I'm not saying Adam is not involved. But based on their track records, Adam is known for responding to fans directly on his MySpace, his blogs, etc. Ilana is known for manipulating fans into giving her ideas (i.e. market research on the "documentary")- as well as lurking on this thread. It doesn't make logical sense to assume that suddenly Adam is the one using fans for ideas without acknowledgment.

I know that it sucks that (it seems) that some of the ideas posted here have been used uncredited in developing the site, but isn't that, on some level, a good thing? I agree that it's unprofessional that there are so many problems with the "official" website that our criticisms are even necessary, but the way I see it, at least someone's doing something about it and wants to see it get better. But overall, at this point maybe the best thing would be to start over completely with something more professional.

siren, I don't think anyone is taking issue with the attempts to make the site better, but more with the circumstances surrounding it. If you're going to use this thread as an information source, don't say that you "don't require our help" and that you won't be visiting this page. At least be upfront about what you're doing. Then again, isn't how this entire mess started? The typical lack of candor?

I doubt if the thought would occur to him - wouldn't it be a little awkward anyway?

It might look awkward, but frankly, it's ridiculous that an official webmaster has to scour a "love thread" for updated information anyway. If you're going to start using unknowing fans for your source of information, yes, I believe that the fans deserve to be credited, so to speak. Otherwise, use more professional avenues to find updated information.

And everyone realizes that if Adam were making the changes, he wouldn't need to lurk on this thread for suggestions, right? It's so obviously not him. I just can't see him refreshing the page for suggestions and immediately going to fix a spelling error the moment someone mentioned it.

Right. I don't want anyone thinking that this is about "ownership" of information, because at least for me, that's not the issue at all. Honestly, I probably wouldn't even care about this if this woman did not have a track record of the exact same type of behavior in different areas, down to her "documentary" questions about marketing. Oh, and I know we all got a kick out of her posing as "just another fan" asking Adam about his children's religious practices on that message board. Shady. To go from explicitly stating that you "don't need us" to lurking on this thread in hopes of finding information? Lame.

I don't remember. One of the first night's of The Return. I saved mostly all of the press photos that had come out that week.

I've always assumed that the "get behind" had to do with foreplay (not the bizarro scenarios that I know are running through your minds, you two.) What I like most about Cellophane Sun is how he's ordering someone to take control.

One thing I've always wanted to know about No Trace is how personal it is. All his songs feel personal, but then he'll explain that 10,000 Miles was written about an imagined situation.

I'm such a bad fan...other than a few songs I've never really paid attention to too many of the lyrics.
