Repost, Ariella, the board is eating posts again.

And I just updated my Safari program, and now it's putting squiggly red lines under any word, like Ariella, that it doesn't understand. Just like hateful Word. I HATE WORD!

Whew, I just found the way to turn that off.

Sorry for my little breakdown there...

I have internet spell check as well, and it's okay. It's pretty annoying sometimes though, like now when it just underlined the word okay...

On my new version of Safari, in the Edit menu is a Spelling sub-menu where you can check or uncheck "Check Spelling As You Type."

Internet spellcheck seems like a good idea; I'm sure it could do a lot of people good, myself included at times. And Ariella's not a legit name?

I LOVE my auto spell check, esp. when posting on this board. At work my browser doesn't have it, so I'm all lost! ;(

It does make proofreading my posts easier, but since internet communication includes so many things that wouldn't be deemed real words -- including real words! -- it gets kind of bothersome.

Spell check bothers me. I'm crazy about spelling, I don't usually make mistakes (which means there will be at least one in this post), so the words it finds wrong are usually right and they just don't recognize it. There's also problems with American vs. Canadian spelling, I have American programs, which means my words won't always be spelt "right". They do come with a Canadian option, but apparently some words get missed. My best friend, on the other hand, needs spell checker on everything, it's like a whole other language when she types.

Oh I totally agree with the not finding words that are actually words thing. But with how fast i type things out, it saves me a lot of grief from grammar snobs, lol. I've just learned to ignore it if I know a word or an abbreviation is correct.

It's only been nearly two months since Adam left Rent, which is about my speed... Not that this one isn't kind of the same thing anyway, but at least he's not in costume.

Gee, I wonder whose idea that was -- and being that Adam is admittedly not very internet savvy, he'd probably be very easily convinced that the page is no longer necessary.

I don't particularly like MySpace, but it IS a good networking tool. Taking that away is a huge mistake and really just makes it look like Ilana wants to take over. Is this how she's going to make her page the central information place? By eliminating the others?
