Not raelly tearful,just kinda like "woah" after we left 'cause my sister has been there my whole life even when my brother left. I fought a lot more with her than my brother, but I guess we were closer.

I used to play flute, and I know what a bad one sounds like. My sympathies.

Ellie, I'm working on it. It's a killer so far. How many research projects can one class assign at a time?

Way, way too many.

Emcee, can't believe how nasty that whole thing is getting. Even *I* started fighting, which I hate to do. But that Idina fan really, really got on my nerves. I think it was the lofty, superior tone. And how unbelievable is it that someone would suggest that there's something odd about a fan posting about the performers and shows she likes?

I guess the problem isn't totally out of left-field, because I'm aware that I often DO respond strongly on emotional instinct, but the trouble is also being dug from some archive of past issue. And perhaps he's just insinuating that I'm odd, not that what I do as a fan is odd. You know, that fans are odd. *shrug*

I prefer not to think about it. Today was fun. This shouldn't ruin it.

Theatrebabe, there were a bunch of people criticizing Adam for his comments in the NY Times today (but maybe you saw that already). The person I was talking about took that as an opportunity to go on and on about how much better Idina was than Adam. I didn't like it. However, I'm going to forget about that thread now.

Emcee, thanks for the link - I'm glad you had such a good time, and that Raul made such a great fundraising speech. Nia, I second the "good for your school."

He (and admittedly, the fluff that is that show) has such an uncanny ability to make me smile like I rarely ever otherwise do. It's such an escape - I know that's bad, but it was nice, since I start school Tuesday.

Yeah, but I'm nervous. I mean... wow. It's unnerving to think about. I'll be so close to those people who lost everything, and here I am... I don't feel like I deserve my life.

There's no guarantee that this will happen, but it's likely. I might help out with a nearby church that's going to shelter them if my homework schedule permits.

Nia, of course you deserve your life. We all do. But it really puts any petty personal issues or board arguments into perspective, doesn't it?
