I liked Hanson and Spice Girls, then I got old enough to make my own decisions and stop liking all the bands that the majority liked.
Oo right! "Mm bop sho be do bop.." haha I don't know. I like making up the words, I do that with 'we didn't start the fire' too..Ohh talking about Movin' Out, I bought Movin' Out nailpolish today, I was so excited!
Chloe, I LOVE Elton John. When I was 4, I listened to my mom's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road record every day.
My first concert ever was Hanson. I had a horrible time, so I ditched them and started liking 'N Sync instead.
Katt, have you checked out Hanson secrets on LJ?
I've never been to a concert before, is that weird?
I got the book! I got the book! Woohoo! I am a happy camper. Although, I must admit, I don't think I have ever paid sticker price for a book before, especially a hardcover, so my wallet is very empty. But it's worth it. :)
Mentioning your birth years is making me feel oooooooooold. When I was little people were into New Kids. I always liked Billy Joel when I was little, so I kinda missed the crazy fan kid stage. :)
I like Billy Joel and Elton John. I know all the words to We Didn't Start the Fire. I had to do a project on it in Grade 11. We were supposed to write a couple of points on each thing mentioned. I misunderstood and did a page, with a picture for each one. I got 100%. But we also had to sing the song, and we were recorded doing it, for some reason.

I listened to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road today, heh.
And I looked at the Hanson Secrets, but they were kind of scary. I like Hanson, and I've listened to MMMBop 1242323 times because everyone at my camp LOVES that song, but I don't really listen them often.
I'm not much of a concert person. The only two I've been to I was dragged along by my mom - Kenny Loggins and Linda Eder.
I was around for new kids. Although I had a doll, and didn't realize it was a new kid. I had a little doll, and she needed a boyfriend.

I've been to a few. I almost fell asleep at the Cher concert last year, heh. My aunt and uncle took me to see it. It wasn't because it was boring or anything, but I was incredibly exhausted that night. I don't understand how I almost did that though. That concert was LOUD.
Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Volume 1-4 was my other mandatory listening
CS, last year, my poli sci prof had us right the next verse to We Didn't Start the Fire to cover the time that has passed since then. I think I got a B because I was more concerned with having the beat match than getting as many historical references in as possible.
When I was six, I wanted to marry Jordan Knight. HAHA! And then, when I was 14, I was in love with the BSB. I just love boy bands.
I remember the New Kids on the Block movies..I had them

Now that you mentioned NKotB, it makes me want to listen to Step by Step.

I completely second that. I know many say he's "boring" and whatnot, but I really enjoy his music. I can't say I've listened to anything other than his greatest hits, but I can recite those word for word.
That song is so great for projects. I became oddly fascinated with thalydomide.
I've never been to any concerts besides BSB and Britany Spears when i was little. *blushes*
I used to like idolize her.. I was suchhhh a loser.
We did a history project on the whole song once. I learned all about random stuff! My favorite part is when they do the scary psycho music when he is singing "Chubby Checker, Psycho..."
My favorite concerts to go to are by far the Barenaked Ladies. Those guys are hilarious.
I LOVE Billy Joel
I've never really been to a concert.
My teacher liked the little guitar riff between the verses. Right before, Buddy Holly, Ben Hur, Space Monkey, Mafia, Hoola-Hoops, Castro, Edsel is a no-go. Sorry I couldn't stop.

I love Billy Joel. He's having a concert when I'm in NY, and we were looking at tickets. I really hope I can go. I love We Didn't Start the Fire, Allentown and The Piano Man. And Uptown Girl is pretty good.
oh, and Why Should I Worry, from Oliver and Company is awesome.

Although I know it's totally the college kid cliché, most of what I listen to are independent rock/punk/pop bands. On the other hand, there's also a lot of diversity... I love country music of the early '90s (and some classics), a lot of '90s mainstream alt rock, '80s new wave, classic rock... even some oldies. With very few exceptions, the only genre that I can't get into is rap/hip hop.
Edit: also echoing the Billy Joel love!

CS - the Barenaked Ladies practically belong to you, since they're Canadian and all. :) If they do a show anywhere near you, go go go! Their music is usually pretty decent but the shows are spectacular. They make up all kinds of stuff and do improv and joke around.
I'm seeing Billy Joel in concert with my mom in April. I'm *very* excited.
