Hey guys! How's everyone?
This is going to sound blasphemous, but are any of you afraid you're going to be all "Rented Out" by the time the movie actually opens? I'm starting to feel that way.

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
I'm only "rented out" on Saturdays.
Of course that is only minutes away
I'll be even more excited when it finally happens, although I'm avoiding most of the hype if I can.
I used to do fanfic (and I still do every now and then), but right now, I'm concentrating on my own original work. I don't know if it'll end up being a novella or a novel yet, but I'm planning for it to be fairly long.
Nah, it'll take a lot more than this to wear me out.
Penguin, how great you just got to see the trailer! There are three versions, you know, the one playing in theaters now, an "international" version with voice over, and a music video style one with the whole SOL.
I did not know that Chloe, but I want to see all three!
I'm more of a writer as well, Lari (although I act, take drama classes and teach drama)
I'm working on a play and a novella.
I wish I could link them for you, but they're all on my work computer, where I can actually watch them.
Wow, another writer - I was a lit major, if that counts for anything. Amasis is doing some serious writing too.
sure being a lit major counts! Emcee seems to try her hand at writing as well. Its like the WestEnd in the 50s at the Adam love thread. (I'll be Cassidy, hopefully without the heroin)
Well you are all certainly very creative and articulate on the board.
I'll get those links eventually!
awww, yeah - but not writing in the same sense, at all. My creative writing skills are quite horrid - though I manage to be a decent writer otherwise.
'tis early, but bump!
I'm going back to sleep.
BACK TO SLEEP? XD
I'm getting up for the day! *explores*
heeeh. I just woke up. oops!
Did you have fun last night, Em?
Oh, so so so much. I'll post about it in a few minutes, I'm dying for food.
After all the crap I've been through this week, it was almost a perfect night.
Does it get better with repeated viewings?
Sort of. Last night was definitely not the best performance I've seen them give, but it was the most fun I've had at the theatre in a LONG time.
Shall post soon.
I think it is great that you have different writting gifts Emcee. Your writting is always informative and interesting and very entertaining, there is a great deal of creativity in that!
It is really great that you had a fun time at the theatre, it is always nice to have a release at the end of a stressful week!
o, i'm glad you had fun. i can't wait to hear about it.
Thank you, penguin!
Hey everyone - I guess you're writing at the moment, Emcee? I've been thinking about the Rent clips and what a shock they were to me. That's because if I listen to a piece of music a few times, it's like a groove gets worn in my brain. After that, anything different just seems... off. (Helpful at work, otherwise a disaster.)
Anyway, this all reminds me of seeing those godawful pictures of Adam at the DRS premier. Not only was there the shock of the hair, but he looked very down or upset about something. I thought to myself, Adam's going to look like *this* in the movie??? But he's been looking great in the trailer and stills, so that's what I tell myself about the music too.
eep, actually, I'm not! I remember this whole list of things I have to get done, but then I promise promise! I have stoooories.
Gosh, the jungle boy hair!

*pops in* hey everyone!! how are you all?
ok so i just got to listen to the clips today (yes i'm a bit slow on this). Adam hm...i don't know how to really describe it..., but he didn't sound like himself. It sounded like he was a bit stiff and needed to relax a bit more in order to get into the songs. I know that it's hard to judge based on those short clips, but....I dunno. Rosario as well as everyone else sounds fantastic! I'm not crazy about the Will I? soloist, or the Gordon, but I'm sure that I'll get used to it.
I think he just sounds.... more emotional - which, for the character at that point, is okay.
I agree he doesn't sound quite like himself, which made me wonder about the speed on OSG, and that he sounds more emotional. I can imagine this working really well in the movie too.

yeah, he does sound more emotional, but that could either work for him or against him. who knows? i guess we all just have to wait and see.
Yes - wait, wait, wait! Anyway, I'm debating whether to pre-order the soundtrack CD, and maybe have to wait a few days after the actual release date, or take the chance that it will show up at stores on the 27th.
Ponine, your signature is making me want to listen to I'm With You again - it's been a while.
