Maybe Adam shouldn't have to be calling the shots, but he seems to have been quite involved, at least for a while there. I just don't think that what you believe is happening is an automatic given. Certainly a good possibility, but not certain.
I'm not saying Adam is not involved. But based on their track records, Adam is known for responding to fans directly on his MySpace, his blogs, etc. Ilana is known for manipulating fans into giving her ideas (i.e. market research on the "documentary")- as well as lurking on this thread. It doesn't make logical sense to assume that suddenly Adam is the one using fans for ideas without acknowledgment.
Like a firework unexploded
Wanting life but never
knowing how
How much involvement can we say with relatively certainty that he's had, though? I thought the only thing we had ANY indication of was the color change and whatnot. And the blogs, obviously. But to the site itself, it wasn't very much. I just hesitate to make the leap that because he may potentially have messed around with it for a while, he's suddenly doing more of the actual website.
I know that it sucks that (it seems) that some of the ideas posted here have been used uncredited in developing the site, but isn't that, on some level, a good thing? I agree that it's unprofessional that there are so many problems with the "official" website that our criticisms are even necessary, but the way I see it, at least someone's doing something about it and wants to see it get better. But overall, at this point maybe the best thing would be to start over completely with something more professional.
What kinds of things that you've suggested have been added to the site? Have they been major things, or just stuff like fixing the capitalization on AIDS?
siren, I don't think anyone is taking issue with the attempts to make the site better, but more with the circumstances surrounding it. If you're going to use this thread as an information source, don't say that you "don't require our help" and that you won't be visiting this page. At least be upfront about what you're doing. Then again, isn't how this entire mess started? The typical lack of candor?
I doubt if the thought would occur to him - wouldn't it be a little awkward anyway?
NEWS! (as suggested by the Adam Pascal Official Love Thread on Broadwayworld.com)
It might look awkward, but frankly, it's ridiculous that an official webmaster has to scour a "love thread" for updated information anyway. If you're going to start using unknowing fans for your source of information, yes, I believe that the fans deserve to be credited, so to speak. Otherwise, use more professional avenues to find updated information.
And everyone realizes that if Adam were making the changes, he wouldn't need to lurk on this thread for suggestions, right? It's so obviously not him. I just can't see him refreshing the page for suggestions and immediately going to fix a spelling error the moment someone mentioned it.
I agree, Lexi; it's not bad that the information is appearing. It's just, as I've been saying all along, the way in which developments are occurring. It's just different incarnations of the same behavior that turned us off in the first place.
Right. I don't want anyone thinking that this is about "ownership" of information, because at least for me, that's not the issue at all. Honestly, I probably wouldn't even care about this if this woman did not have a track record of the exact same type of behavior in different areas, down to her "documentary" questions about marketing. Oh, and I know we all got a kick out of her posing as "just another fan" asking Adam about his children's religious practices on that message board. Shady. To go from explicitly stating that you "don't need us" to lurking on this thread in hopes of finding information? Lame.
No, it's not about that to me, either. It's about the way someone who wants to be viewed as an official, professional person behaving in a really pathetic manner.
Why does Adam sing "get behind"? That seems to be an order, but anatomically, that doesn't make sense (unless Raul E. Esparza is taking him from behind). What do we all think about this one?
It's totally about having sex until dawn after a rough day, right? Hot.
Everyone should get out the Cape Cod pictures, cuz that's where he wrote it.
Why do people squeal over some photos but don't like my discussion topics? I think Adam wanting to ~pleasure his woman~ is hot, okay? Take your time, I'll blow your mind.
I've always assumed that the "get behind" had to do with foreplay (not the bizarro scenarios that I know are running through your minds, you two.) What I like most about Cellophane Sun is how he's ordering someone to take control.
One thing I've always wanted to know about No Trace is how personal it is. All his songs feel personal, but then he'll explain that 10,000 Miles was written about an imagined situation.
You spend your days and nights alone, well I know, it's alright You find it hard to take control of your own pointed life So get between, get behind, take your time, I don't mind Take my hand and hide your eyes Morning is a dream, a break in the night Life is but a scene, a moment in time The serpent all the while is lying in waiting And a cellophane sun hangs low in the sky Underneath and overload, I know your heart is breaking When the day is done your head still spins Well, I'll be there for the taking So get between, get behind, take your time I'll blow your mind Take my hand, I'll hide my eyes
It's my fave. Why can't he write songs like this anymore? Adam Pascal, do you not get laid? Sad, cuz you're such a DILF.

Me too. Adam Pascal is a sub. Or as Craww would say, he likes to sub-MIT.
