Hehe, SO DORKY.
I'd love to see a production of Chess if one were ever staged around here, although the version that's most often licensed has the weird Gregor Vassey thing and other strange plot points. Still, the music will always be great.

It's like they specifically designed that sweater to be as unflattering on Raul as possible. I guess they were trying to diffuse the sex bomb magic of the sunglasses.
The theatre where I'm seeing Chess nearly felt too small for The Last Five Years. I think it's going to be a mess, and I'm excited to see how much of one.
Yeah, he could've done a little better in the outfit department. But hey, at least he matches, which cannot be said for him as often as I'd hope it could be.
The really bad part about that outfit is that everyone else looks impeccable, so it seems even worse by comparison.
I think part of the fun with Chess is seeing how much they manage to screw up a given production, since they all have their issues anyway.
Wait, so.... we're complaining about Raul's fashion sense, now? Turnabout! That's a pretty blasphemous thing, considering the subject of this thread. Besides, matching is overrated.

Well, it's not our fault if he's started wearing eight VISIBLE layers that do not match in any way whatsoever.
I'm kidding, I really think he has great fashion sense, when he feels like looking put together. As he should. If not poorly matching, Adam just wears thing that would um, make more sense on Raul.
As for the Chess outfit, yay belly?
I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's the lighting.
Add my vote to Chess. I've always wanted Adam and Raul in a show together, and this seems like a good time to start. I mean, something has to be done before Adam is swallowed up by these indie films.
When I asked Raúl to sign my Chess benefit poster, he was like "you should get ADAM AND SETH to sign it, too!!"
Obviously, that means he wants to be in a show with Adam.
A little late to the convo, but.... I would help fund that revival. I think that performance has become my favorite out of everything. I also think Adam sounded the best he has ever had (Pity the Child, **swoon**).
I go see the Aida tour tonight.
Let us know how Aida is, Tink. I'm really interested to hear about it especially after I saw those pictures.
ooh I expect I full report on Aida!
Hope you enjoy yourself MotorTink! If anyone ever revives the show Chess; I'll make sure to find the producer and give him a peck on the cheek
I just read the interview with Blair Brown on Broadway.com, and one topic is how difficult it is to make a living working in theater, something we've talked about here a little. There's a lot of other stuff as well, such as how she prefers being in musicals to watching them.
Blair Brown interview
Still no reviews from the show???
Something was just posted on IMDb...
For those of you without an IMDb account:
I wouldn't know if there was anything new, because I didn't attend any of the concerts in the fall tour. But as of interesting quotes:
He talked about how much he loved his wife then said: "I bet you all are like *extremely queer voice* uck bitch" it was great.
Then there was another person who got up and went to the bathroom and he was all freaking out.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Person:" Can I just go to the rest room?"
"Well I guess" [person leaves] Then he goes on this entertaining rant on how he does that whenever anyone gets up, then he tries to think of something funny to do when that person comes back in. Like stop the song and have everyone stare at the door to make it look like everyone was waiting for the person. It was wonderful.
Then he was having difficulty getting out of his jacket:
"I've seen you girls take your bra off without taking off the t-shirt."
After he talked about how he met Larry. And the first thing he said to him was:
"You took my parking spot you effin Hippie” of course it wasn't "effin" then they met up later...in the steam room? And Larry said "Hi I make music, what do you do?" Then Adam answered, "Hi, I troll steam rooms” Or something like that.
Then he talked about how he and his wife sit around the table talking about the "Effin weirdoes" that live down the street. He gave a beautiful speech about how mankind should get out of their little bubbles and observe what was around them. Adam just seemed really sad about the little boy that was kidnapped like four years ago...I thought I knew what he was talking about but then he said the little boy died, so I'm not exactly sure.
But the best thing must have been when he was signing my purse, he asked:
"How do you spell Dee?" I understand if he was confused with the fact of my name being "D" or "Dee" but I still found it hilarious .

I am so happy that he got new jokes and stories.
THANK YOU, ADAM.
Yeah, it's nice to know he changed things up. She also posted some pictures, including a couple that fall into that "just how sober was he that night?" category.
That's the first thing I thought when I read it too, Lexi.
He does look kind of high in the last one...

Why do we have to go back to that blonde? It's a bit much for my taste?
I should edit to add, at least he's pretty decently dressed!
*deposits $10 in the Chess needs a revival now fund*

But Seth did sign it! And we *tried* to get Adam to sign it, but he wasn't cooperating.
Adam got a new shirt. I wouldn't be talking "f*cking hippies" if I were him But amen for new jokes nonetheless. I wonder when he comes up with them.
He looks just as high as some of the kids at the sucky battle of bands I was at last night. The eyes look a bit dilated...
Well I think he looks great, especially his "I'm so caucasion gangsta'" expression in the second picture down

Well, it wouldn't be the Adam Pascal Love Thread if we didn't criticize every hair and fashion choice he makes.
Lexi, did you send Adam brownies?

No. I don't even have an oven!
But, just FYI, my friend and I were looking for some pot so we could watch Hair while high (shut up, this is my idea of a fun Friday night) and we couldn't score any. THIS IS NYU. That is not right, Mandi. Granted, it was at 12:30 AM.
