A gracious bump from page two. I think some freshman died, there are no longer 43 people in my French class. Equalization on Wednesday...my schedule shall not change, or I will have to kill. I'm chum buddies with the gym teacher as of now...lunch band, which means we meet everyday but we never run more than 2 miles. The only pro about running with freshmen...we assume that they can't run.

Roommonster, hehe. I love it! I do have an update, actually! Not a good one, but it's another story, nonetheless. Settle in, everybody!
Okay, I went out and asked if she had the mailbox key. I was very friendly. She went, "Oh! Yeah, I do... somewhere. Give me a minute and I'll go look for it." Okay. So I came back into my room... I heard her out in the kitchen. She finished with the blender (hummus! And I didn't get any offered to me. ), washed every single dish she had dirtied, and THEN went to look for the key. A few minutes later, I heard her shuffling (she doesn't walk, she shuffles around) through the living room and stop at my door. I was facing away from it, but it was wide open. I got up and turned around, to find her standing there, eating a granola bar and holding the key way out in front of her.
"Thanks!" I said, and smiled, like a grateful little roomie. "Who's that?" she asked rather rudely (well, it was more of a demand, actually), pointing at my friend's graduation picture in a frame on my windowsill. "My friend Scott," I said. Without a word, or second glance, she shuffled away into her room and closed the door behind her.

That doesn't sound too awful, my dear VT. At least she washed up after herself!
Although, just say the word, and I shall send some of my henchmen to dispose of her.

Maybe she'll learn? At least she speaks now.

Hallo everyone! Waht'd I miss?

This encounter was a full day after I left her a nice little note (on a music note-printed Post-it) complete with another smiley face, asking for her to leave the key on the counter for me, as I was expecting some mail from home. She did not.
Hello everybody - Allie, your roommate seems lacking in the social graces department. I hope you discover she's hiding a heart of gold at some point.
I've been in LA for my job this week and the internet connection in my hotel room was broken. Here's what I can tell you about the ratings system (basically what I said in the thread about the RENT rating earlier tonight).
It's somewhat unpredictable and subjective, despite the guidelines. I worked on a film earlier this year that we all were sure was a shoo-in for a PG-13. It's a light, farcical romantic comedy with a little bit of sex and no profanity. However, it got an R. It's a Disney film and the Disney people said that their films are held to a higher standard because they made children's films for so long.
This may be true, but I suspect the main reason was the subplot that depicts the Catholic Church in a very unflattering light. (This is a period piece, so nothing to do with the current scandals.)
RENT seems to have gone the other way, and I'm wondering if it's because of it's uplifting main message and status as a musical. It may also be that my movie got the conservative board members, and RENT got the liberal ones.

Well... she's not outrightly mean, she's just... weird.

Nia, I'm afraid I've other jobs for you - my chest hair needs to be trimmed, and my toenails could do with a clipping. I always save the best for you - you know you're my favorite henchman!
What type of music does she like, Allie? I'm trying to get a feel for her...is she a surly goth? A girly pop princess? A Nirvana worshipping hoodie-wearer? A non-sterotype?

She's into indie music... and was thoroughly offended that I'd never heard of most of her favourite bands. I thought that was the point of indie music?! Not a lot of people have heard of the artists?

What is this non-stereotype of which you post?
Actually, I'm trimming Emcee's chest hair now.
That's right!
Hi!! *waves* I've had no computer since I moved on Tuesday. (And I still don't, I'm visiting someone). Did I miss anything super-interesting?

What bands does she like?
Has she ever heard of Adam Pascal, I wonder? Huh? I doubt it, the filthy philistine!
Emcee, pass Nia over when you're done. Thanks.

Read about about my roommonster! (Seriously, Nia, that's the best moniker EVER.)
You're roommate/monster is special, at least she cleans up after herself...
