I was gonna come in here and say that giving up Adam Pascal was my New Years resolution. I decided against it, because that's...neither true, nor that funny.

I turned my sound on to listen to a YouTube video, and I confusingly heard him singing I Got Life. Apparently I'd left my iTunes playing through all my Grant Lee Phillips, through Green Day, through Grey Gardens, through 5 Guster albums, all the way up to the Actors Fund recording of Hair. Of course I would enable the sound just when Adam Pascal starts singing. Of course.

It's gonna be a Happy New Year!

I managed to make it all night without fuckin' 'Happy New Year' stuck in my head, and then I get an email with lyrics as the title and it's gonna be nesting in my cranium all day tomorrow.

What great pictures! Happy 08.

I was in NYC last night, and when walking back to the PATH I had the scene from the movie where they are all celebrating in the streets and watching the ball drop from the store window in my head.

ETA: So funny that MC just posted that picture!

Don't worry - yesterday anytime I heard anyone say "Happy New Year" I automatically thought of I'm giving up my vices...

I love that first picture - Jesse is adorable.

Ok, just watched it. It just shows how the dragon is created via animation. Then at the end it talks about the dragon's song, and shows Adam in the recording studio. He is laughing and smiling (bleach blonde hair and black nail polish on nails, so I'm guessing it was during or right after the return). Otherwise wearing a two tone blue long sleeve shirt (but my memory is usually off so the shirt was probably red and short sleeved lol) and jeans. They show him in a long shot singing and clips from the show. It sound ok at first but then kinda took a turn for the worse, lol. He hits one of his famous screaming high notes at one point and i cringed a bit. Hopefully it sounds better in context with the show and the actual recording. I will admit to bursting into hysterical laughter after the clip ended. Chris just shook his head as usual when it comes to Adam, lol.

the directions they gave on apm.com were correct:

"I have I-O so i just pressed the center button on the remote and went to on demand and then selected nick jr on demand and ordered it for free. You can also go to channel 500 and select "on demand" then nick on demand. The clip is called "The Backyardigans BTS" i think and its short but you see adam recording the song and clips of the episode."

If you get IO, there should be no reason you don't get nick on demand. Not that I would have known any of this before today. I have had it for about 3 years and still barely know how to work the remote, lol.

When you say you cringed, does that mean he sounded bad? Or was the song just not good? The song seems pretty silly to begin with, but I guess that's what you get for a show aimed at 4 year olds.

Yeah, I have IO and they list HBO and Showtime On Demand, among others, but no Nick or Nick Jr. The list is fairly short, and there's nothing available under several of the categories, like Free On Demand and Kids/Family. Cablevision has a lot of subdivisions, so maybe that's why I don't have it.

I was thinking along the same lines, Jenna, that maybe the dragon is supposed to sound "screamy" at times.

Didn't he take a few days off from Rent to go back to LA? I don't think we ever figured out what that was for. Maybe he was doing this?
