::sigh::

He wrote back to me last year...all I said was like "Happy birthday. you're great." And he wrote back...I was *really* surprised....

Well yay for pleasant surprises. Adam looooooooove!

I think I'm heading over to the Nederlander tonight... I think I need a RENT fix. It'll be weird... someone else's Glory. *sigh* Perfection.

By the way, QM... wherever you are, I love your new icon. Adam looooooooove!

Emcee, Matt's in it, right? You should definitely catch it while Drew's out. *sigh* I wish I lived in the city and could just go see shows whenever I'm in the mood! I'm moving to nyc the second I get out of college.

That's why I'm going. I have a friend who loves Matt. Basically, Matt is her "Adam." She found out he was back, and I haven't seen the show in over a year... I've been waiting until the stunt-casting was quieted. Definitely don't want to see Drew.

*whines*
But Glory! I just want Adam to sing it forever and ever.

Aaaaah I'm jealous. They should have a lottery for free or cheap plane tickets as well as broadway shows. That would make me happy. Actually, I don't even like the lottery for shows, I miss the camping out for Rent tickets. Whatever. I just wanna go to New York and see Rent again! Haven't seen it in such a long time... I expect a review Emcee Adam looooooooove!

Oooh, have fun Emcee!! And definitely review it!

Matt rocks- I saw him twice as Mark, and he was SO good! And if Jeremy is in for Roger, expect a good show!

haha, I don't know how much a review I can write for RENT... since my view of it is so subjective, but I'll post something.

Back to the topic of Adam and Fiyero for 2 seconds...I have a story.
A friend of mine has only seen 2 Broadway shows in her life: AIDA and WICKED. She said to me "Doesn't the guy who plays Fiyero sound just like the guy who plays Radames? Are they the same person"?? Then I went on to rant how Adam shouldn't play Fiyero...

I love you you're shamelessly plugging Civilian, Emcee...hehe.

Gah, I am never going away for a night again.

TOURING?! YAY! PLEASE, Adam, come to Ohioooooo. It's boring as hell but I would die to see him.

How did you like Jeremy, Emcee? I hate his Roger with a passion, personally. Awful voice and one-dimensional acting.

Adam's got bad technique? Adam looooooooove! I would hate for him to be unemployable in five years because he damaged his voice too much. Why didn't the AIDA producers get that boy to some voice lessons?

I JUST GOT CIVILIAN IN THE MAIL!!! Sorry, but I'm pretty excited! I'm putting it on now. Of course I have a midterm tomorrow that I haven't studied for...I don't care, though!

'I would hate for him to be unemployable in five years because he damaged his voice too much. Why didn't the AIDA producers get that boy to some voice lessons? '

I thought he did get some coaching, but he's been singing the way he has for so long that it's hard to break the habbit (I might be wrong though.) Personally, I think he'll be fine. He has a very unique voice that seems to withstand whatever Adam can do to it. Don't worry, he is FAR from being unemployable Adam looooooooove!

~worrywart mode~

Are you sure? I don't know squat about singing. If you can tell that he's doing something wrong, doesn't that mean it's serious? And how does his voice type (????) affect technique? Are there different ways to take care of your voice for different people? And you said that it takes a while to show...

Adam looooooooove!

On a lighter note, where does that rumor about touring come from? Is it just in Florida?

YAY ELPHIE!!! Do you adore it? *proud of her shameless plugging*
I put the link in my AIM profile, too. I'll tell anyone who might listen how great the CD is. I have the flyers all over my dorm. I want this to be successful, and I want everyone to love the Adam. Crazy? No, loyal. Adam looooooooove!
<333333333 CIVILIAN!

RENT: tonight, kids... don't get too excited, lol!! Jeremy: I don't mind him. He did Radames on the tour, so he's alright in my book... at least now I know he can *kind of* fill those shoes.

Adam's technique: there's an anecdote out there about him saying he used to "beat the sh*t" out of his voice or something. He has said that he's pretty careful with it in terms of what he can and can't eat before singing, etc... whatever he's doing, he seems to be fine!

A good Radames is not ALWAYS a good Roger... His Another Day was good and Your Eyes was great, I'll give him that. I Should Tell You almost redeemed him for me, his chemistry with Krystal was completely dead-on. But don't let my bias ruin it for you. Adam looooooooove! Have a good time.

I know what you mean about eating carefully and all, but there's more to proper technique than that, isn't there?

Tonight, Emcee?? Awesome! I really like Jeremy. The one Roger I didn't like was Manley Pope.

As for the whole technique issue, whatever it actually is, it works. I love his voice.

Yeah, I know. And I know that no one is ever going to match up to Adam. BUT, I also know that (especially after Sunday - other people up there have never bothered me before) I need to go into this with an open mind and aware of my love for the SHOW, otherwise I'm going to wind up wanting to shoot myself and wanting Sunday night back. The last Roger I saw was Sebastian, and he did nothing for me, so almost anything's better than that. Adam looooooooove!

And yeah, there's more to good technique than that, but... well, I don't know anything, but he's been singing since he was a kid (and he sounded exactly the same!). He's got to be doing something right, no?

My Civilian thoughts: I love it!!!
Book of Endings is my favorite song, like most people on this board who have already heard it. I also like I'm With You a lot. The whole cd in general has a similar sound to Model Prisoner. I think I might like Civilian a little better, though.

Okay. I am not qualified to classify Adam's voice and 'diagnose' any possible voice problems. I was simply saying that he started out as a rock singer. This is a huge exageration of the situation but I'll try to explain. The way guys sing for bands is all well and good, when gigs are few and far between. However, when you bring technique to Broadway and use it 7 or 8 times a week for 2 hours and 30 minutes, it's not good. He's gotten much better at singing correctly over the years, but is still not using ideal technique. He's doing plenty of things right but it still could be better. It's not enough to put him out of work anytime soon I promise Adam looooooooove!

lol. Just to add, at Seth's Chatterbox back during Cabaret he talked about how when he was singing with a band, he'd sing for a couple of hours, then the next gig was like three, four weeks later, and how different that was from performing 6 days a week. I know he's talked before about a period of adjustment, but I'd expect that, I guess.

4 days!! Eeek- WAY too long!..lol...But at least we all have at least one cd that he sings on-- I don't think I would ever get tired of his voice.

And then there's the HAIR video...
