It's called Driving Lessons. The stars are Rupert Grint (most famously from Harry Potter) & Julie Walters (who ironically played his mother in Harry Potter). The real synopsis is pretty long.Well it's basicall about a kid named Ben (Rupert) who lives in a very conservative town & has a very conservative mother. It's a school holiday & Ben has to spend his days at Bible camp while all the other kids has fun. Then he gets a job helping a retired actress (Julie). They take a road trip & do all sorts of crazy things. The trailer looks interesting.

This weather is not good for my allergies! I'm very sensitive to changes in barrometric pressure and now I have a huge headache on top of all of my allergies. I'm also feeling very lazy and tired. I just feel...blah!

I hope you get to see it. It looks a little like a variation on Billy Elliot, in which Julie Walters played the similar character of the ballet teacher.

I came across something I don't think I've seen before, an article about Adam's appearance at George Mason. There are two interesting comments from him - that he likes people to bootleg his shows because they're not otherwise available ("I'm curious to hear them too"), and that he'd like to write a musical some day.

I just found this picture on Illinois Wesleyan's website. They had a bunch of pictures from last year and this was one of them. it made my crappy day somewhat better.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Argh. I walked all the way to the computer lab to get help from the computer support people (well, all of across the street, but still) because my wireless is not working. And the ethernet connection keeps going in and out, but that's separate from the wireless. I go over there to get help, he does a few things and it works. I walk back to my room, try to get online and it doesn't work. It's so obnoxious. My wireless worked fine as of Saturday morning but as soon as I started having to uninstall and reinstall stuff to get on the network, then it F*CKed up. It's too late to go back over there now because it closes at 6pm and I don't have time to do this tomorrow, so that why I wanted to take care of it today. Grrr.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Hey, guys. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven It seems that everyone's kind of in the process of getting back into school stuff. I've been so busy lately! Hopefully things calm down a little soon. I started my job today, and I feel sort of inept (everything took me forever), but hopefully it was just a first day thing and that'll improve. I'm sorry to hear about your foot, skittles, but congrats on getting your class. What psych class is it?

Is tomorrow the big Sweeney trip? I totally want to hear about it!

Yay! I still like Cliff NunAdam the best. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

It's abnormal psych, Ash. I think I might have ranted about it in the spring when I didn't get in; it *sucks* to be a psych major when it comes to scheduling here, because we're always getting screwed over and the "fun" classes filling up with non-majors.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Well, this is weird.

Jim Moore, the Director of Performance Management at Westminster Choir College, emailed me and said that Adam ISN'T performing at their school, even though we all know that Adam's MySpace said he was...

I wonder what's the what?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

That's very strange. The note about it is very specific. I wonder if the concert is actually through Rider University instead? Or maybe the deal fell through, but in that case Mr. Moore would at least know about it.

Connie, check back in the thread a page for a link to some terrific pictures from the Today Show, if you haven't seen it already.

Bad day=losing your apartment key 15 minutes before you're supposed to be 10 minutes away in class. (I'm afraid its gone...tonight I'm going to get a copy of my roommates key)

Nun!Adam makes things better though

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Let us know what you find out, Connie.

Also, tell me if you emailed me back - not necessary, but I just set up that account and I'm not sure how to access it yet.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

The movie is just coming out, so it won't be available on DVD for a while. There's an easy way to find out about movie releases - go to www.imdb.com and look up the movie in which you're interested. In the upper right hand corner of the main page they show if the DVD or soundtrack CD are available yet.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Thanks - I finally figured out how to get to that account. It's amazing to me that a long detailed "Help" section wouldn't say anything about that, but as skittles and I both know at the moment, it's always the supposedly easy things that are the hardest.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Tell me about it. I spent half the morning being locked out of my house. I empathize with everyone going back to school. I go back tomorrow. It really sucks to wake up at 6 every morning, and I'm completely on summer schedule. Nine months seems like an awfully long time to be stuck in school. But NunAdam just made things a little better. Love the pictures, Chloe. The famous "Dirty Sanchez" shirt. When I saw Adam at the Grove, he was standing in shadow as I tried to point him out to my cousin. His shirt looked brown from where we stood, and she said, "Oh, is that him in the brown shirt?" The first thing that came into my head was "oh my gosh, is he wearing Dirty Sanchez AGAIN?"

My last evening as a free person. That's an optimistic view, isn't it?

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Thanks Chloe!

I'm so distraught right now! One of my favorite camp conselours got arrested for something he didn't do. He supposedly was sexually-touching a 7 year old girl while trying to save her. (He's a swimming teacher, & the girl was about to fall in the pool.) I just can't believe it because he's been teaching at the camp since I was little, & he's a swimming teacher outside of the camp. It just sucks to see someone wrongfully accused because one of the teachers who found out first, who was told by the little girl, took it way out of hand. I mean, how is a 7 year old girl know what's wrong (sexually).

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I'm sorry to hear that, Angela. This kind of thing is really tough to deal with. I hope it gets resolved fairly.

Ariella, that does seem like a fairly pessimistic view. I hope there's something you can find to enjoy in school. There's one good thing about being your age, even if you are in school. You're old enough to enjoy a lot of "adult" things, like the arts, good food and romantic relationships, but you don't have adult responsibilities yet. You don't have to worry about making a living, finding a place to live yet, or taking care of your own kids, so enjoy your freedom, even if you don't feel all that free.
