OMG. (STARING AT THE PHOTO)
OK, I NEED A KNIFE AND NOT FOR MAKING A SANDWITCH!
aw annie
At least you're going to have some *detailed* reports on John's last show (right you lucky guys who are going??)
Not that much consolation I know but it's something
It is weird seeing that picture even for me who is (sorry I have to admit it annie) kind of excited to see (well ok read) how Pyrce gets on in the role.
But I will miss Mr Lithgow
Em (who seems to have a problem with brackets today)
Welcome WagnerFan!
I live in NY, but wow do those Broadway ticket prices add up fast, so we're not all having orgies of broadway shows up here...
So many new posters on ze Greg thread, its odd how new people come in waves...
I think this calls for a GIF!
Welcome Shani and Greg. It is nice seeing so many new folks here after all this time.
I just don't know about that picture.... I'm having a hard time believing that guy could romance a lot of rich women out of their money. I guess I'll find out soon enough though!
Wow when you look up Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on IBDB they already have John's and Sherrie's departure dates listed next to their names...
Annnd, Jbara needs to be Lawrence like whoah.

he is too thin, he need an extra 10 pounds not to look old or sick!
that's true Annie, I was quite shocked at how old looking he is and kind of sickly too, I guess we'll know soon enough if he has the charm factor to pull off lawrence (it's just my personal opinion but his singing voice could charm me lol!)
*sigh* if only Greg could get a shot at playing Lawrence.

thanks for the video Liz, it was beautiful and I can listen to the song just as I turned the aim off.
it was tearful and short.
Annie, does that mean I'm allowed to take back my "message" that you said I have for Lizzie about her being a grinch or something?
Wow, indeed it is weird seeing Pryce there. But I'm still excited, Sunday I started thinking how much I am looking forward to hearing his rendition of "Love Sneaks In."
Oh and...funny: "Thanks to tall of you who post about yout time at the show and such."
To tall of you...
Welcome new members!
BTW Doesnt that pic look just a little too photoshopped. Look at Pryce's hand...doesn't seem to match his skin type. Do I see a Wicked-esque photo job?
hey all.
welcome Shani! yeah, it really sucks to be out there. I just started college last fall in Penn.(my home is NJ) and not being ablt to see a show once every two months or something like that does suck.
Yeah, i just got the email from Playbill, but a got a postcard thingy in the mail on like Sat. it had a scratch off thingy and if Jonathan's picture came up, you got the discount. But you got the discount no matter what. still cool though. I think he can do it. I mean, he's no John, but I really like him in Evita and think he'll add something new to the part.
I am finally renting Victor/Victoria (the orginal) to see if Robert Preston is as good as all you guys say he is. I really like Tony Roberts, but I'm willing to give it a try. Going to be weird not seeing Greg lurking around as "Squash."
anyway, got to go. see ya later!
"I was quite shocked at how old looking he is and kind of sickly too, I guess we'll know soon enough if he has the charm factor to pull off lawrence"
It's making me believe that the ONLY reason Muriel is attracted to that guy is so she can meet his friend.... (maybe I'm thinking of myself)
that's great mamie! so true!
I think a wig like John's would help matters greatly...
and...a face like John's...
Hmmmm, Perhaps a body and voice like John's too...
So how is cloning as a science progressing?
Well, last night it became very apparent how useful the wig is. John does appear to be losing quite a bit of hair...
i'm here.
and cat, I think he does have a wig on..unless you are making a joke and I just got it now. yeah.
watching Victor/Victoria right now....so far, i like the broadway version. funny i think, and it helps to see the reaction of the actors when the audience reacts to them. and, i mean, greg's in it too. but, it's not bad. dad's laughing.
Greg and Rachel were the only things I liked about the Broadway version. (And I liked them a lot!) In all other ways, I thought the movie superior. Particularly Robert Preston.
I've missed a lot of pages... but that picture with Norbert and Pryce is ... weird.
I was/still am a new person, I came without a wave though... I think. Wow, I'm so confused. I'm trying to do everything I need to do before going online and it's really screwing me up.
In response to Wagner_Fan (hehe, that's my last name), I live in Massachusetts, so I'm not a New Yorker either. I have been to NYC some, as I am somewhat close- but I'm also only 13 so my parents will hardly even consider taking me to a show. So in some ways, we're in the same boat. I've only seen 2 shows on Broadway, but I'll be seeing 2 more this year.
musical_nerd...
welcome to the crazyness that is known as the greg jbara love thread... part 2!! my name is Meg, just thought i would say hi, welcome and what not. you'll see me around every now and then...when i have time to actually sit down and post.
ok all i'm outtie. getting me some Jersey Boys tomorrow.
I'm not here a whole lot myself musical_nerd, but you're certainly welcome.
Just one request - would you mind adding a signature line in your settings with a name on it? You can put anything you want there - just so we don't have to keep calling you "musical_nerd". (Elphaba984 makes it hard - with my poor memory I always have to go back and try to figure out who she is...)
hey.
well, finished the movie, but have to say that I love the musical better. The last scene where Robert Preston sings in drag is quite funny, but I feel the musical version had more funny lines and moments and did a great job with portraying Paris onstage. Especially the hotel set. the hotel in the movie was ok, but having balconies between them was sort of weird. I also thought Tony Roberts had a bit more spunk and really good expressions.
watching Whose Line and paying college books online.
Well, that's why we have VARIETY! Something for everyone's taste. (Personally, I hated Tony Roberts. I thought he brought the whole thing down. My second biggest complaint was with the additional songs. I didn't think any of them were very good.)
ON THE OTHER HAND - I not only ADORE "Who's Line" - I (almost) adore anyone else who loves it too! Tonight is particularly good - a double decker with Wayne and Chip singing and dancing.)
I don't think the pic is photoshopped seeing as how they've never done that promo shot before...
