Sam said something that was hardly even funny... we were talking about how we thought the waiter had a crush on him or something, and Sam said something along the lines of "call me" and for some reason it made me laugh hard enough for the soda to come out of my nose. And it really wasn't even laugh worthy. But I had come close to that happening like 2 other times, so it was just inevitable. lol
lol. ok. I know, I laugh at the weirdes things too. Like yesterday, i was playing cards with my friend and the cards had animals on it. my friend was talking about how she had seen some of theose animals before and I asked where and she said and I quote: "at a drive-thru zoo." I was laughing for a long time before I said "You mean a safari?" and she said "yeah". It was hilarious. then I had my own stupid moment. I was talking about being born in England and how people find it amazing being from England "like it is a foreign country." That was stupid. also, writing on a test, "the great pyramids of China" instead of Egypt. God, I do stupid things sometimes. lol.
Oh, how I love the great pyramids of china... tee hee.
I just ordered the Carols for a Cure CD! Excited!

I've ordered nothing! LOL...
But, hopefully, my aunt ordered some good Broadway stuff for my early Christmas presents. She's coming on Saturday with them...
...of course, I can't open them...
I think she might get me Spamalot. I just have this instinct. Either that, or Wicked.

I don't buy anything...my sis and I collect our money for next summer. 'nuff said!
Lol...I love zis expression.
Not much to add...(Edit:I have to stop saying that and then writing a huge review, its not my fault, its sweeney!)
About half way through waiting on the Odd Couple line I realized I had met the tai bo girls before at Little Women they sat next to me (sneaking up to my row during the second act and sang incessantly in a nasal little head voice during intermission) and then at the stagedoor they cryed cause sutton wasn't there...And they proved just as much fun this time declaring that The Light in the Piazza was a terrible show and that they were friends with Mark Kudish...yes people like this do exist, I should have asked how they felt about Idina...
Sweeney was unbelievable...I was skeptical at first due to the instruments, but they were never particularly distracting and worked extremely well when the characters were distressed...
Patty Lupone was amazing, she really brought a sexiness to Mrs. Lovett that Angela Lansbury didn't(at least in the video of Sweeney)...I never thought I'd see Patty Lupone, but I certainly never thought I'd see SO much of patty Lupone, man they crammed her in a short skirt..and then during the second act her nunga nugnas made an apprearence, with some serious cleavage...And Patty playing the Tuba and triangles defies words...
Lauren Molina as Johanna was amazing, sooo much funnier then I had expected, amazingly funny during "Kiss me"...
Anthony was sweet, quite funny also, great voice, they had his and her matching cellos which I liked...
Tobias was a bit old, which was interesting for the part, a bit odd, during "No One's Gonna Harm you" it almost seemed more of a romantic sentiment then a familial sentiment, once again wonderful voice
Alexander Gemignani!!!..He payed the beedle didn't stand out too much but I loved him from the Assassins Cast recording, so seeing him made me a happy girl...
Cerveris was EVERYTHING anyone could want in a Sweeney, his voice was much better than I thought it would be based off Cast recordings, perfction
All of Sweeney was much funnier then I had expected...and then there were moments that were just unbelievably intense and gave you chills...Everyone was amazing at the stagedoor and so grateful, Cerveris made a little video for my brother which I might try to upload...and seriously I didn't review everyone in it as this is long enough, but they were all up their singing acting playing the instruments, and changing the sets around...phenomenal...
In summation, Sweeney Todd was just okay, It could have used a beach ball one would think they'd have at least one left over from Good Vibrations...
um...Killed alot of time, many umbrlla fights, some minor vandalism, Sam offended the guy running the Toys R Us ferris wheel, Kerrie and sam managed to scare off Darth vader...yes thats right they scared away the dark lord(wait or is that from LOTR)...Anyway, between the two of them I could go without hearing an Ewan Mcgreggor quote for awhile
The waiter at Olive Garden was hot for Sam and I do believe that was the acutal impetus for the infamous soda out of the nose incident, at least she was done with her fettuci by then!
Odd Couple...standing room wasn't that uncomfortable, I'd do it again(not for Odd Couple but in general)...Odd Couple was quite good, funny, but not hysterical...my first play, I'm ashamed to admit I missed music...Nathan Lane was perfect, Matthew carried the part I liked him...mostly it was just impressive seeing the two of them on the stage...I really enjoyed Brad Garret wished he had a bigger role...
Stage door, I had bought a poster but couldn't get it signed as it would have just melted if I had taken it out...Saved my playbill from the torrential rains though and got matthew and Nathan...Stage door guy attempted to convince us that Brad Garret had already left, walked right in front of us supposedly, the man is like 7ft tall what was he disguised as a giraffe?!?!
Then off to the DRS stagedoor cause we're nuts, met Liz!! The captains have met...the heavens sang(well they dripped at least) and God resigned his post and left us in charge of humanity!!
T'was loverly meeting Greg again, Sam of course upon meeting Gregory Jbara asked him about working with tom selleck...must work on that boys stagedoor etiquette...I still don't have any signatures from the DRS cast including Greg, cause I'm awesome like that...
Survived my second subway trip, still have no idea how to use it though!!
My train was delayed and didn't get home until 2...4 essays due next week woo!

2 questions:
1. Did Greg bring Norbert after the Shiffhausen number?
2. Did you know that on this webpage there is a "video previews" under the "west end shows" on the left where you can find a little video from each show...I am watching DRS now.
annie: I had no idea what you meant at first. When you said "under west end shows" I thought you meant click on that and it would show video previews. i was confused. Then I saw it and wow. Just saw DRS. Love it! new video clip that I want to watch every night now. Long one too. and they showed Greg carrying Norbert. lol. and part of the balcony scene (at least where they turned with sunglasses. lol)
Thanks Annie!
ok, I saw Raul in the Chitty Bang video preview and I must admitt, he has a great voice and he looks sort of cute (but that cupcake picture still scares me!). So, anyone want to see Chitty with me during Thanksgiving break, if they are going to be around?

Great reviews guys, sounds like you had a great day! Glad you liked Sweeney and Odd Couple, I'm going Oct 29th to Sweeney and Dec 22 to Odd Couple, excited for both, particularly instruments. Very excited b/c I haven't heard a bad comment about instrument playing, but we shall see, course I'm the final judge. And yaay for a captains reunion---errr...union, since this was the first...
Ooh and yaay for the Olive Garden, guess I already turned Kerrie into an OG obsessee after 2 times, god I love it there. Was it extra pasta day again? Wish we coulda taken advantage of that...
Well, went to Palace theatre in Conn to see Miss Saigon...looved it. I had seen the show at Westchester Dinner Theatre where I fell in love w/ it and cried hysterically, but this was the first time I saw an actual stage/set everything production and it was AMAZING. They used a screen to show the helicopter and car and such and it was really effective and well done, cast was amazing. Ma and I cried again, though not bawling(first time we saw it we were crying so hard we couldn't talk only waahs came out so we waited a bit before we left to calm down). For anyone who hasn't seen it and gets a chance to, go see this show, it's amazing...though quite depressing. Kerrie if you ever make it to Miss Saigon, you'll love it, but in your case...bring about 3 tissue boxes.
So leaving for the Joe's Pub concert in about 20 minutes. Aww Julie, wish you could have gone. Hopefully I'll make friends there. Of course will report back on Sara. Hope everyone's having/had a good day! Will post much later.
ok, so I have to write a monologue as a famous actress and I chose Julie Andrews. And since my hair is so short, I have decided that during the monologue, I will slick back my hair with moose, gel, or grease and pretend to get ready for Victor/Victoria. So, what am I watching right now, to get ideas? You got it! my dvd of Victor/Victoria WITH Greg Jbara! yay! more greg tonight!
Talia (tmyres77) will be back on here soon. She just moved to Tulsa and now has a puppy called Baliey! and she looks adorable!
got to go and write now. see ya!
