match up - you need to get there at like 5:15, right?

Emcee, how many times did you see Aida? My aunt got tickets for us to go about a month before it closed but because of a family matter, we couldn't go. It was so disappointing! I'm jealous. :)

If Adam were to ever do another Broadway show, I can't imagine the stage door ever being this bad. I'm going to hope that the Rent stage door is only so bad because it is both Adam and Anthony back for a very short time, and playing roles most of us never thought we would be able to see them in.

Now I want to see the show again, lol. It's all this talk about their reprising these roles that will never happen again, hehe.

Oh, misschung, I didn't think you implied it -- polly's post sort of did.

Ariella, I'd think people would give MORE civility and respect to those they find larger than life if they worship them in that way, which is part of what confuses me about all of this.

I might do the lotto Wednesday. I'm unexpectedly going tonight, though, my family has an extra ticket.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I want to try lotto either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. I have appointments in the city all week, so I'm trying to figure out if I can move into school early, stay in a hotel, or commute from RI everyday. I hate being unorganized!

I don't think Adam wouldn't do another show based on this. I'm sure he understand why it's a crazy as it is. At least I hope he wouldn't question coming back to Broadway because of this experience. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Oh, you're lucky! Have fun tonight.

It looks like it's going to pour up here, is it really overcast in the city?

I haven't been outside, but I know it's supposed to rain all day. Super.

My brother was supposed to go with his girlfriend, but they broke up. None of his friends want to go, so I'm gonna go with him. I'm sure he'll be good company... heh. I do feel bad for him. The breakup was inevitable, but she was rather cold about it.

oo, that's rough, poor guy. Maybe the show will cheer him up

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I hope so. My feeling on it is that it'll be better to get out of the house and do something, rather than sit around and mope. My mother thinks that opinion makes me a heartless bitch. But is it really nicer to let him sit around and cry? He'll be bummed out because this was supposed to be a nice night with her and now he's getting... well, boring old me, but hopefully it'll cheer him up a little.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

misschung- I was thinking of either doing the lotto today or Wednesday as well! I'm thinking there might be less of a crowd today. I need to make up my mind soon though since I need to figure out what train to take.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Yeah, I was thinking of biting the bullet and buying a ticket with a discount code because there are great seats available online. But I really want to try for the first two rows and have that experience at least once for Adam and Anthony's run.

I agree with getting him out of the house. Plus it'd be a waste of money to just let the tickets go.

Aw, Emcee, your poor brother! That really sucks. I'm with you though, sitting around and moping is way worse than actually going out and doing something to get your mind off of things. I hope you two have a fun night together.

Are there still a lot of tickets available for tonight, misschung? I don't want to go all the way to the city and lose the lotto and not be able to get a ticket tonight.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

My mother was willing to just let the tickets go to waste if she couldn't convince him to go, which was ridiculous, because I could have gotten rid of those in about five minutes. But whatever, it's better that he gets out.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

i apologize but i thought i'd read somewhere where he'd said he probably wouldn't do another show, but now that i have thought about it, you're probably right, i think he was just explaining why it would be difficult for him.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I just checked the weather and they are predicting rain for tonight, so maybe the lotto won't be as bad. I have so many other things that I should be doing today, but I know if I don't go and try the lotto tonight, I won't be able to do it any other time. I'm really trying to talk myself out of it, but I have a feeling I'll be going tonight.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

no need to apologize polly - he probably did say that at some point. But we all know at this point that whatever he says needs to be taken with a grain of salt, hehe.

I think I'm going to go Wednesday. I'm still pooped from our Raul trip, and I have work early tomorrow so I really shouldn't stay out late. Yes, I am a grandma - where's my afghan, lol.

Yes, Adam's not-going-back-to-Rent statement didn't work out as planned, did it? :P
