Well I think today officially constitutes a good day...pretty sure I did well on my psych test and found out w/ some extra credit on my philosophy/processes of thinking midterm...I got a 130 out of 100.

And now off to....e...nap. LOL. Check in one more time before I gotta leave and then I'm off.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Hello my lovelies! Tonight is going to be one of the best nights in a long time. My best friend, Anthony, who I haven't seen in 3 months, is flying in at 7:30. He's staying for 5 days. Seeing him is going to be the most exciting thing ever. And then the midnight screening of Rent.

I'm taking Anthony to DRS tomorrow night! I'm excited for him to see it and meet Greg and stuff. YAY. re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Heh Kerrie, you're seeing your Anthony who I always mistake for Mr. Rapp, and I'm seeing Mr. Rapp tonight but not Anthony non-Rapp as we've denounced his new name to be. Have fun!! Of course I want DRS reports.

Well, leaving for an appt. in 15 minutes...then off to drive in icky weather, find parking, help friend w/ lotto, meet ppl at port authority to exchange stuff, then to symphony space for the movie.

So excuse me for adding one final....

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

(last one I swear)

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

tomorrow will be cam so I need to sleep a little...I just came home. Tuesday and Thursday is the hardest days of the week because after work I go to the English course (ehm, upper-intermediate re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!! ). Thursday is easier because I only have to survive Friday to reach weekend.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Hey all. Okay I had the most disturbing DRS dream. I was at a Sunday matinee talking to Greg before the show and suddenly he had to leave for some reason. And you know who came out to play Andre? Wayne Brady...I am so serious. I think I dreamed he was there because Amanda thought she saw him at WiW last week. Strange how the mind works no. Time to examine that manifest content Freud stlye! Too bad though I woke up before he started to speak. THAT would have been interesting.

Kerrie, what DRS show are you going to tomorrow? Kat and I will be trying the Wicked lotto around 530. Maybe we can all win ^^

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Ryan, dreaming of Wayne Brady is extremely disturbing in itself!

I have an EARLY shift at work Fri. (5-1!!) ...so hopefully I can take in a screening of Rent that afternoon. I need to go check fandango to see the times.

Good to hear you're feeling better, Dre! I didn't know hospitals asked that either.

Wow... I haven't been around in FOREVER. I've been really busy taking prep classes for SAT that is on December 3rd. I've been going to place twice a day, for two hours a session, and the rest of the time I'm not there, I"m sleeping because for some reason it makes me really tired.

Can't wait until December 4th! I leave for Florida, and though things get crazy, life is awesome down there. Though, no Broadway... We do have a few theaters close by, though, so that's cool. Okay, yeah.
Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

I know. It was sooo random. Just one of those strange dream occurances. Oh. I just saw the new Harry Potter movie and it was awesome! They really took care to cut alot of the extranous material and the flow worked very well. It is definetely the best movie in the series so far. I sure hope Rent goes well.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Going with friends to see RENT at 7:20 pm tomorrow. I am so psyched. Specially since I talked some non-theatre friends into going too.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

yeah, i thought the Harry potter movie was really well done too. a lot of dissolves that made the film seem a lot more serious.

that was a weird dream ryan. it would be interesting to see and hear Wayne Brady as Andre. actually, i can see him as a good Freddy.

oh, and since I live in Chatham, my parents get a magazince (free one) sent to us called 'Summit' which is the next town over. But it has articles about things that have been going on in neighboring towns. Well, one of the articles was about Norbert and how he lives in Millburn and everything. One of the things it said was that he won the Fred Astaire award for DRS, which I knew, but it is a dancing award, and, for one thing, Norbert doesn't exactly dance in DRS, but also, he has never taken a dance lesson in his life. Cool stuff.

oh ryan, if you want, I can send it to you for the website. I;m not sure if they have an online version of the magazine. might be nice for it.

anyway, got to go to sleep. night!

not sure if this is just me or what, but I still need a password for the norbert site (which i still remember) but the main problem is that i can;t scroll down. I mean, I can, but then it goes straight back up so that I can click any buttons. is that my computer problem or the website's?

Wow Dre, I'd love a scan or blub of that article. Funny thing about that dancing award. Norbert really doesn;t dance but he sure moves with extreme versatility. I suppose it was just a slow year for good quality dancers (and well, he originated Dancing Through Life so it seems appropriate).

Not sure about the site issue but it should not matter now. I have unlocked the site and I plan to announce on the main boards tomorrow its launch. Norbert never got back to me email wise but he knows all about the site and is excited about it. Just to be safe, I am launching as NLB Online, no official word anywhere for now. Enjoy!

Oh, the Norbert Leo Butz site is ALIVE! re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!
Yay!
Edit: it's wonderful Ryan. That's what we need, lots of norbert-stuff in one place. And I can see that Liz and Meg are already up there with their fanfotos. Cool. re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

And the Rent-mania is in my e-mail box...thank to Liz. Well there was no anuncement yet, so I am not even sure if it released in Hungary. We'll see.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Well, I've been home for a little while. Just reflecting on the movie/night and even year following the movie to an extent. Thought the movie was pretty great, definitely not perfect, of course had my qualms, but will wait to see more till most of this thread sees it.

Funny stories from the Q&A are on the main thread--go read it! Adam cracks me up...making comparisons to the Haggadah, wanting to date himself, saying that Anthony likes penises w/ his dessert(Wilson ACTUALLY fell of his chair)

Unfortunately as opposed to coming out to the lobby in a "stage door" manner they were signing things on the stage so it was difficult to get to them. Saw Anthony on his way in before the movie, got a quick hello and how are you but would have liked to see him after, oh well. Probably could have gotten to Wilson and Tracie but of course I tried to get to Adam who stayed the longest but I just missed him. Maybe it's better this way, let my one glorious moment stand alone as one moment in time.

And b/c I know he's pretty popular on this thread...woow. So when we went in I was hanging at kinda the bar area in the back of the theatre w/ a couple of friends, most of whom are big Raul fans. On the way down I thought i saw someone who looked like someone from a movie and I was like hmmm, I wonder if I'll see anyone here...so naturally as we're talking I look up and see...Raul! walking right toward us...now like I've said I think Raul is a very talented performer and I'm a big fan but not in the sense that some others are, ya know? So I start pointing b/c 2 of the girls are in w/ looove him and finally I hafta push them into position to see him and then they do. Suprised shrieks. We call our other friend upstairs who loves him and I keep encourage them to approach him or say that I will but they tell me not to. Finally I see Broadwayboobs and run over to say hi to him and chat a while, and when I came back low and behold they were chatting w/ Raul! He was sitting on the aisle so I just joined in my friends and joined the convo. Hmm, I think we mentioned TTB and how sad we are to never have seen it live(though I know he's okay w/ it I was like well you were great in what I have seen of it while rolling my eyes and he laughed), and he mentioned they may be doing a concert version of it in the next year, and how much that work is close to his heart and thinks it's one of the best things we ever done. Then of course I had to ask about the new instrument-Company production, I asked him about the instrument he might play, he says they're discussing Bobby not playing an instrument, but he has played piano and guitar. Then he asked if any of us saw Sweeney which of course made me squeal and babble about the amazingness of the instruments and I think someone else mentioned Sondhiem's subject matter and how many of our families love all bway except Sondheim and he talked about first discovering him and how much he loves him and such. Umm, I think then the lights blinked and he just said nice to meet you all...my friends say he actually said meet err chat w/ you all, but I didn't hear the correction and walked off laughing b/c we all have met him before, lol. Anyway lovely surprise to go w/ the night! He was an adorable red-blue striped shirt.

And to relate this to DRS, Annie when I was getting you into the wonderfulness of Adam I was telling you about how many of the same roles he and Norbie have played so you asked if he was going to take over Freddy and in addition to me giving you lots of other reasons not...it was funny but seeing his attempted dancing in the movie...yikes. Would certainly bring a new humor role, but no so much laughing w/ in terms of laughing at...again, he and everyone is wonderful anyway. Great night!

Hello my fellow Greg fans.

Woo finally home for Thanksgiving break and couldn't be happier. I have the day to myself tomorrow (technically today since it's almost 3 am heh) so I'm probably gonna try to catch RENT at noon (by myself, oh well) in the theater. That'll cut into webcam time, but c'est la vie! I'll catch the night one.

Proud fangirl of Greg Jbara.
