We ran in the snow once...well actually it was flurries, but SNOW is much more dramatic. Let's hope that he doesn't get entirely pissed off at the little freshies. (which are usually the cause of the runs in the rain...not allowed by the school if it's totally pouring...drizzles are fine, and so is on and off raining.) Running in the rain is just god awful on your hair. A Junior in Freshmen gym, the story of my life. Otherwise, all is good in the merry little land of High School...so I shall not be complaining.

My aerobics teacher was very lenient about making us run. However, she put us through Step Aerobics Hell as a substitute.

That what I needed, aerobics, but they only have two sessions, and unfortunately that happens to be French (there is currently only one French 3 class, and 43 people in it...so not legal...we have to wait until equalization) and pre calc, which seems to be a little packed at the moment as well. I don't feel like taking the risk of losing my sane Latin teacher, my lunch band, the English teacher I think I love to get out of what could become hell, an easy Spanish teacher, all depending on the temperment of Mr. A. Yay!

Dear God, where are you going to school? This is just sad. We have about 5 language teachers for each language.

OMG that sucks Marlene!! Only ONE French 3?? We have a bunch of teachers for each class!!

There's no ventilation in my high school, so it's like, 100 degrees with the windows open. It's horrible.

Well I'm not positive if there is only one French 3. My HS prefers not to give people credit for the foreign language you took in middle school, unless you took the proficiency...which I did. (for Spanish) French is my snooze elective, with a teacher that loves me and that's going to write me a killer college recommendation...I think. So there maybe another French 3 class, or some poor freshmen are going to be forced to in to a language they don't want to take...either Spanish or Japanese. Hrm...I only wonder if I should have taken Hebrew...not a single person doesn't have a stellar average in that class--since they don't follow a state curriculum or have to take a Regents. Poor freshmen that have to endure French 1 all over again...then again there's someone in there that has already taken the Regents--go figure, programing is always messed up. There's like 15 people in one English class, and 40 in another...haha.

I spent homeroom doing stupid things, including kissing a pciture of Adam on my binder when I was bored.

Off to do HW...

Yea,my French class has 7 people. And there's only one class for our grade. How sad.

My senior year, my AP biology class was at a popular time, and the first day, we had like 38 people in it. There weren't even enough seats. My teacher was far too nice to scare people out of the class, but my Euro class had about the same number of people originally - the teacher was one of those who tries to scare the students out the first day to widdle down the size. He was QUITE successful.

I had one of those scary teachers too, who basically said that this subject would never lead to anything worthwhile, and it would take a hell of a lot of work to get there.

Then there was another teacher who used to lurk in halls and yell 'Boo!' at unsuspecting passers-by. FOOD

He ended up being one of my favorite teachers, Ellie. I knew that it was basically an act, so I didn't get scared - but he was brilliant, and incredibly charismatic... so much passion for what he taught.

Luckily I've never actually had one of those REALLY scary types.

I did have one evil teacher with a very red face and hideous moustache, who did nothing but make us learn off pre-prepared standard answers to likely exam questions. From the start of the class to the end, us poor students would be writing until our wrists ached. He was mean as well. Gah, I hated him.

On the other hand, my art teacher was absolutely amazing! So inspiring and you could tell she loved her job. She wasn't even really like a teacher - more like a free spirit who just wandered into the classroom. I miss her. FOOD

That's how I felt about my music teacher. I really, really miss him. He demanded respect, but genuinely did care about his students. People listened to him, and they trusted him. He's pretty close with my family, so I got to know him on an educational and personal level, but he was also the best conductor I'll ever work with, and just one of those truly good-hearted people. He was the only one who could get me to pull things together after the college rejection letter that so devastated me. I owe him more than I could ever pay back, I'm sure. That was a goodbye that I wish I never had to say.

I know what you mean. My art teacher taught me much more than art! I wish she could've come to college with me...

Teachers like that are so much more affecting than bitter old morons who teach with such resentment it can cause you to build up a hatred of the actual subject!

*is here*

My teachers... oi.

We're reading Kissinger's Diplomacy, which, according to my teacher, is usually only used with grad school students. So, naturally, she dumps thirty pages a night on us.

I'm sorry nia! FOOD

My history teacher is hilarious! But he's strict at the same time, so everyone respects him and everything. It's one of my favorite classes.

Those are hot!!

I feel very similarly (like Emcee and Ellie) about one of my theatre teachers.

We had the craziest substitute today...
