re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

The current discount (that started October 7th, luckily) is very good. The seats I got for the 7th were the least expensive ones I've ever gotten for Rent.

i usually just go for lottery and go with whatever discounts they have after.

I paid full price for one of the four times I saw the show. I bought the tickets impulsively the day the Return was officially announced. It's all good.

Hee, well once on impulse or by mistake isn't a big deal. But falling into the habit of doing so is kind of foolish, once you know better. I mean, why pay $100 when you can pay $50 for the same seats? re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Out of the 20 some odd shows I've seen this year, I have only spent full price on 3 - Drowsy Chaperone (bob martin's last day), RENT, and Curtains.

Oops, I lied - Make it 4 - I paid full price for Gypsy this summer, but for second row center seats to that show, it was way more than worth it.

Oh, yeah, well, it's not like $25 for crappy seats versus whatever for good ones. I mean for the same seats. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I can't remember the last time I paid full price. I think it was Sweeney's last show.

I remember wandering up to the Barrymore box office the morning after they announced the closing, looking all forlorn and toting a not-technically-valid discount. Puppy dog eyes come in handy. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Thank god I didn't pay full price for Rent tickets. I remember going once on the day of the show and the guy at the box office telling me that there were no discounts. I argued with him for like fifteen minutes before he finally gave up. Luckily, a set of tickets were birthday presents and I won lotto once, so the damage, while still bad, could have been worse.

edited for silly picture-

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I don't think I have ever paid full price for Rent, which makes up for all the other shows I've seen for full price. My ticket for opening night ended up costing me less than a lotto seat thanks to a Ticketmaster gift card and discount codes. My major cost from The Return was actually transportation, which cost me more than my tickets on some nights. If I could've been on time for the train and bought tickets before I got on, I could've cut that cost in half. This is why I have no furniture!

The guy at the box office tried to sell me an orch ticket one afternoon for full price, and also told me that any discount codes that are available only apply to the mezz. I already had a ticket so I wasn't going to argue, but I was wondering if he was just misinformed or trying to screw me over.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

i'd say both... i never had worse than 7th row with the discount codes through Ticketmaster. And I never ended up in the Mezz with any discount ticket I bought at the theater.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

I've paid full price for one of the three times I've seen Rent... the first time I saw it with A&A. I think I was too excited to be going to be logical about it.

And this is very random, but I had to share.... I passed my roadtest today!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part 14 v. 2

Me neither. But after I saw this one, I posted something to the effect of hoping all of the episodes weren't so badly written, and people who watched it regularly said that this was very unusual. But even still, comparative relativity aside, most of the writing is just laughable.

EW, LBB is butchering my song.
