There'll be over a thousand people there, so even those chances aren't so great.
Here's to Adam returning to NYC in a little while to star in a terrific Broadway show. Then any of you here who want to meet will get more chances, and I'll get to see him on stage again.

"I heard that those concerts were pulled."
That kinda sucks.. I was really looking forward to that.

I could be misinformed, but I was under the impression that only those with $1000 tickets could go to the after party -- not those with $500 tickets or lotto winners.
Again, I might be wrong.
Yes, guitargeek, some of the concerts were apparently cancelled or never going to happen in the first place, because they disappeared from the schedule. Perhaps he pulled them when he decided to move. I believe a date is still on that original page for a Long Island concert, but it's still far away and likely not definitive.

You're correct about the gala, Lexi. The Bay Shore concert is still listed for October. Let's hope it's correct.

Is there any more information about it? Other than it's...."The Bay Shore concert in October?" Wasn't it...the 13th or something?

They must be trying to limit the number of people considering there are probably various other Broadway-related people who are going to attend as well.
I wonder if Adam will have his new album out by October. I hope so.
I feel crummy, and just last night I had totally resigned myself to not going. I don't even think it's the benefit itself as much as feeling like the odd person out -- funny, because over 99% of Rent fans aren't going. Oh well.
ETA: Rogue, I'm not sure of the date as I no longer have the page bookmarked, but yes, a date was listed. Other than that, I don't believe there were any specifics.

Yes, Oct. 13 is the date, but there's no other info except "Bay Shore." Here's the link for the page it's listed on.
There are certainly a lot of odd people out in this situation, as you say.

Ok, thanks SD. I was trying to remember where the list was, but I don't.
Edit: Chloe posted it.

Do you guys know of any other October dates? I heard he was coming to the west side in October, or Fall sometime.

Thanks for the link, Chloe. Yeah, the Manahawkin date was pulled, unfortunately.

DancN, I vaguely remember reading that Adam was planning to tour on the west coast in the fall, but I don't know of any specific dates.
I hope his shows do well, but it's sad that we probably won't get as thorough of coverage considering his fanbase is centered in NY, and most fans on Broadway/Rent/Adam related message boards and sites tend to come from that area.
Does anyone know when the benefit concert is going to end and when the party is going to be done?

The thing that I find kind of annoying about the $500 tickets not including the party afterwards is that I would think they must have planned for the party to include the entire theater's worth of people back when the ticets were all $1000. I guess I can see the point in terms of not pissing off the people who payed twice the price, but it seems a bit of a waste.

The webmaster at a-p.com has said that Adam's management is looking for tour dates on the west coast in the fall. She's been trying to get him for her school in Vancouver.
I thnk Adam said the CD might be out more like Christmas-time, Lexi.

Oh, they lowered the cost of some tickets to $500 because they weren't selling? I haven't really been following the benefit prices and policies too closely, so I assumed that they were always planning on selling a set number for $500.
I still can't get over LA. It's just so... phony and fake. I wouldn't want to raise my children there, either.
Sorry, I guess it's my turn to depress the thread today. I guess I just haven't had the best day. It's alright.

That'll make the best Christmas present.
siamese- LA is a really good place to grow up. I dont know if I'd want Adam to move here, becuase I want him to keep doing Broadway, but if he does, its really not that bad.

Well, if it helps...at 7am I hit a rock, blew out my tire, and broke some rod that's important.

What's even more depressing is that I have to study tonight rather than wallow in misery at the fact that I can't be at the benefit concert.

I'm sorry, Fantab.
I have to write a speech tonight, as well as practice my piano (a lot) and do quite a bit of homework.

I was hoping for the Manahawkin one because my family's beach house is on LBI. Bummer.

Ooh, where in LBI, JL? My family rents a condo in Beach Haven every year. Love it down there.

Sorry, Fantab.
Did you know anyone who won? (I'm guessing not, obviously, but you never know).
