I can't wait to hear about it. I'm glad there are a fair amount of board people going to see him.
Chloe, I can definitely relate on needing to address things that I've been putting off much longer than I should. I need to make a few major decisions in the next few months, and thinking about those things just makes me feel sort of queasy. I guess I'm waiting for things to fall into place on their own, which undoubtedly they won't. :-/

Aww, super big hugs to Ashley! We love ya!
Thanks, Lexi. Sorry for the melodrama...
It's so much more pleasant to post on BWW than face those serious issues, isn't it? I know just how you feel, Ashley.
I think we need a group hug!
Absolutely! ::hugs::
*hugs!*
And yes, Chloe, unfortunately it is. I'm trying to deal with it, though!

Don't be sorry. It's great to have a place to vent sometimes. I know that you feel the way that I do about posting your personal troubles, but if you ever feel the need to talk to me or any of us, we're here. I don't know if I'm facing serious issues per se right now, but I definitely know how you feel about the internet as a sometimes unhealthy escape. It's a place where you can almost always find a group of people with the same interests, and a place where you can click out of the window when you're annoyed if you so choose.
Good night everyone...
I'm a bit late, but I could stil use a group hug. *hug*
'night Chloe!
Well this is very late, but ::hugs:: back to you, Bohemian.
Here's some more news - Adam is doing a show in Virginia in January. A new performing arts center has been built there and he's part of the opening season. He's billed as a Broadway performer, so maybe this will be the show with a full band. Look at the sidebar on the left for the exact date. Tickets go on sale later in August.
Suffolk show

Are we sure this is Suffolk County New York and not Suffolk, Virginia?
Oh god, you're right. When I saw "Hampton" I just assumed it was on Long Island, home of "the Hamptons." Oh well, nice for the people in Virginia! I'll edit my first post.
Nice to know the tour is starting to shape up, at least.

Yeah, it's in VA.

ASHLEY! Do you live near here?!
Er... same state! (No, not terribly.) If it's over winter break, I'd love to try to go! I hope it is.
Yay for travelling Adam! It's great, since he'll be getting more recognition around the U.S. He's mainly stayed on the coasts.
ponine: Where is the quote from in your signature?
ETA: I don't believe this has been posted, but this is from Adam Pascal Online:
Adam Pascal will be hosting a FREE mini-concert this Saturday, July 22 at 12-Noon at the Grove in Los Angeles (189 The Grove Drive). The casts of both Tick...Tick...BOOM! and RENT will each be performing live -- a Jonathan Larson musical extravaganza!

Eek. Could he have found a city farther away from me in the state next door?
Aww, yay ttB. Wilson is so nice. That sounds like a fun concert, with all the different "generations" of Rent.

Yay! I'm glad Adam is doing something.
Damn, Chloe I was getting so excited when it said Hamptons! I live in the Hamptons (but i'm not a selfish, spoiled, rich girl, like most people think the Hamptons are full of, which it actually isn't.) Did that make sense?
My mom bought tickets for her and my brother to go see Rent. I am so happy that she's finally going to go see it. Given my mom's disposition, I'm really glad to see her taking the plunge and giving it a chance because it's so important to me. Her interest has never been *great*, but she wants to see what it is that I love so much, and I'm really grateful to her for that.

That's really great Emcee, I hope she enjoys it.
I'm getting my friend tickets to see Rent for her birthday, we're going on the 27th. It's her first time going and i'm going to surprise her with the tickets, should be exciting!
I don't think she will, but maybe she'll surprise everybody. I hope my brother loves it. I think he might.
It's great that she's giving it a chance, at least, Em.
The thing that Adam's doing in LA sounds interesting. Is anyone from here going to be able to go?
There's a novel I've been reading over the last few weeks (it's taken a while because it's basically a string of job interview misadventures had by a college senior who doesn't really know what she wants to do with her life -- gee, that doesn't sound familiar -- and I've been reading it a chapter at a time), and anyway, at one point she decides to audition for Rent on a whim and gets called back for Maureen. I thought it was interesting that there was a Rent-related plot development in a book that I already relate to a lot.
Heh, in the book Sellevision, this guy is listening to his favorite CD while driving to work- the original Broadway cast recording of Rent. It caught me offguard to have a Rent reference in something completely unrelated, but it makes me smile.
That's great about your mom, Em. My mom saw Rent with my a year ago and while she didn't say *anything* for a long time, good or bad, I definitely think she's much more understanding of my infatuation with it than before.
Today I was helping my mom clean out her closet. All of a sudden she starts singing Rent. I'm like when did this happen? She was singing songs from it last week too.
