Okay, so that's official...
Can we get back to Adam now?
hi! WHo wants to write an economics paper for me? please!!!!!! Just kidding even though i was kind of serrious. So back to adam and anythng related to him. How do you think the lotto for rent is going to be next sunday? my friend is coming up from virigina and she wants to see it. Umm more about adam, i love him and now my stepfather is a fan as well! He loves adams voice! ok end of pretty much useless post.
"Riot starting thread"
I can't believe how caught up I got in a story about a show and performer I've never seen. Talk about drama!
So back to Adam. I haven't seen any of his TV appearances when he was promoting Rent and Aida. How was he on those? I can't help feeling that his own music means so much to him that it made him more nervous than he otherwise would have been.

I saw a snippet of one of the AIDA promo things... I can't even remember which show it was on, but he was wearing all black. It's that one that you can pretty easily find a lot of screencaps of. The three of them were on, and Adam and Heather sang Written in the Stars. He seemed really candid and comfortable, but he wasn't really out there on his own.
I've seen some of the shows when he was promoting aida. He seemed comfortable and had a lot of fun with Heather and sherie. He joked a lot! I agree with emcee and think that he was more nervous bacause it was his own music and he was alone, not with other people to back him up n questions.
As I was waking up this morning I thought I heard music, and than all of a sudden I hear Adam and Heather singing "Written in the Stars" I was tired and thought I was just dreaming it (even though I was awake) when I saw that he (and her) were on the TV. It turned out to be a promo for her apperance on GMA.
I thought that I had perhaps missed an unannounced tv appearance.
Well, maybe this is all good practice for what could be a lot more appearances after the Rent movie comes out.
The Treasure Island deal has gone through at the last minute. I posted a link on the Anthony Rapp thread. The article (which is from a different newspaper than the first downer one) says that the production will pay for the facilities, but it's a lower amount than was mentioned before. It also cites a couple of instances where this Hall guy seems to be trying to bilk the city out of public funds himself, for a new car and a big holiday party. Don't you love politics?
I'm glad there won't be a major disruption in the pre-production process, especially since it's apparently out of the question to shoot the whole movie in NYC. I kind of like the idea of them all holed up together on that island - kind of like camp, as Adam said.
ETA: Jacob, did you see Heather today? I slept in and haven't seen anything about it.

I wasn't able to see her.
Camp. *giggles*
I want to go!
Okay, maturity.
I saw Heather - she sang "You've Got a Friend" (James Taylor, I think?). Great, as always.

I try. :-P
Oh, wait. I *do* get to go to that camp.
Okay, I promise I'll keep quiet.
Maybe you'll be on the Brooklyn Bridge with them. (I wonder what they'll shoot there.)
I think "You've Got a Friend" was written by Carole King but a big hit for James Taylor. Was Heather interviewed? This was something to do with tsunami relief efforts, wasn't it?
No interview - they just asked what charity she was singing for... I can't remember the name.
But yeah, it was for the tsunami relief.
YAY BROOKLYN BRIDGE! Okay, this is FAR off. I need to get a grip.

Gah, I missed Heather on GMA! Stupid finals... I've been studying all day.
The Brooklyn Bridge is really cool. I've actually never been anywhere near it, but I've seen pictures. I wonder which scene(s) are going to be filmed there?
Yeah, what she sang for was called the Relief Effort I think. Not really an interview, but the newslady introduced her along with her "grammy-winning" titles and Heather started to reamble a little about the tsunami, but then she sang and was amazing! I love her cd! Did anyone see Adam And Heather caressing eachother in that Elaborate Lives clip? Woo! ..and I see Adam didn't cover up the tattoo?
I can't believe I missed her, too!! I've been studying and doing homework all day
Anyway, happy 16000!!
::takes on motherly tone:: Wherever you end up, be sure to take a backpack or something like that, with extra clothes in case it's nastily cold, and water and snacks (I know, I know, but you might actually get hungry). And this IS really still far away, what am I doing?
You guys on the "New Marriage" thread must be setting some kind of record for double entendres!
Who knew personal electronic equipment could ever house so much double entendre? :-P
CR and I were very, VERY bored.
And yeah... I like to bring a backpack or something when I travel around the city... and I usually *do* get hungry, so I'm always equipped. We can plan for three months. Oh dear... what shall I wear?!?! *gasp*
Emcee- You should make an "I love Adam" t-shirt
More like two, maybe two and a half months. (But who's counting?) What to wear. This could take weeks, since it only involves finding something very attractive and chic, yet extremely comfortable.
jacob - I'm so far ahead of you. Been there, done that. I kind of want this to be as nonfangirly as I can make it, I think. I just want to get to spend a little bit of time with them, and have it be semi-normal. Maybe *gasp* strike up a conversation... I can never do that. I'm too shy.
I might have to take a special shopping trip for this one! I look like I'm about 12 if I don't put in some effort.... this will be interesting. I'll probably be enlisting some of your help, because I'm a nerd.
Etheb will be there to help you get into a conversation. She seems to be less shy than you, at least when it comes to getting hugs for other people. (And by the way, I take it she had a lot to do with setting this up... brava to Etheb!) Not fangirly sounds right to me, people in the middle of working don't want to deal with that.
She's a lot less shy than I am, and I owe her a lot for several really wonderful things.
Hugs, meetings in Bloomingdales, you know.
I'm usually not fangirly (with a few minor exceptions) because I'm so shy. I guess it's more the nature of the situation... a stagedoor is inherently fangirling, no matter how well-behaved you are. That's why I'm selfish and like meeting Adam when no one else is around. :-P - and that's why Tower is my favourite "encounter."
YAY!
I haven't had time to visit this thread lately, so I'm catching up now. Emcee, that's so cool that you'll get to visit the set in March! How did you get that wonderful opportunity? You definitely should try to strike up a conversation with Adam if you have the chance!
My friend has some connections through her family. I don't know if I can really say.
But yeah.... I'll probably do a bit of "I... I... I I I um... um..." before I can speak, but I'm *going* to make it happen.
