That would be nice, Alex. What's the situation with tickets there - I haven't done my homework obviously. Is there a lotto we should think about, or is it going to be full price? I probably wouldn't want to do a lotto anyway because I don't like making the trip all the way in if I don't know I have a ticket for sure.
Any thoughts about the date? I'm not committed to Tuesday by any means, it was just a suggestion.
No, no lotto. You can buy $36 tickets in advance, if you're concerned about cost.
And $36 is also the cost of the student rush tickets.
Where does $36 put you? That's pretty low for a musical. I could go higher, but if we're going to try to sit together, I know some don't want to spend a lot. Emcee, are you thinking of going? How many people are we talking about here? I know Lexi was considering it.
They have $36 rear mezz seats. It might be different because it'll be within closing week, but usually people in the rear mezz are moved up to front mezz.
Then there are $36 student rush tickets, which could put you anywhere. Sometimes rear mezz (and moved up to front), back of orchestra, mid-orchestra. It would probably be harder to get the mid-orchestra seats if there was a larger group...that is, if those are even available.
I really can't commit to anything until the day of, because my schedule is kind of all over until school starts... and I'm not sure if I want to just keep it to one more or not. Whether or not I see the show, I'd love to meet up, though.
I'm not a student anyway - far from it. It sounds like it'll be Fantab, Alex, and Lexi, and possibly Emcee. Is there anyone else?
Well, it's 2 tickets per ID.
And, I'm not positive that I'm going to go. I'll probably eventually cave, but I need to at least pretend to have some self control.
Really? I assumed both people would have to provide student IDs. That sounds like a good deal. I was thinking we could have dinner before the show. Remember the Argentine restaurant I wrote about a while ago? It's only a couple of blocks away from the theater. It's not cheap though - entrees are in the teens, I think - but incredibly good. There's also a good Indian restaurant nearby, or there's always the Olympic diner if we want to be frugal.

Fantab or Emcee, how much do I have to pay if I want Michael to spit on me?
I'm really torn about the money situation. As many of you know, I had to purchase a new laptop out of the money I earned at Starbucks this summer, which leaves me without as much money to spend in NYC as I would have liked. On the other hand, if $20 more is going to put me in awesome seats and I'm only going to see this show one more time, I'm willing to pay more money. I also think it's good for Chloe to see it from good seats, as it'll be her first and only time. However, I think we all want to sit together, and I'm not sure how everyone else feels about the cost.
Well, if you want the Cerveris spit, I'm guessing you're asking how much front row seats are? They're $110, as are the rest of the orchestra seats.
There aren't even any discount codes that extend until then.

Okay, that IS a bit too much for me. I saw it last time from row E and the ticket cost me $50 or so, but I had a discount code. It sounds like we'll be doing student rush!
Will there DEFINITELY be student tickets available if we go the same day to buy the tickets?

I'm doubtful that they'll magically start selling out.
I like being close, but I also own very good opera glasses.
Honestly, even the rear mezz is not bad at ALL. The theater is small, and those are fantastic seats. :)
Em and I have sat alllll the way in the mezz. Not only far back, but shoved in the corner, and it wasn't bad at all.
And for a first time, I'm inclined to say it's better to see the show from farther away.
I think it is, too.

I am so. excited. Fantab and Emcee, you must come along. You must!
Ariella, if you're reading this exchange... if I may ask, what Minnesota school do you attend?
Aww, Lexi. I'm glad that you're so excited! I secretly wanted you to see it again. And no, there's no guarantee that there will be student tickets available, but unless there's a mad rush because it's the last week, they should have them.

:) Honestly, I hope you didn't think I wasn't planning on seeing it again because I didn't enjoy it. I honestly felt that nothing could match the first time I saw it again -- and who knows, maybe I won't feel the same intensity but notice a few things I didn't see the first time.
I'm getting excited too now, but I'd better get to bed. The LIRR Babylon trains still weren't running when I watched the late news, so I'm not even sure I'll be able to get to work tomorrow, but I've got to try.
No, I knew that's why you didn't want to see it again. But there are just *so* many little things going on, that if you have the opportunity to see it again, you really should
Hey Lexi! I go to St. Paul Acad in St. Paul, MN. Academically, I guess it's good, but unfortunately a school like that attracts a lot of the *very* snobby wealthy. I can sympathize about the cost of tickets and all. I'm always saving up money so that I afford to go to various shows.
It sounds pretty ritzy all right, Ariella.
Wow, slow day here.

Nothing too interesting happening here... I have three days of work left and I'm, uh, transferring files to my new computer.
I still can't wait until Sweeney, though.
