re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Oh, for god's sake. Does she seriously think we don't notice? Or that it's ok to mooch off of people she insulted two weeks ago?

Why did Adam need an official site at all? There's nothing there that we didn't already have here, short of the independent domain name. brina and Ariella would be better off directing venue managers to this thread.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Being that Ilana was so insistent about how BroadwayWorld was going to be taken off the list of websites she visits, one would think she'd be a little bit less obvious about the fact that she's still lurking here, using us for information. And further, if you're going to alienate an entire group of people, you have no business then going and using them for information.

For an OFFICIAL website, she should have more official ways of gaining her information. She should have legitimate sources -- she shouldn't be relying on people on a message board who, by their own accords, go and seek out the information. But, being that she seems not to understand the process of gaining official credit for copyrighted photos (STILL!), I suppose I shouldn't put this past her, either. Almost everything on Connie's website is credited; even if something is just a tip she received from another fan, she is very diligent about crediting -- and that's on a FANSITE. But for her OFFICIAL website, Ilana is covertly using the work other people have done, leaving everything so it looks like she's come upon it all by herself.

It's amazing how every day, there's just another reason to be dismayed with the way this is being handled. It's really not fair to Adam. He deserves so much better than this laziness, immaturity and dishonesty.

Exactly.

I doubt anyone would have a problem with a tidbit of information they found being used on Adam's official site (even though an "official site" should have better means of acquiring information than the Adam Pascal Love Thread...) if it were handled in the correct way. Lurking on a thread (comprised of people you've already alienated) which you earlier swore off? All in a hunt for information? Not cool.

Whatever happened to how what you were doing didn't "require us"?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Exactly. And to treat people here with such childish, petty, flat-out mean regard and then go undercover to use us for our work and information? Unprofessional. She has no business using people who she has made a point to alienate. She'd probably say that since it's the internet, it's public domain, which is true, but this is an issue of courtesy, too. I guess all those gushy messages negate us, even though every fan counts!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Can't she just get on the phone with Adam and ask him about his recent and upcoming events? She can also ask him a little more about his children's religious practices, because that's totally and completely not invasive at all.

all the more reason the AP love thread girls should get a private party/show from Adam.....all this hard work we are doing. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

C'mon Emcee, chill!

Now do you really think Adam's people are going to continue to update his website now that the circumstances surrounding it have become so argumentative and ridiculous? re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Hee! Quoting RENT and everything!

Maybe instead of making fake user names on your own website you could just make a "Webmaster" one and create a legitimate question on the discussion board for fans to answer seriously instead of turning into a fight of anonymous posters and half of Adam's Myspace friends. It's kind of embarassing.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I think it's a little dangerous to make too many assumptions about who is reading the thread and who is making these decisions. It's easy to get carried away by personal enmity and lose sight of the main issue, which is what will help Adam. Providing news about what he's been doing outside of his concert gigs IS important, and something we've wanted.

Though I'm going to kind of miss scouring the net for info like this myself.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

True, but it also looks more than suspicious to be talking about something on here and then see it be changed on the website only minutes later. It's not like it's an isolated incident at this point either. Just sayin'.
#3315

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I don't think anyone is making any assumptions. I mentioned that "Aids" should be "AIDS" and literally five minutes later, it's changed?

As I said, it's not even that she's using the information. It's information - no one owns it. It's just entirely discourteous to say that you're swearing off BWW, explicitly say that you don't need us, and then use our thread for information. Yeah, it's wonderful that posting the information is ultimately helping Adam, but I'd prefer that to be done in a way that isn't so utterly insulting to this thread's posters.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

We're such good Rentheads, Jenna. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

And yeah, Lexi posted pretty much what I was going to say. If it's not certain enough to be called obvious, it's certainly more than a little suspicious, no?

Again, it's just this usual theme. Yes, having the information up there is important. Yes, a lot of the things that are happening are important -- and even necessary. But the way in which they're being accomplished is the problem.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I'm not saying that it's a coincidence these changes happened when they did, but that it may not be Ilana who's reading the thread and then making (or asking for) them.
#3318

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I think I missed something as well - when did Ilana say all this stuff about how she's never visiting this site again, etc? I've been so busy that I guess I haven't been reading as closely as I usually do.

The Aids --> AIDS change is a bit shady, conservatively speaking.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Who else would it be? Adam? I have an extremely hard time believing he's monitoring this thread for suggestions, much less that he'd even care about spelling and capitalization. What's that old axiom about how the simplest answer is also probably the most true?
#3320

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I'm really not thoroughly convinced that Adam has taken full authorship of that website. I don't know; just because he may have been playing around with the colors, to me, doesn't mean now we should conclude that it's all him.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

He might not be making all the changes himself but could still be calling the shots. We really don't know what's going on, and all I'm saying is that I think it's dangerous to assume we do.
#3322

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

One would hope that if Adam is the person lurking, he would at least have the decency to give credit where credit is due.

I doubt if the thought would occur to him - wouldn't it be a little awkward anyway?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

The way I look at it is that... Adam shouldn't have to be the one who's "calling the shots," so to speak, on this kind of stuff. I'm sorry, but I think to assume that Adam is the one reading this thread, seeing what we think should happen and then going "oh, hey Ilana, can you fix that AIDS mistake?" is being a little bit neurotic and unrealistic. And at the end of the day, that's not how it SHOULD be working, even if it were. If there were a professional web designer doing this site, of course he'd have input into the content, but there would be no need to even speculate that he's lurking in a fan discussion to pass on to the person who's probably actually making the changes.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

A little awkward? For god's sake, the man blogs about his penis (repeatedly). I didn't mean in that direct citation manner so much as "Hey, thanks to the fans for the great ideas for the site!" offhand comment in a later blog or something, if it is him out there reading our comments. I just don't see why Adam would have an ulterior purpose to not acknowledge the obvious changes and suggestions as someone else's idea, when it's already established that the only other person with keys to his site DOES have reason to use us without admitting it.

I wonder if the site would have been changed at all if we had never posted any criticisms.
