It was a film back in the early 90's. I was in charge of rerecording dialog. He had quite a bit of recording to do, but was very cooperative about it. When he left the studio to get a Coke or something, he'd ask everyone, including the guys in the back, if he could get anything for them. He was just sweet, despite that bad boy reputation. One funny thing I remember, late one day as we were sort of fumfering around trying to finish up some narration, is him saying "A hundred dollars to the first person to press record."

"I live on the south shore - what about you? "
i'm on the north shore. oh well, that's still pretty ironic! and that's awesome that you got to work with johnny depp.

Hi ballerina - glad to see you made it back. How are you?
So, Ponine, I guess we aren't the same person after all. The north shore is ritzier, of course, but I like it here in the down and dirty south.
Ellie, I think Johnny deserves every bit of the success he's gotten. I've heard stories that he arrives places without any money because he's handed it all out to homeless people on the way.

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. A phenominal actor, and a phenominal person. Who could ask for anything more?

Ellie, are you Mormon now? I'm not speaking to you any longer, if you are... *twitch* Bad camp memories.
It's not actually a good idea to give money to homeless people because many will buy drugs with it, but the thought is very sweet. Also on that note, I read an interview once in which he made a passing mention of playing barbies with his daughter.

I'm not Mormon, so it'll have to be one husband at a time I'm afraid. Although I am a Catholic, which means only one ever, but meh...I'm a naughty girl.
I'll save the best for last, though...

Whoops! I didn't mean to insult your fanhood, Ellie! Sleepy Hollow was fun but bizarre.

Fanhood. Catholic.
Why did that make me smile?
Ellie, I have that exact photo of Billy hanging on my wall. It's from the Rolling Stone centerfold. *looks up and left* Oh, sweet Billie.
I want very much to see Sleepy Hollow, now that I've heard it's a parody and not a horror movie.
Why are Catholic girls always the naughtiest? Another of my favorite Johnny Depp movies is Benny and Joon. He recreates some wonderful silent movie bits, which I would never expect him to be able to do.
Well, I've got to go - good night, ladies.

'Night Chloe. I think I should go too - I told myself I'd only spend five minutes online...er, yeah right.
You haven't seen Sleepy Hollow, Nia? I'm shocked...you call yourself a fan. Tsk. Next you'll be telling me you haven't even heard 'American Idiot'! You should see it if you can, though - I wouldn't really class it as a parody, or a horror either...it's just a great, entertaining movie with great performances from our man Johnny and another of my faves, Christina Ricci. Plus the cinematography (?) is great...full of dark tones and great atmosphere.
Popping in!
Anyway, OFFICIAL MOVE-IN DAY TOMORROW, GUYS. I got rained on today, and I found out that Pittsburgh rain... is at least slightly acidic. I mean it when I say it tasted salty and STUNG MY EYES. IT HURT LIKE A BIZNATCH. AUGH.
Anyway, I'll update from the campus network tomorrow. YAY!
Nia, we just all bow in respect (sure thats the word ) to your thread titles and want to leave them, it is YOUR thread after all.
I have never seen Sleepy Hollow or Pirates of the Carribean, but Jonny Depp has long been one of my favorite actors- since Edward Scissorhands back when I was 11.
now there are naughty catholic girls here, oh my!
Looks like I missed most of you.
Oh well - had a nice evening seeing my buddy bwaysinger at the Fringe. yay.
I guess I'll try to go to bed soon, even though I slept til all hours of the afternoon today.
eee. I still have to tell you guys about Raul. meh, tomorrow.

Ooo Nobody mentioned this yet...
Well happy news, Adam is in Provincetown. He and Cybele made an appearance at Idina's concert Saturday night along with Taye.
oo this is nice, my first post on this thread in a while. I hope it was a good one
bye
I misread that, and thought that he was scheduled to do a show up there, or something.
... and because it's nearly four in the morning, I was about to start planning torturing my family into going up there to see him.
Oy. I need to go to bed.
Go to bed Em, I am about to actually shut off the computer myself and I need the encouragement
I think even Nard finally did.
I was in the middle of writing a response to Chita on that thread when it disappeared, I can't understand someone being mean like that for no reason. I think you are great!
Bed is about a foot away, so when I get tired enough, I'll just fall in.
Oh, he hates me because of a long history bit of things - I shall show you, one day. I'm too lazy to hunt up the thread. But he's got to act like he's four, and start up with me even when I don't do anything that he typically deems quite so vile. I'm so amused by the fact that he's acting like this to someone who's probably about half his age.
