Not that it seems at all relevant in light of what Chloe just posted, but I think the cause for the quiet Adam thread is due to a combination of things, most which have already been mentioned.
of course, misschung.
Chloe, you know I wish you all the best, I am so sorry for all you are going through. talk to you soon, :)
I'm so sorry, Chloe. I hope things take a turn for the better for you. As I said before, you'll be in my thoughts.
I really appreciate all your concern, thoughts, and prayers, but please don't feel like you can't talk about anything else. A little distraction can be enjoyable for me, and after all this is Adam's thread, not mine.
okay, here's some distraction. this photo represents my first introduction to Mr. Pascal. though I think I do remember seeing him on the cover of Newsweek some years before.

Robin, I just can't look at anything but your avatar. The border on that blazer is like a cross between the Aida tribal logo and something Felicia Rashad would wear to court on the Cosby show.
misschung,
I had forgotten about it, it doesn't show up on the browser on this computer. It's quite hilarious, should I change it?
your comment made me actually laugh out loud. thanks :)
Love the picture Adam collage robin! And is your avatar from that one interview Adam did a while back with Anthony, Daphne, and everyone?? It's hilarious!
yeah, it was the Charlie Rose Show. I think it was the day after the Tony's. It was something I had only recently saw. They've all come so far since. very interesting clothing choices on that show...
the collage was funny to me because Adam with the long hair was my first impression of how this actor looked to me. And now, it seems funny to me.
Chloe, I really hope things turn out alright for you. You're in my prayers.
I also agree that the lack of Adam-event is causing the slowness here. At least the new album is finally coming out after being pushed back so much.
Yeah, I can't wait for his new album. Like he says in his blog, it's the album that he has always wanted to put out...so I'm excited.

Speaking of the record, does anyone know what label it will be on? I would think the Sh-K Boom would be advertising it on their site as a coming soon item but they aren't. Is it being release on Larry's label? I would attempt to visit his official site, but the fan girls are a little too much for this old bird.
Adam hasn't posted anything about which label it will be on, but it's not Sh-K-Boom. They have the sense to advertise elsewhere than his website.
Larry has a record label? Or do you mean he has a self-founded "record label"?
Like he says in his blog, it's the album that he has always wanted to put out...so I'm excited.
He's said that about all his albums.

I find it sad that the album he's always wanted to make was written predominately by Larry Edoff. I never would have guessed his ambition towards being The Guy They Play In The Crystal Shop, in between the song stylings of Enya and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
I feel like the red flags went up when I realized that Sh-K-Boom didn't appear to be producing this one.
And not to harp since you've asked that we not, but I wanted to say that Chloe, I am thinking of you as well, and wish you all the best.
Thanks very much Emcee.
As far as I can remember (which at the moment isn't very far), no record label has been mentioned. I just looked at Larry's myspace page and see that even though he's recorded two solo albums, "Type of Label" says "None." He must be putting those out personally. I suppose Adam's new one will be the same. It would be too bad if he's no longer on good terms with Sh-K-Boom.
Well, Kurt Deutsch directed (or did he musical direct?) Alive in the World... so I don't know if, assuming they're not producing it, it'd be because Adam's no longer on good terms with them. But the idea that they might not be doing it does disappoint me.
Very good point, I wasn't thinking of that. I doubt if Kurt would have cast Adam if they were having any problem to speak of. It was probably that either Kurt didn't want to sign on Larry, or that Larry wanted to do their album the way he'd done his own.
or that Larry wanted to do their album the way he'd done his own.
That sounds really creepy and controlling...and is probably completely accurate.

Maybe Al Gore is producing it.
That is a very good possibility, MC. Maybe one of the songs will be used for a possible Campaign song!
Well I wish Gore were running.
If Larry were more like the guys who put together Model Prisoner it would be fine that he's in charge. Even though MP is uneven compared to Civilian I've always liked a lot of it, especially the relaxed feel of several songs. Unfortunately Larry doesn't seem like that.

Me too.
Not really a surprise, but...

I promised myself that if there was an extension, I would buy tickets for the new last show as soon as it was announced.
And now here I am and there's the extension and I am just sitting here. Just like last time, I can't get myself to do it.
ETA: Or not, you can't get them.
I'm definitely not surprised about the extension, although I thought they would probably wait a little bit longer to announce it. I wonder what they plan on doing for the three days of performances that the public isn't invited to. Interesting.
