Now they're bashing the boy on the main board and I'm sad. Slash oversenitive.

He lurks far more than he posts, but that was always the case.

They're bashing Anthony? I thought they were bashing Adam.

I don't see the point in repeating OVER and OVER how much you didn't like a certain person's performance. I'd be happy to list the reasons as to why I felt Idina is a subpar actress (actress, NOT singer) in every thread that mentions her name, or go into every Wicked thread and post about how I'm not a fan of the music at all, but I choose not to as I hope I have more maturity than that.

Although I don't really agree with the bashing, at least they're not just bashing him, the non-love is being spread out. And you knew that as soon as that thread started bad things were going to happen.

yeah ... talk about beating a dead horse! I mean, they're arguing over people getting or not getting nominations that the awards were already given out!

Even though tonight is another weekend night due to the holiday tomorrow, I am not feeling motivated to do anything that involves getting off my couch ...

It's like people take pleasure in it. And then act as though their opinion IS the rule. Maybe if you repeat it 298794882340938409384093840938 times, someone else will join your cult, or something. Who knows? Or you just have to keep proving how RIGHT you are.

It's hard because BroadwayGirl07 behaves for Idina as I often do for Adam. So then, we collide. Granted, I don't have a thing against Idina.

I tend to avoid posting, because I'm obviously biased, and I'm a little scared of jumping into that. A lot of the posts could be done in a way that isn't so mean, if they don't like someone's acting that's fine, but they don't have to say they're the weak link. Some people just like to be mean, and they'll say mean things about whoever you're defending (even if they agree with you) just to rile you up. And some people post and say they're open to others opinions, but they really aren't, like you said Em, they're right and that's all there is to it. That's why I tend to stay away from the main board.

Right, Em, but I think you also realize that some matters are inherently subjective and therefore, there isn't a definitive "right and wrong."

I posted that, as I have many times before. When you're as defensive as we can get, it's stupid to think that there's anything of a right and wrong.

I happen to be extremely argumentative, as well.

On that note, I'm going to go make dinner. I'm having pork tenderloin, which means I get to beat it with my meat cleaver.

I loved BBM. The only thing I didn't love is my 2 friends who went with me NOT liking it. Thank God For Adam I was very impressed with the large and diverse audience at the 1:15 in the afternoon show today. I guess the fact that it isn't playing at many theaters in the area means that people are driving more than the usual 10 minutes to see the movie.

I'm posting this here so as to avoid adding to the debate on the other board, but I actually really enjoyed Adam's acting in the Rent movie, except in cases where the scene itself did not flatter him (namely Your Eyes, which as shot for the movie would've been unflattering to almost anyone). I'd like to think that I'm a fairly critical person, so if he was noticably sub-par I would've taken note of it. I thought that the cast were all mainly on the same level acting-wise, except for Rosario who gave the standout performance.

The thing that's the catch about this is that many of the nay-sayers' observations are not incorrect -- they just happen to think his performance didn't work, while others do.

That's true, I guess a lot of it has to do with how you interpret the character.

I like Roger better angry. But I don't think Adam showed any less guilt in his subtler approach for the movie than he did with his angry approach on stage.

I saw Tristan and Isolode or however you spell it today. I really want to see BBM and so does my friend from out of town who I saw the movie with today. But she is staying at my other friend's house who "doesn't want to watch two hours of gay porn" so im not thinking im going to be able to see it with them. Sometimes its really annoying living where I do because most of the people I know refuse to see it.

I think the person who said that deserves a swift kick in the ass, and I'm totally not kidding.

That movie is ANYTHING but porn. For God's sake, they have sex once, they're almost fully clothed, and it's just really not about the sex.

I'm sorry. That makes me really, really angry.
