Hehe, skittles. My favorites are Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door.
And I thought Aida was a guilty pleasure!
Wow! It always seems that whenever I leave, I miss a huge discussion. Hehe
Yay! More Elton fans! I have grown up on him since birth. I used to tell people I was named after the song "Daniel", which very well could be true...it's my dad's favorite. My dad even has an Elton landmark...LOL.
Hey Dancingqueen! Why do you hate Ohio State?
"Clooooose ev'ry doooooor to meeeee...." I love that song. It's adorable when sung by a shy 5 year old at the synagogue talent show.
Welcome, sillyism! I saw AIDA live once, and after getting over my initial reservations (it wasn't "my type" of music. This is before I was really into Broadway, you see) I was crying at the end. Now I love it.

Elphie, did Adam's CDs ever arrive?
Walkingthroughfire- I hate Ohio State because I'm a Michigan fan. I was born in Ann Arbor and I go to the Michigan football games pretty much every week.
Yes, they did indeed, Lexi.

Have you LISTENED?
Haha, this reminds me. I saw a regional production of Joseph when I was like 12, and... well, I really liked it. I'm a loser. I saw Aida the following year, and I remember saying to my mom that I loved it so much, and it was like a combination of Joseph and The Lion King.
heh!

*loves Elton*
Going back a bit...
I'd agree about Aida's flaws not being as noticable live. When I saw it the first time with Heather, Adam, and Sherie, I found it engaging and stunning (and yes, I was the sap sobbing in the front row)...
It wasn't until I really started examining the show, and then saw it with other casts that I started to notice its flaws...
And yes, it's campy and not so historically accurate. And its more fun because of it

I'll admit it. I've only seen the video of the end, but I tear up, if not sob, everytime.
Oh goodness...I watch that video much too often.*Sigh*
Hey. Joseph is a quality musical. Especially since they made that awesome video.
Now embarrassing music is me, a blonde, very pale white girl, rocking out to Golddigger. I had to keep turning it down so my parents wouldn't hear it.
This showed up on Adam's myspace today - huh?

They probably forgot to enter a correct date for it. It's probably around the time of the Virginia and Tennessee dates. I can't really imagine that he'll be a big hit in the south, but I guess it's the next logical place to tour.
I was thinking it was on some other date also, Lexi, though so far I haven't been able to find anything about it on their website, which is rather confusing. (The website, that is.)
Also, there's an LJ person saying Adam is coming to a school in Boston this coming Friday:

Why would he be playing in Boston now and again in a little less than a month, though? If he were to play two dates in Boston, they'd be most likely consecutive. That girl doesn't strike me as exactly credible, either.
I know, it doesn't make a lot of sense. They go on at length about various plans for one of the posters to get to Boston on Friday though. Unfortunately they don't mention anything about which college or where this supposedly is. It could be just a mix up about the Wheelock College date. Here's the link -

Wow, that background makes my eyes hurt!
I ended up copying the text and pasting it into a document - that layout is a nightmare.
So hard to read. Interesting that things are popping up so last minute.
So what did you think of the CDs, Elphie? I'm very curious to know.
We were having a discussion in lit today, and the teacher kept using the phrases "what you own" and "living in America" over and over. I've had What You Own stuck in my head ever since, even though I was listening to Elton John as I drove home. Sounds like everyone's an Elton John fan here.
That LJ page makes my brain hurt.
WIcked or not, I don't know how you're supposed to read that.
I saw the Kentucky date, too. I was confused. Hmm.
I like the cds! I haven't had time to really give them too many careful listens, but I really like a lot of the songs. I'm sure the others will grow on me as I continue my listening.
I was wondering what was wrong with all of you, it started out as a plain pink background for me, then WICKED<3!!!
