Her entire name is pretty! Cybele Chivan...it's a stage name (in my opinion) but I don't think she does stage. Her name fits it, though.
You mean you think it would make a good stage name? She's a playwright.
I'm gonna go read some of Without You. I'll be back.
Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry...I tend to not speak too pertty...hahaha...right. That's really cool that she's a playwright! FUUUUUN!
And it's actually Cybele Chivian, with an 'i'. They misspelled it in the Playbill interview. It is a beautiful name.
I know "let's keep it on the downlow" (which was a line in School of Rock, by the way) is commonly used the way you describe, Emcee, but I'm sure Seth, who's so gay himself, would be using it with it's gay meaning. It did start out as a black term, I believe, but it's become more general.
Well, I think I've done enough contradicting for the night - I'm off to bed too.
Good old Seth.
pft.
I think I'm going to go to bed soon, too. *pets book*

After that interview, I totally want Seth to be my best friend. He's so funny!

You know, it occured to me that I never heard Adam's chorus in Will I? until I saw the movie. I always followed Anthony's line the whole way through the song.
And I always thought it was Rosario singing on the album...is it? and then they have the life supporters sing in the movie?
also it makes me smile that the guy from gilmore girls is in rent, and the guy from mighty ducks.

Allie, thanks for the link to the press reels! I had not see those yet
But on another note: UGH. There are two threads on the IMDB boards that bash Adam's acting. These girls are like "he can't act for the life of him but he's nice to look at and nice to listen to!!" Ughhhh. UGH.
ETA: I know he's not the *best* actor, but I don't know why people are saying he did such a bad job in the movie.

My sister loves Gilmore Girls... she'll probably recognize him and nobody else from the movie!
I thought it was Rosario, too. It DOES sound like her. I guess it's possible that they just used her voice!

Who did Wayne Wilcox play in Gilmore Girls? I used to watch it but I don't remember him.
Aaron Lohr - I recognized him from Newsies

Ohh, okay. Thanks. I think I had stopped watching by the time she starts going to Yale. I stopped watching when Jess (Yum!) left.
I loved him (Wayne) in the Life Support scenes - they always make me tear up!
I'll bash THEM.
Okay, that's a lie. I'd poke my eyes out before I'd get involved in a fight on the IMDB boards.
Rosario says kissing Adam was "damn good." I'm a lot jealous. I mean, of course it was good, but.... gah.
I didn't notice Adam's line in Will I? until I saw the movie and knew he was in the scene. Of course when I saw his mouth moving and could match it up to the voice, I found him. I don't think I heard it on the CD because when I try to pick out his voice, I'm not usually looking for something so low; not used to hearing im sing that low down. I always followed Anthony's, too, but now I know where Adam is.
aaahhh! I have to write a review of Rent for my school newspaper. It's going to be hard. :-/
What confused me in the movie was that during "Life Support", there are two people singing "Because reason says....", and in the show Roger songs it, too, but in the movie, they only show Gordon (?).
I'm glad mine got someone else to do the review.
Maybe someone sitting down is joining him?
yea, you just gotta pretend like you see roger in life support. do you think most people understood that?
yea, I always heard rosario's voice in will I? And I know that adam is in there, but when I listen to it I can't find him. adam, where are you?
I don't think that's his voice. People wouldn't get that at all.
It sounds like Adam's voice in Life Support, though...
I struggled to hear Adam in "Will I?" on the soundtrack after I saw the movie. It's very faint compared to the other voices, but I can hear it. I just wait until I hear the LAST PERSON repeat the verse.
It's one of a few instances where he doesn't sound so distinct; like, in What You Own, on "the filmmaker can not see..." that barely sounds like him.
I have a lot of trouble picking out the individual voices in "Will I?" The only one I can usually identify is Rosario's.
