Very good conversation tonight; I'm glad everyone who was here was... here. I'm going soon too. And I'll have Sondheim DVDs to watch tomorrow. My library rocks.

I'm going again...no need for more 'goodnights', though!
Have fun with your DVDs, Nia. See you all tomorrow maybe!
Curse me for sleeping until past noon. Sigh.
Goodnight again, Ellie!
Okaaay...I just read it all...we went from homosexuality to gossip. *thinks of something intelligent to say that wasn't already said*
I do agree with the whole concept of the "sliding scale" theory, but I bet you that there are people out there that are so devoted to his/her religion, moral upbring, etc, that wouldn't necessarily comply with that mentality.
I for one do know that I have close friends that have admitted to their ocasional lesbian tendencies. I've yet to have one of my close male friends admit to that. The discussion of gays and lesbians is certainly a facinating topic in my household. (My mother...wow. I don't know how she calls herself a democrat...)
In school, I have to agree that the general student body is very liberal when it comes to accepting homosexuality. You'll definately be bashed for speaking against homosexuality. I wouldn't say that everyone is comfortable with it, but there are no extreme people or a general consensus that looks down upon it. As a matter a fact, there's actually some after school club that discusses that after school that promotes "education" about the topic. To be honest I'm not sure if they actually do that...great group of people though.
G'nite y'all. Will & Grace...yay! And my much needed beauty rest.

its what we get for being "night owls" Em.
Although it won't be too long until I fall over as well.
Nia, any library with Sondheim DVDs is a keeper. I love libraries in general.
Marlene, you slipped in. Hello.
I agree that many either can't see or don't want to see the sliding scale. We just have to work on that.
I haven't read all the pages I missed, but sounds like I missed some interesting stuff while attempting to do work!
ha, hello and goodbye, Marlene!
It's Demi Moore!...:/...but Jack...I love Jack. All 'tis well!
I just turned it on!
Well I'm finally off...talk to you guys later! : )
I don't know if anyone saw, but I did my job. Our musicals are officially plugged in the "3 Favorite Musicals" thread. I'm afraid no one will notice they are not just "old shows" though.
Is anyone around?
It is somewhere in here, if you want the musical link Marlene.
I'm here. Hanging in.
I figure that Orientation is really busy because they always have us doing something. Once classes start on monday, I can be 'working' on my laptop more often...
Er, and actually working, of course.
*misses you guys*
It looked like last time I poked in, everybody started leaving. I'm sort of here...
LARI!!!
so good to "see" you!
Orientation is always a bit of a hassle. You'll be back to see we slackers soon enough.
Yeah, I miss the fun from you slackers.
Well, right now, a third of my house is at a party. I'm not a party person. I usually like to know everyone at my party--because then I'm a social butterfly! But if I don't know many people, I'm a wallflower.
Besides, I don't drink.
It can be good either way. It always depends on my mood, although when I go somewhere new I'm often like you and decide not to go out until I know people.
I didn't drink when I was your age either.
