You sure Liz? I know I have seen that style on a poster before with John and Norbert.
i actually love the new songs in the musical. lol. but your right mamie, variety is good.
I love when they do Irish Drinking song with Colin third in line but has the last line. Almost every time they do it, Colin has the other three laughing. sometimes, he's the last one standing while the others are on the floor, laughing crazily.
Well I have made a decision tonight. After being attacked in a PM by a member of this board, I am going to really tone down my posting on the main boards. It is simply no fun anymore to post there. People bash stars like pinatas and I want no more part of that. I think I will keep my postings to here and only occasionally on the board when I feel a need to defend someone (which sadly may be more often than I like).

yes Ryan I think we all met this problem before. I hardly post everywhere else...

about Victor/Victoria. I absolutely love the movie verson although I saw that first but it was so perfect and this is one of those musicals I felt sorry when I saw the end credit.
advantages of the movie:
- Julie Andrews sings beautifully here on the Bway version she barely has any kinda voice and it saddened me really cause I like her so much.
- she has a chemistry with James Gardner. I love them see together just like in The Americanization of Emily and that Christmas movie (Special Night, or what was the title).
- Robert Preston is hillarious especially at the end and I love his laugh...I had the same laugh too so he always gets me in a great mood.
- I love John-Rhys Davis.
- I love The Shady Dame from Sevilla number it was so great, I don't know why they changed it to that horrible Lui Says number.
Advantages of the Bway version:
- Greg and Rachel
- I love the set, especially the hotel rooms and the way they use it in the second act (when King tries to peep Victoria)
- the second act is funnier - maybe because of the extras like Sal's men or because Norma gets more part then in the movie.
- Greg.
- I personally love the "Paris by night" number when that girl sings it who give the rose to Squash.
- Greg.
- I love live theatre
oh, and Greg. I love when he sings "it's not a crime to love each other" at the end of the show and he gets such a big ovation for that one line. And his voice is totally different from the Scoundrel-voice or when he sang O holy night! I just love him so much.
Oh and one more thing: you guys always keep telling me that John is a big sweat-er, well Michael Nouri did nothing else during the second act but sweat.
I think that was my longest post.

hi Amanda, we could not talk this morning because I had "internet connection issues" as Greg used to say it.
Morning all :) hello to everyone new! although I'm new myself I realised I never properly did a 'hello' so hi there everyone, I'm represting the Welsh Wing of Greg Jbara fans (total number 2 me and my mum!) and yeah if anyone cares to know anything about me I'm 21 and an student (of history and american and candadian studies)
So hi to all the fellow new people, and hi to everyone else.
To get back on topic, when anyone sees Johanathan Pryce as Lawrence I'll be anxious to read reports!! (Yes in case no one noticed I'm a fan and slightly bitter that my trip to NY just missed him, though I'm glad to see the orginal lawrence)

New Pryce/Butz banner ... i'd dare say not photoshopped ... similar to one with Lithgow & Butz, but Norbert has a slightly different stance in the new one.
Em ... I think Pryce will do fine as Lawrence. Never seen him on stage but have enjoyed several film roles ... Pirates, De-Lovely, Stigmata, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and Tomorrow Never Dies all come to mind.

Annie: I agree with you on the sweating thing. you can really see it when he says "I don't care if you are a man." right before the song, "Paris By Night."
Okay Barb. I found that pic I was talking about online and it differs enough to yes, be original.
Annie, are you going make a special goodbye John banner this week? Love your art^^

well ryan, I think I will..but I don't overreact the whole thing I am really depressed.
Oh this week is so damn awful for me. I am sad, yesterday my boss wasn't at the office and my other boss started arguing on something with me I knew nothing about...it turned out that he was angry with my other boss but he was not available (can you believe it???)
And today for some reason I got a headache, maybe I should drink a tea...and of course no cam today!
You're right Ryan...instead of sorry for myself I will photoshop a little...
Okay, well now it is "morning" for me. I was actually correct, I went to sleep very soon after making that post.
Of course you'll get a detailed post when I see Pryce the end of January
I got an e-mail to this Article about the director of DRS, Jack O'Brien...

I'd love to hear Kerrie sing!
btw, about the Wed. (today) / Sun. 15th schedule change, I heard that it's due to the MLK holiday, not because Sunday's John's last day.
Was there a matinee cam today? I totally forgot it was Wednesday.
I'm gonna try and apply for BWW Idol too. I don't think I'll make it too far... hahahaha.
Aren't they usually dark Mondays though? Why make the change?
Thanks for the signature line, Mary. Now I know who the famous Mary is who gets all the shout-outs from Greg!
