How was Hair while sober?

Well, our search basically consisted of going through our shadier contacts on our cellphones.
ETA: Chloe, we didn't end up watching it. I've never seen the movie, so my friend and I have got to get around to watching it someday.

I'm relieved you weren't trolling the neighborhood alleys, at least. Hair the movie isn't awful, as I recall, but I saw it a long time ago.
NYU is out of pot? (Was Haley Joel Osment not there or something?) Alert the media; this is more dramatic than the energy crisis!
I thought the same thing about the last picture, but in honor of "more love in the love thread", I didn't mention it.

I've heard so many urban myth type stories about that kid! The weirdest was that he was about to get busted for pot and drinking, so he shoved his girlfriend in the closet and told the RA that he was having sex and couldn't open the door. I'm not really sure why the closet part is part of the story, though?
(And yes, skittles, I know I've told you this before, but just play along. )

I had no idea there were stories about him. He seemed like such a straight arrow as a kid. Is he (or was he) an NYU student?

Yeah, he's a freshman in experimental theatre in Tisch.
my friend and I were looking for some pot so we could watch Hair while high (shut up, this is my idea of a fun Friday night)
Thank you for making me laugh after having a horrible last night home! That sounds like a pretty perfect night right now if you ask me.
..Whoops! Sorry, didn't mean to kill the conversation with my comment!

I really like Adam's hair in those pics. I like it when it is a little longerish.
Saw the Aida tour tonight. I'll be writing an official review in my blog, so I'll post when it's ready.
I saw the matinee today and I'm still shaking my head. Looking forward to reading what you thought, Tink.

Jenna, you didn't kill the conversation! I just don't have anything more to add to the topic.
I want a setlist. Thank you, southerners.
ETA: Bdwaygirl, why exactly was it so awful? I mean, I can guess based on the pictures, but...

Adam, dye your roots! Or... something! I kinda like the new shirt, though. A little girly, but the colors are pretty. Those pictures are kinda hilarious.
You have to keep in mind I saw the Broadway version. Alot. Double digits. I really shouldn't have gone today.
Dialogue was changed in a bunch of different places. I never thought I'd see a Zoser WORSE than Mickey Dolenz. Aida doesn't go off to the sewing room. Amneris asks her to help pick out her outfit. The basket ladies are now tin bucket ladies. During Another Pyramid, there was something similar to lap dances going on. Radames at one point was down scrubbing the floor with a scrub brush. You know those buckets that janitors use in schools? The kind where the mop wringer is a part of it? There's about 4 or 5 that are used. Um, Radames doesn't find out Zoser is his father until right before Like Father Like Son. Little things like that.

That sounds like an improvement, really.
But no, really, sounds like it was pretty bad. The Like Father Like Son plot twist makes no sense. I'm sorry that you had to sit through it.
The Eye of Horus wasn't anywhere. This was on the curtain, a ships sail, Radames amulet that he places around Aida's neck and on a back drop during the wedding.

Ugh, that's stupid, why? The Eye of Horus is so simple, yet (IMO, anyway) really kind of beautiful. It should be there.

Changed dialogue? Can you even do that (Well, obviously you can I suppose)?
Well that certainly sounds...interesting?
Em, I agree about the Eye of Horus, very much so...
Ok, official review is up on my blog (https://motortink.broadwayworld.com/). I am horrible at putting my thoughts into a document, so I apologize in advance for it's randomness!
bdwaygirl - wow, a lot of what you spoke about I mentioned as being strange.
Final thoughts: what I would give now to have seen Adam in the role live!
I wonder why it's all changed up. Weird. I guess I'll just avoid the tour so I can keep the memories of the broadway show in tact.
Note about yesterday's Chess conversation....
I was reading the Playbill from the Aida tour (I always read the thing cover to cover). In the Who's Who of the cast it gives you know their blurb. I don't know how updated Elton's and the rest of the creators blurbs are, but this is what is said under Tim Rice's:
"He is currently working on operatic musical he has written with Alan Menken, and on new treatments, for both stage and screen, of Chess, the New York Times bloke having been replaced."
Now I don't exactly understand what the last part meant, but my eyes lit up when I read that about Chess. But like I said, this may either be old news or something, but I copied it word for word from the playbill.

The Broadway Aida playbill mentioned that "Chess flopped, but you should expect to see it again in the future because it was a good show" or something along those lines. Revising the show is probably a long and tedious process, and it doesn't just end there - it'll probably be hard to find investors considering the show's history.
Interesting that he's apparently working on a movie adaptation as well, though.

I watched Hair about a year ago, I think I fell asleep during it, but I don't think it was bad. Heh, I'll have to rent it again..maybe when I get some pot. =P
Hm, I wonder how updated that Who's Who is. A Chess movie would be cool.
edit: I'm shocked I am saying this, but Adam needs a dye job. I'm surprised he didn't take that task upon himself. Bring the dark hair back.
I'll ditto that!
I love the painted-on abs in that pic.
