The more I hear about the movie, the more confused I am about its plot.
No one knows any of the plot details, other than that a washed-up rocker gets booked at a Catskills kosher casino and hotel, where the owner's daughter, who's supposed to marry the head rabbi's son, falls in love with him. I'm sure there are all sorts of subplots and complications. This cast list kind of hints at them.

30 year old hard living ex pop star, struggling to make it back into the spotlight. He's a good-looking, charming ladies man. Preferably, blond and blue-eyed. Must move well, triple-threat preferred.
Well Chloe, it makes much more sense now that you've laid it out :P. It sounds bizarrely interesting.
If you say so -
From what I know I think it has potential, though Murphy's Law seems to make it's home on movie sets. Minus the interesting Orthodox setting, it's a fairly standard romantic comedy plot, or combination of plots - the fish out of water and the opposites attracting. Whether it works or not is all in the execution.
Guess they decided they didn't need the triple-threat. 'cause... moves well? heeeeh.
Anyway, it sounds kinda cute, but like you said, it's all in the execution.
I agree; the movie sounds as though it could be cute, if executed well.

Already did! And I'm kind of excited for once that my state's election is one of the close ones.
Hey, I found this thread during Adam's spring tour but forgot about it. Then a few weeks ago at one of his concerts someone asked me if I posted here, so I decided to check it out again.
I've been a fan of Adam's for about 5 years now, but I've never really been active in the online community. Just wanted to pop in to say hi.

Hi and welcome! Have you seen Adam in any (bway) shows? And if you don't mind me asking, which concert did you go to? A lot of us here went to most of his recent shows. Don't be shy, we won't bite.
Hi, sweetdisaster, nice to see you. You've been a fan longer than I have.
Thanks for the welcome!
I saw Adam in AIDA in 2001 and again in 2004 during this final run, but never had the opportunity to see him in Cabaret. I was at his concert at SUNY Cortland in April and then Queens a few weeks ago.

Oh, a lot of us here went to the Queens show, including me. I unfortunatly never got to see Adam live prior to that concert.
I was really excited to go to the Queens show. I had great seats in the second row, but unfortunately was really sick that day and had no voice at all. Nevertheless, he put on a great show. Glad you got to see him live, To The Stage!

The second row? Please don't tell me you were one of the girls directly behind me who literally killed my eardrums. I'll assume not, considering the whole "no voice" thing.
Anyway, welcome! It's always great to see new faces.
Hi sweetdisaster.
Hello sweetdisaster and welcome!
siamese dream, I'm pretty sure the girls you were talking about were sitting next to me. It was her birthday and she seemed very, um, excited to say the least.
Thanks everyone for the welcomes again!
Ohh, that's the girl! She was sitting directly behind me. My poor, poor ears.
Hellooo, kiddies.
Ahoy!
*slumps* Tired.
I'm a bit out of it myself. This working all the time... I don't like it.
Adam doesn't say "hello kiddies" anymore as far as I can tell.
