I am just back from the SWEET CHARITY CD signing. I went specifically to see Denis and to casusually mention that I would be happy to give him and Hugo long, wet head-to-toe tounge baths if they so desired.
But he wasn't there.
Snif.
Christina and Paul Schoeffler were both very nice and did the smile-and-sign thing. Janine LaManna, Kyra DaCosta and Rhett George acted like they couldn't be bothered, just talked amongst themselves while signing and never looked up.

Aww! That sucks.
I didn't get to meet Christina because I saw a matinee show and apparently she falls asleep like, right afterwards. Because it was my birthday, the stage door guy let me go backstage and gave me a tour. That's where I met Denis and where he fixed my mom's camera after standing with his arm around me.(The flash wasn't on.) *sigh*

I did in fact know that, Sumofallthings... it's appropriate because he does play the clarinet. He does actually play the clarinet, as well as a few other instruments...

I only freakin ADORE the man. He's one of the few I'll make an effort to see in anything. He's also one of the few I've gushed over like a fool at the stage door. Couldn't be friendlier or more down to earth though. I practically morphed myself into his characterization of Charles Guiteau all last summer. Oh lord, now I wanna see Sweet Charity again! And I'd do anything to relive Take Me Out or to actually see him as Ernst in Cabaret. Ahhhh god that must have been brilliant. And of course, because it's me, I have a bit of a crush. Ok, a ridiculously huge one.

Have you seen his very cool website? I love the boxes he creates for his friends. He's a very expressive, very creative individual who deserves all the success he can get a hold of!
