Fantabulous - in high school we had to sign our names to enter the library and one day I went in, took the pen and stared at the sheet for like 2 minutes. I couldn't remember my name! The harder I tried the more confused I got. It was weird and I felt stupid.

that's funny. I've had moments like that before. Not necessarily my own name, but something else that I should have known as easily. Like my phone number or address. I just go completely blank when someone asks me for it all of a sudden.
I guess if it can happen with the name of someone you know perfectly well, it could happen with your own name too. It must have been weird.

Weird it was. Fight Club weird.
Getting asked what my phone number is stumps me WAY too often. I think it's because I never dial it! :)

Hey Fantab! You changed your avatar..woahh, it is a little confusing, but i'll get used to it.
Sometimes I mix up my phone number with my best friend's =P They are very similar though..
Well, forgetting your phone number makes sense, because you hardly ever use it.
I don't know my sister's cell phone number, which should be weird, considering she's the person I call/text more than anyone, but I just use the contact list on my cellphone all the time.
I remember that I used to not know my social security number until I had to fill out all those damned college applications.
The one that I hate is "Last four digits of your social security number." I have to do the mental scramble to recall the number, and then have to say it to myself and separate out the last four digits. It's sort of stressful in situations where you're supposed to come up with it on the spot. I really need to just memorize it.
I don't know what my cell phone number is, so whenever someone asks I have to turn off my phone, turn it on again, and then the number shows up for like 5 seconds, so I have to memorize it quickly.

haha same here dancin..
Good morning! I just woke up.. How is everyone?
I have a little tidbit. Larry Edoff is in the process of updating his website (he has a nice new look) and just posted this:
Larry is in Los Angeles for the month of July working with Adam Pascal, writing material for a new CD. Adam and Larry will be touring in the fall to support the new release. Stay tuned to this website for updates!
In other news, it's way too f*cking hot.

Good to hear. I'm assuming that the news tidbit is referring to a new Adam album, not Larry album, and that Larry is helping with some of the musical arrangements.
Oh definitely. I don't think Adam would tour to promote Larry's CD.
Yaaaaaaaay new material.
Yes, it's great to get confirmation that work on the CD is actually happening. It also sounds like he'll be playing a bunch of new stuff this fall. I'm really wondering what it will be like. As I told Lexi, I would love him to combine the relaxed feeling and eclectic quality of MP with the excellent songwriting of Civilian.

I'd love to see that happen as well. It would be like the ultimate solo cd....to me at least.
The avatars are confusing me, probably because mine hasn't changed for awhile. But I don't ever remember Fantab's being different.

I agree, Chloe. I also wish he'd revert to a more personal approach to the lyrics. I like Civilian more overall than Model Prisoner, but I feel like Civilian's lyrics are heavily rooted in reaction to others' emotions, along with hypothetical situations, while MP's lyrics are more of an outpouring of his own emotion. It's more of a personal preference than anything.
I hadn't thought of it that way, Lexi. You may be right, though I think Civilian is really personal too.
Sarah, Emcee had Fantab's avatar for a little while, so that may be what's confusing. By the way, you're a beacon of stability in the chaotic world we live in.

Well, I do too, I just think MP strikes me as a bit more personal. A lot of it could be rooted in the aforementioned reason, but it could also be a result of Civilian's more cryptic lyrics.
Sorry, Sarah! I finally detached myself from my old one, but I've been flip-flopping with others. I'm quite indecisive.
Fantab, it sounds like you stuck with one for so long because you couldn't make up your mind what to switch it to. Lately I haven't been so much indecisive as decisionless. So many things in my life need to be addressed, and I'd just rather... not.

I'm not too wise, but maybe some of the answers you're looking for will come to you on their own, Chloe. It's not always so bad to be less than proactive.
That's true, though I'm afraid I rely on being non-proactive more than is good for me.
Meanwhile, Sh-K-Boom has put Adam's concerts on their news page, with a link to this site:
