Not sure if I told you guys this. I went to pick up my tickets to the 2/9 concert, and while I was there I was asking the girl about the parking in the area. The lot they have is on the side of the building, with only about 10 parking spots. She was explaining where the different areas were, then mentioned that she didn't think their lot would be used that night due to Adam's trailer. I must've given her an odd look, since that just struck me as being too funny, because she just kinda shrugged as if to say I don't know why he has a trailer. It's not like there's a major amount of instruments to haul around, which is why I found it so funny I guess.

That's interesting - I haven't heard anything about a trailer before, just a van. I'd almost think this was going to be the Broadway show with a band that's been discussed, except I think it would be advertised as such.
I haven't heard anything about a Broadway show with a full band in respect to any of the concerts, but you never know. When I call to confirm tickets I'll try to find out.
Ooh, Ariella, I didn't know you were going, too! We should all make sure to meet up.
Crazy idea....feel free to ignore me...but he's got shows scheduled in close date proximity in different states, maybe he's renting out an RV type of deal to make traveling easy. I've seen people do it before, hotels & airfare tend to rack up costs, and it may be an easy way to help the family travel with him.
But like I said, I could be way off. It seems silly for NJ shows since I'm sure has family/friends in the NYC area but still an idea.
I was wondering the other day if he was still planning on doing the broadway/cover show with the full band. I thought the same thing when I heard trailer too, Chloe, but you're probably right about it being advertised as a different show.
I'm dying my hair right now and waiting for it to set. This is the third time in two months I've colored my hair, and I feel a little like Adam.
Are you going darker or lighter?
Lighter- not too much though. The roots are starting to look pink. I'm getting nervous!
I hope it turns out all right. Pink is probably not what you're going for. Not even Adam has tried that one.
Emcee, I think Ariella was talking about one of the midwestern shows.
Ooh. I thought maybe she was going to be in town when he's performing in NJ. I'm so out of it.
Not really, I can see why you interpreted it that way.
I wanna dye my hair red. The temporary, wash-out stuff. It's something I do when I've reached the epitome of boredom.
I wanted to highlight mine for the longest time, but my mom would never let me. Now that she will, I'm not so hell-bent on it anymore because I'm afraid I won't like it. But sometimes I kind of want to.
The only really bad part of getting highlights is keeping up on it. I haven't gone in months to get them re done, and it shows! At least with dying it one color, most of the time you can do it at home, highlights are bit more difficult.
Anndd, my hair came out almost the exact same color with the exception of my now red roots. I'm now reminded why I said I'd never do my hair myself again.
I've always been the blonde that dyes her hair blonde...but once in high school I got daring and wanted red hair (like Nicole Kidman Moulin Rouge red), so I bought the dye and my friend put it on. I chickened out about 5 minutes in and quickly washed it out. Needless to say, I had orange hair for a few days before I could dye it back to my normal blonde shade.
Have any of you seen the AIDA tour that's out right now? Once it closed on Broadway, I had said I really had no desire to see it anywhere ever again. My friend went and got tickets last spring/summer for a group of us, even though I really didn't want to go. I've pretty much stayed away from any info about it until today, when I started looking up threads on the tour. Just curious if any of you had seen it and what you thought.

After it closed on Broadway, I always said I'd see the next tour just to have one more chance. But then I decided I should leave well enough alone, and let myself remember it the way it was. I debated for a while until I saw the production pictures from the current tour -- it's weirdly modernized, and just... didn't look right to me. I don't want to see what seems like a gross bastardization of the show I fell so in love with. =/
I never got to see it on Broadway, so at first I shyed away from the tour because I heard iffy reviews. I have a glorious image in my mind of the play right now, and I'd really not like it ruined by a bad tour. But the more I read, the more it didn't seem that awful, and it has developed into one of my favorites (via cast recording/pictures), so I'm taking a chance. I'm just not going to build my hopes up and try to enjoy it for what it is. However, if I was as lucky as you to have seen it on Broadway, I'd probably agree and not want to ruin my lasting memories. I'll let you know my review next weekend.
I hear ya, Em.
Tink, I saw AIDA way too many times on Broadway. I'm not sure I can enjoy it for what it is. I'll do my darndest. I have a feeling I'll be sitting there with my mouth hanging open (in dismay) the whole time. You're going to one of the New Brunswick shows?

I was waiting for it to come to the Washington, DC area....it was scheduled to be here Feb 13-18th....and in the last week or so, was totally cancelled?? I am not sure what the problem was...the aida tour or the lousy advertising (and selling) of the show in the area.....a total bummer though...
bdwaygirl - Yes the Saturday evening one. I got pretty decent balcony seats I think. I really hope the Radames is as good looking as I've heard, hehe, but of course no one can top Adam.
Em-Wow! Those pictures! I never saw AIDA on Broadway, but from pictures I've seen of the original thing, these look really really weird.

Dan Rosenbaum's in the tour! He was my Roger when I saw Rent a couple of years ago in Fredericton, New Brunswick!
