I love the hair, but I love the facial hair even more. You have an arm fascination, I like boys with facial hair, lol!

I never knew much about Cabaret until I happened to just d/l the revival CR (i was getting sick of just RENT) and I fell in love. The story, songs, etc. really interested me. I really wish I got to see it live.

Wow, thanks Lexi! I loved hearing all the little details. And you just posted pictures - his eyelashes look quite wow in one of them. And that last one is hilarious. Most of my pictures didn't turn out from a couple weeks ago, either. I hate using the flash while he's performing, but even so someone's flash was always in his eyes.

I agree with you that he's *mostly* putting on an act. I think he has fun with presenting an image of sexual ambiguity to throw people for a loop, and to be honest some of his fans take themselves so seriously it's probably a good thing. Though if he continues to send off a gay vibe he'll probably start convincing people.

The Mendes production was genius. The way Company is directed actually reminds me quite a bit of the Cabaret revival, which I think is part of the reason I've fallen so in love with it. The shows aren't similar at all, but the direction in both had so many of those moments where you just went "my GOD that's brilliant" in fairly similar ways, what with the minimalism and all. I miss Cabaret a lot, so Company's been a very welcome addition to my favorites list, for so many reasons. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

He looks good in red!

Maybe he thinks that if he convinces people he's gay, girls will stop wanting to have his babies.

That woman with the red bag follows him everywhere? Crazy.

I don't know if he's expiramented (nor do I care to know :) ) or not but he's probably makes all the jokes for the all the gay guys he thinks are in the audience. (Although his shirt was a bit sparkly *g*) I have no idea whether there actually are or not. I thought what he said in the beginning was funny though. ("Welcome to all the lovely young ladies and gay men in the audience. Every concert some guys are like, 'what? I'm not gay!' Well tonight I say you are.") Heh.

I really liked the way he reworked "What I Did for Love". Not so much Maria. It was a tad too jazzy for me.

haha, Em, that's funny. I do hope I get to see Company soon.

Here are the two pics I took that came out decent...I tried non flash on a few during his performance, but they came out too blurry...

Thanks for the recaps and pictures, everyone. I'm really sorry he got cut off while saying what shows he might be interested in, because we already knew about Chicago. Regarding that, you know it seems like everyone cast as Billy Flynn lately has been a "name" outside of Broadway, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had been turned down for the role. Maybe that's part of what played into his decision to move to LA, aside from not liking the newer musicals lately. It is a lot easier to get cast on Broadway if you're well known to the public at large through movies or TV.

I hope so too, Tink! It is (clearly) the theatrical love of my life.

I liked his shirt. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven And that lady frightens me. A lot.

I think they'd cast him in Chicago. I mean, he's no Usher or Bebe Neuwirth, but he could probably do just as well as some of the other names they've cast. Then again, these are the Weisslers we're talking about. :/

I find it hard to believe that he couldn't play Billy Flynn in Chicago if truly wanted to. The person who's playing Billy now is Philip Castnoff - Freddie from the Broadway Chess production, strangely enough, but Adam has much more of a name than him. Maybe Adam wanted more money than the producers were willing to give? Who knows.

I've always been able to picture him in Chicago. As he pulled off Cabaret so well, I'm sure he'd do just fine as Billy Flynn.

And as for money - I'm sure Goyband isn't exactly a jackpot financially, and he did turn down another indie film to do Cabaret... Hopefully Chicago would be about the same. I suppose there's no way of knowing.

It looks like everyone else just about covered everything, but I'll tell the story about the parents with their kids.

There was a couple with two VERY young children (probably around 3 and 5). After Adam's first f*ck, the little boy gasped and looked to his Dad. He made the kids cover their ears. So basically, every time Adam stopped singing and started to talk, the two kids' fingers went right into their ears. At one point the mother got up and left for 5 minutes, came back and snapped at the dad "I talked to them". So I was thinking that maybe she complained? It was so funny though, and I really had to try not to laugh out loud. Maybe it was one of those you had to be there stories..

I didn't know Huey Lewis had left - I was thinking of he and Usher doing it lately. Though it's not my favorite kind of show, I'd love to see him in Chicago. But what else might he have been thinking of?

Jenna, I still absolutely love that story.

I forgot to mention that he burped in the middle of Maria. Afterward, he said something like, "It had to come out!" (during the same song every time, Adam?) and made some sort of fart noise... yeah.

Also, when he was talking about growing up as a "heavy metal kid," some people cheered, to which he responded "that's such bullsh*t." Someone yelled out "Queensryche!" and he said something like, "We're the only two people who like them."

Oh, and when he was introducing See Me Shining, he said something like, "you're all 'awww-ing' now, but you're really saying 'awww, you bitch.'" Updated On: 2/10/07 at 12:50 PM

I'm glad those parents brought their children along just for our entertainment. Did the mom expect some guy in black with a headset to go up onstage and whisper something to Adam along the lines of, "no more f*cks, please. We've got kids on the premises"?

That's a great story.

I suppose it's fortunate for them that he doesn't curse in his actual songs.

Yeah..he really did burp/clear his throat during a few songs. The farting thing was a little odd, too.

I also had two middle aged women behind me who talked the entire show speculating about his wife and children. They said he was adorable, probably gay, but still managed to notice that there was a hole in his back pocket (which they seemed quite excited over).

I'd feel embarrassingly fangirly to admit what time I got home, but I'm going back to bed.

*about the kids: I think the parents were actually fans, because during 'This Life', they were like "See, listen. It's beautiful."

I'll just add one more particularly scary story.

Great concert, Adam sounded perhaps the best in the 3 concerts I've been to, etc.

But after the concert a bunch of girls hung around by the stage, hoping Adam would come back out on the stage to sign. My friend and I were stainding around, kind of between being outside and being inside, and all of a sudden we hear girls screeam, soo excited, in their glory, so we run to see what happened--he must have come out.

Someone threw the girls his water bottles. They screamed their heads off in excitement.

I grabbed my friend and ran out of there as fast as I could. I think it was one of the scariest fan behaviors I've ever seen.

And I've certainly seen a lot of that...

Heh, glad to see he's being more snarky. The obnoxious ones deserve it. For god's sake, someone asked to have his babies? I can't imagine ever saying that with a straight face, let alone shouting it out to someone onstage.

Lexi, I think all those fanfics and the psycho fans at the Nederlander are starting to get to you. Next you're going to be convinced that Adam's nickname is Todd. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Glad you guys had a good time (and got those damn posters finally signed- 2 down, 2 to go!). For the record, I wasn't asleep yet, I was just falling asleep. I actually went asleep *after* you called. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

OMG, I forgot about the water bottle incident, that was really pathetic, lol!

The queensryche thing cracked me up. I've seen them 6 times, but stupid me didn't shout out when he said to the kid "You and I are probably the only people who know who they are!". I always miss my cue! =)

at one of the studio 54 (i think) shows someone asked HIM for his water bottle and he gave it to her saying, "ok, but I don't wanna know what your gonna do with it!"

sounds like a great show, and I really want to know if this red bag lady is the person I think it is, ugh its killing me!

Great pics, the sparkle on the shirt makes it wonderful doesnt it?

Your picture turned out well, Jenna! And I'm so sorry we forced you to wait in the cold for so long. I originally didn't really care if we met him, but then I just wanted those posters signed!

Mesmerized, the red bag lady is 40/50ish, kinda bigger with curly brown hair. She has a daughter that usually accompanies her to these shows.

I'm glad everyone who went had a great time; and the pictures are wonderful. Though some of the "fans" that people have mentioned seem rather revolting...
