re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

I love his website! (I would love it even more if he would update it once in awhile....) I never tire of looking at all his boxes, he's very creative. I shall have to remember to tell him that, WHEN I MEET HIM WHEN I SEE SWEET CHARITY IN AUGUST. (I'm a little bit excited. Just a little.)

(+ bumping the Denis love!!)

I LOVE him! I first got exposed to him from the Cabaret CD, and knew he was special from just hearing that him in the 1 song!

I hope he reconsiders about retiring from Musicals!

And, about his webpage, you know you love that 404 banner. *winks at lamentingenvelope*
I get lost, unless, of course, I'm getting found.

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

I do love that 404 banner... *points to avatar* ... and that Cabaret cast recording... *point to CD player, even though none of you can see it. You shall just have to trust that I'm listening to it right now.*

I love Denis! Such a nice and talented man!

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

Denis O'Hare is one of my favorite actors.
I have talked to him a few times and each time he was sweeter then the time before.
He is talented, kind and an interesting person.
I hope to see him in many more shows on Broadway after Sweet Charity.
He is great in Sweet Charity, but "Take Me Out" was one of the most heart warming and incredible things I have ever seen.
Denis is a treasure.
And Broadway is lucky to have him.

I completely agree with you, Corine! He's one of Broadway's BEST.

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

as someone who DOESN'T live in nyc, i'm SO GLAD i got to see DENNY as MASON in TAKE ME OUT. (actually, it's the only b'way show i've seen TWICE.) he was WONDERFUL!!
RIP glebby <3

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

TWICE?! What I wouldn't give to see it once... it's one of my favorite plays, plus the Denis factor... I had a chance to see it in D.C. with my dad, but didn't jump at it because A. no Denny and B. my dad didn't think it was appropriate (shouldn't have told him there was nudity involved... darnit.)

Ah well. Hopefully if there's a movie version he'll reprise his role...

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

"DENNY" ?!?!?!?

'Okay, Denis, let’s talk baseball.

“I like it. I don’t watch it. I’m definitely not a fan. But you know, if I had to pick a team, it would be the Tigers.”

Again like a little boy: “I used to like Mark ‘The Bird’ Fydrich”––an ungainly hard-throwing wacko who used to stand on the pitcher’s mound talking to birds, and to pebbles. “And I liked Denny McLain”––the last 30-game winner, but one of society’s misfits––“because he had my name, Denny.”'

That's where I got Denny from, at least.

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

We could get someone to choreography the baseball scenes in the style of Bob Fosse... someone to write a stripper song ('Oh / we're taking our clothes off / look at our hot bods / ooooh yess')... and of course we'll turn Mason's monologues into rousing tap numbers!

(Only about 9,450 more posts till we overtake the Greg Jbara thread!)

Bring in the swiffer wet jets and the swishy skirts!

((Long story...))

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

HAHA YES.

[MASON is left alone, sad and terribly adorable.]

MASON
*sigh*

RANDOM PEOPLE WITH SWIFFER WET JETS
[entering in swishy skirts]
Do you need a hug, Mason?
[they hug him]

MASON
I just keep thinking... there's gotta be something better than this...

[cue music]

MASON
I'm gonna be... a hat check girl!!

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

Thank you, thank you. *takes a bow*

Uhm...

I fully intend to tell Denis O'Hare about this thread. When I meet him. In August. WHEN I SEE SWEET CHARITY.

I'll add it to the list of things I have to tell/ask him, which also include:

- I like your website.
- My friend thinks your boyfriend has nice arms
- I saw you on an episode of Law and Order once and it was awesome.
- Can I lick you?

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

Very good questions. I especially like that last one.

Now that we've scared everyone off, I don't think there's any chance of us overtaking the Greg Jbara thread...
I get lost, unless, of course, I'm getting found.

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

Some day somebody's gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don't you know?
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day

WE CAN DO IT!!

Spread the Denis love, people!!

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

*gasp*

One of the most interesting days of my life was the day I spent with Garden State and Harold and Kumar both in my 2 disc DVD player, going back and forth between the two. Doogie - Denis - Doogie - Denis... and then I watched all the bonus features with the two of them. I felt like such a dork... but a happy dork.

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

I did that one time. Well, I had the Harold and Kumar tape because Blockbuster was out of DVDs...

So, Denis O'Hare fans- he should have a webcam, right?
I get lost, unless, of course, I'm getting found.

re: The Official Denis O'Hare Lurve Thread

DEFINITELY. Haha. Not *everyday*, just a few times a week...

*cough*

And he could like... take his shirt off... or something...

*coughcoughcough*

That would be so cool. Doubt it'll happen, but it would be so awesome. Even if he didn't take off his shirt.

I'll have to add it to the list of things I have to mention to him.

The webcam, not taking his shirt off, though I might mention that too.
