"WHAT was that in that man's cabinet???"

The cabinet or the chest?

In the cabinet - A diagram of the neighborhood and photos of all of the inhabitants of Wisteria Lane. The guy with the dog (name escapes me) is up to something. May be a detective. Not sure.

In the chest - Don't know yet. It was buried under the swimming pool. He dug it up after his wife (the narrator) committed suicide.

re: Desperate Housewives

I am trying to guess what's in the toy chest. The way he wrapped it (very carefully in plastic) makes me think it's something important like documents. Something that he might need later on for some reason. The only other big clue that I caught was that the boy had heard the sound of the digging when he was really young. So it was buried in their pool several years earlier. I think the old lady who is in everybody's business wrote the letter. And the plumber is in town because of something completely different than the suicide (or its cause). I think he's investigating something entirely different that we have yet to notice.

The "wives" were on Oprah this week. I think Oprah slipped and gave it away that Bree has a secret. I don't think the show has alluded to any secrets for her character yet, other than she's insanely "perfect."

Anyone else have guesses about what's coming up?

re: Desperate Housewives

I don't think they really need to give anything away for Bree. You know she's gotta crack. It's like Stepford gone wrong. I'm pissed, I missed last weeks episode. Hope I can catch up!

re: Desperate Housewives

I freaking love this show.

Lots of cool speculation/spoilers etc. (what's in the trunk, what's with Mary Alice's children-of-the-corn kid, what does Mike really do for a living, what's Bree's secret, etcetc) on www.televisionwithoutpity.com.

New show tonight!

That was a great line...I did a spit take!

re: Desperate Housewives

brilliant line...totally unexpected, and Marcia Cross's delivery was perfect.

Now, I was under the impression that the audio-tape Bree stole from the Scrubs-Lawyer-therapist's office had her husband's name on the side and Mary Alice's on the front....but someone else thought it was two separate tapes. Anyone have a take on that?

re: Desperate Housewives

separate tapes--she started to take her husbands, but took Mary Alice's instead.

She already has earned an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

re: Desperate Housewives

Ah. I thought it was the same one and went on my own tangent about how Mary Alice was the subject matter of Rex's tape--like an affair or something.

Yep, Marcia is incredible...I saw her at the Globe in San Diego doing Two Gents 12 or 13 years ago. She also took a few years away from acting and got her masters in psych. Very impressive actor.

So, the clock is ticking for Carlos to discover the affair....any estimates for when/how?

"If I was having sex with her, I'd cry too."

Oh, man. Yes, I fell out of my bed, laughing. It was the last think I expected her to say, becasue of course she still seemed like she was trying to pretend no one knew. Ugh... hillarious.

Ooo... and that little girl has the most EVIL galre! I think she's gonna tell.

And Jesse in his gym clothes... HOT!

re: Desperate Housewives

Seriously. Mmmmmm, Miguel:)

Too bad they digitized out his naughty bits when he flew out the window last week.

I wouldn't even mind some shirtless Gay Matt action! Bring on ALL the DH boytoys...

re: Desperate Housewives

Is there any place online where I can find the past episodes that I missed!?!?!

I love this show, and Marcia Cross is wonderful not to mention my mother to a tee.

You'd think if the one who is banging the gardener would be more careful about the open windows in the door. After all, there are people who are around during the day besides the littler girl who is blackmailing her now.

I got my mother hooked on the show last night. I really didn't want to start a new show this season but now I'm obsessed with it.

re: Desperate Housewives

My guess is that Mary Alice might have been in the witness relocation program, which is why the other girls didn't know her "real name".....

re: Desperate Housewives

My theory is that the boy of the woman that commit suicide killed someone and they buried the body under the swimming pool and someone found out.. that is why the dad is drugging the kid, and maybe Mary took the blame or something happened so she committ suicide because someone found out.. something like that

re: Desperate Housewives

Not to mention the whole Mike-secret agent-weirdness which wasn't touched on this week....he's got to be connected to the Mary Alice thing somehow, I think?
