Fanfiction creeps me out....the fiction has already been created. Why do we need any more?

Based on what I've heard and read in interviews, I'd say they love each other, but that does NOT mean they're screwing around. A very deep friendship is another kind of love and they have very definite roots. Sharing that kind of experience with someone is bound to bring you closer together.
As for the characters, sure. It'd be cute if there was a reverse version of Rent- Angel goes for Mimi because she wants to share a wardrobe and a bed, Roger and Mark get together because... well, makes sense sometimes. Certain pairs of actors HAVE played it rather slashy.
Allie, thanks for that link - I've been looking for that kind of stuff forever. I can't get the siteforrent videos to play either.
The end of that conversation on Sirius was Seth saying something about the stories portraying Adam on the downlow. Adam says that it would be pretty hard to be on the downlow in Broadway musical theater. Someone would be bound to know something.
Well, of course it goes without saying that love is a broad-ranging term. I don't mean it to say that they don't have a very deep, caring, meaningful relationship that I take it goes far beyond the work they've done together, but that doesn't mean it's sexual. Every gay man isn't attracted to every other man in the known universe simply because he's into guys. Adam's hot, but that doesn't mean Anthony has to be attracted to him.
hehe, I loved the down-low bit.
ehhh...I'm still not a big different character slash fan. I'm just not a fanfiction fan anymore. Oh well. To each his own. I toast everyone's opinions. Who knows who could be right? *haha, joke...that no one ever gets*

Well, I'm sure people on broadway go on the 'down low', but in an entirely different sense of the term.
Almost all fanfiction is a waste of space.
I've a LONG day tomorrow, so goodnight to all.
Bye insomniak!!!!! Yeppers, I have to go, too. I actually have to finish my homework, instead of just doing geometry and then listening to aida (ADAM!!! "We all live such elaborate lives") for an hour. Hehehe...kay, bye now everyone!!!!

Goodnight, Nia! (and BEHAVE! )
Chloe, they're not the best quality, but good nonetheless! I just watched them twice, heh.
I think that *is* what "on the downlow" means - unless I'm misinterpreting you!
bye niaaaaaaa!
psh, who expects her to behave?
ETA -- the down-low Adam was referring to is the "typical" DL... when you keep something under the radar. Nia's down-low? Yeah, you know.
Its so sad! All you east-coasters go to bed so early b/c of the time difference. Its only 8:30!!
Okay back to the thread.

Bwahahaha! Love it, Emcee.
It's 12:30 for me, iwearshoes.
And, well, if Adam's doing any of that...
I didn't do my homework. And I'm tired. But I need to get back on a schedule on which I don't go to sleep at 3 a.m., so I think I'm going to go to sleep when I'm tired, rather than fighting it and trying to stay up.
I don't think so - "on the downlow" is pretty commonly used to mean acting straight while secretly having gay sex. There was a big NY Times Magazine article about it a couple of years ago.

Oh, Emcee, please finish that sentence. Please? Hahahaha!!
Oh, no. I have nothing to say.
If that's what it was that made his boat float, more power to him.
ETA -- I think that's probably what it originally did mean, Chloe. But it's been picked up in a more general colloquial sense. I know I heard it a lot growing up, in school, if there was some piece of gossip that Person X didn't want known, s/he was keeping it "on the DL."
"Every gay man isn't attracted to every other man in the known universe simply because he's into guys."
WORD.
Real-person fanfic, no matter what the story line, totally creeps me out. As for fictional character fanfic, I do occasionally go on fanfic-reading binges, but then realize that wading through the mountains of crap to find the well-written stories isn't worth the time.

I was under the impression it specifically referred to black men who identified as straight but secretly had sex with other men.
haha, I got a "WORD!"
Right - but what he seemed to be saying was that he couldn't be on the downlow, because it would be impossible to keep it secret in the Broadway musical theater world.
Exactly.
"SOMEONE would know!"
Yes, Adam. Since you can't really do that yourself, someone would definitely know.

My health teacher was just talking about this today... we were discussing homosexuality. It's insane how immature the people in my class were about it. Good thing none of them went to see Rent, heh.
Very true. Let's hope Adam is insinuating to THAT downlow than the other one...I would hope that Adam is not cheating on Cybele (I love her name).
Me too; it's such a pretty name.
Her entire name is pretty! Cybele Chivan...it's a stage name (in my opinion) but I don't think she does stage. Her name fits it, though.
