re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

GuitarGirl - It's the "National Association for Campus Activities." I think it's a showcase of sorts for artists who are looking to be booked at college campuses throughout the US. Adam and Larry are performing at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in Lancaster, PA, which I believe serves, obviously, Pennsylvania and the states surrounding it.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

If I understand correctly, it's a convention where bookers for colleges can see and/or learn about various acts. Adam was listed for the one last year too, but evidently wasn't there. This one is in Lancaster, PA, but I think it was somewhere else last year.

Chloe - Great minds think alike. :) According to Debbie, Adam and Larry did perform last year, but maybe it was just Larry? Anyway, they will be performing this year and promoting the "Me and Larry" tour and upcoming CD.

This should and could be really good for them! I hope it goes well.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Thanks for the info, Connie! The reason I don't think Adam was there last year is that someone who posts here looked for him unsuccessfully. She could have missed him I suppose, but she was there to book for her school and seemed to know her way around.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Thanks for the info, guys!

I hope it goes well for them as well. It seems like a good way to get out there.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Chloe - No problem, here to help. :) Hmmm, it definitely could have been that just Larry was there and Adam was missing, but Debbie said that "they" performed last year, so I'm slightly confused. Nevertheless, they're both going to be there this year, so YAY!

Apparently it's also free and open to the public, but the performance schedule hasn't been posted yet so nobody knows when the two of them are going to be up on stage.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Just out of curiosity, is Debbie Larry's wife? I thought his wife was also his manager, but I don't remember that being her name, unless it's one of those nicknames with no real similarity to one's actual name.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

It sounds interesting. I'd love to check it out, but Lancaster is pretty far.

Hopefully more tour dates will spring up soon, as well as info on the Broadway tour. But...if Adam is promoting his and Larry's new album, when is the Broadway State of Mind tour taking place?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

Lexi - Debbie is the webmaster of LarryEdoff.com, Autumn is Larry's wife and manager. :)

I think that Debbie may also have an expanded role other than webmaster, but I'm not sure.

GuitarGirl - Debbie said that "it sounds like they will be doing a lot of touring in '08 to support the new CD but [that she's] holding off on posting anything until [she] get the go ahead." So hopefully new dates will be appearing on LarryEdoff.com soon. :)

I, for one, can't wait. I really hope they come somewhere near the west coast of Canada so that I can see "See Me Shining" live. I was watching a clip of his Brentwood performance last night and it made me swoon; I love that song.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I attended the Northeast conference in 06, not the mid-Atlantic, so they could have been there. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13! They were still represented, though. He was out of town filming something during the one in Boston.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

A lot of Adam's new songs are very beautiful. A lot of it has to do with Larry, and I think that they make a great team, music wise.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

GuitarGirl - Agreed. Although I love both Model Prisoner and Civilian (Model Prisoner a little bit more, I have to confess), neither of them were what you would call "my type of music." Model Prisoner comes close, but I don't think it's as mellow as the new songs Larry and Adam are writing together, and I am definitely a mellow music type of girl.

And I definitely concur with the idea that Larry has a lot to do with this new direction that Adam's heading in because Larry's own CD is also very relaxed and soothing.

They go well together. You get both of their influences in those songs, which is nice.

Rent's gross has gone down to about 93%. I guess it has to do with school...

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

I think civilian and MP had great promise, and I love the rock edge, I just think the production value was bad. Very similar to Metallica's last album. Songs weren't actually the bad part it was just how they were produced and recorded. I hope he doesn't go too mellow on us, because I like rocker Adam, hehe.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

They were over-produced, but the songs themselves were (are) good, in the way of lyrics. Model Prisoner was better produced,. but Civilian shows how he grew as a songwriter. They both have their high and low points. I think that this new album will be a change of pace, but for the better. The music and lyrics might be a step up. I do hope that Adam gives a rocker edge to some songs, at least, as I liked that side of him as well. Just As I Am seems to have that kind of edge.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

MotorTink - Well, I meant Adam-like mellowness, which is not like, say, Elliot Smith or Jeff Buckley-like mellowness. :) So a kind of rocker-like mellowness? I think I'm just confusing myself now...

I don't think we have to worry about Adam losing his rocker edge though because he'll always have that rock 'n' roll voice that drew us to him in the first place. I mean, the lyrics in "See Me Shining" are beautiful and soft, but Adam gives them real passion and fire and excitement with his voice. The same can be said of "Just As I Am" and "A Single Drop of You," just like you said GuitarGirl, although I think these are a little more rockerish than the former.

Even non-rockerish, Adam's voice is awesome. Hopefully this new album will highlight his voice.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

See, this is why I wish I was around when he did his rock shows. It makes me a little sad that he doesn't think it was really him. The songs were pretty godawful, but still. I love the more subdued sound, but I hope there's some more upbeat songs on the new album, too.

Connie, did you take that picture? Was it from the 31st? Very cute.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 13!

SweetDisaster - I would have liked to see the blue hair that he rocked during his rocker days. :) And yes, I did take that picture (thanks for compliment!), but it was on the 18th, you know, the crazy night with the woman running past the barricades? He was about a minute away from my side of the barricade when that happened and the entire thing was shut down. Better luck next time though, eh? *grin*

MotorTink - Yay! :)
