I thought Assassins was a bit advanced for a high school production but he went to a hard-to-get-into perf arts school in CA where they do the more difficult shows. I'd love to see that video! I wonder what his southern accent is like?

I was taken aback when I read that Matt was in Assassins. It's gotta be hard for him being so hot that I only think of him as playing the hot guy, ya know. If he could play Booth, I wonder what other roles he could do?

Booth was quite the ladies man, though. After his death they pulled pictures of five different women (one of them his fiance) from his pockets. He was quite the ladies man. Actors, you know.


I would love to see Matt in Assassins. Is he confirmed for Tarzan yet? Cause I would love to see him in a loin cloth too.

I don't think he's doing Tarzan. I was told that his next project should be announced very soon. I think it's a musical and the rest of the cast has already been announced.

Did you guys read Denis' Q&A on broadway.com a while back? I got quite sad when he said that he's giving up on doing musicals. I told him he couldn't do that to his fans and he said that you're not always in control of your career. I told him that he was b/c he's so brilliant.

He was supposed to be Andre in DRS but took the role in SC instead. It would've been so cool if he were in DRS. Maybe he can take over the role of Freddy one day? That'll be a new side of Denis, eh?

He's got such a great, unique voice it is a shame he won't be doing musicals anymore. However it's not like he needs his singing voice to carry him! I can't wait to see what plays he tackles. If Frank McGuinness's 'The Bird Sanctuary' ever makes it Broadway, he would be perfect for Robert. Absolutely perfect.

I love the raspiness in his voice. It's hard to hear him over Michele Pawk on "tomorrow belongs to me" but I do love that song. And he's so powerful on "I am going to the Lordy". Denis needs tough gritty musicals to work on, I don't want him to quit.

As much as I love the idea of Denis playing the lead in a musical I think he's way too young to play Albin. And I hated La Cage! My adoration for Gary and Gavin couldn't get me back into the Marquis even if they begged me themselves(well, maybe if Gavin begged me .

In a few years, maybe, Albin for Denny. He said he auditioned for it and did Angry!DragQueen (paraphrasing a bit there...) which I think is just what that production needed. Les Cagelles were AMAZING, though. And Daniel Davis...!! But that's another rant for another day (and another thread.)

When I get around to writing 'Take Me Out: The Musical' he can reprise his role there. Teehee.

Ooh, and be sure to give a FULL report upon your return, hypertruffle... if you stagedoor (can I use that as a verb?), warn him of my triumphant coming on August 12th. Got my tickets in the mail yesterday... so... excited!!!

Oh, Les Cagelles were fabulous! And I didn't see DD, I saw Robert Goulet. I would've been plenty happy if it was 2 and a half hours of Les Cagelles and Gavin & Gary singing a few tunes.

I will crap my pants if/when there's a TMO musical! I will lose my freakin' mind!

I forgot about that Miscast concert thing. I taped that segment off of NY1 and watch it sometimes. Denis looked like he was having so much fun, which goes against him saying that he doesn't allow himself to feel joy. Do you have the entire performance?
