Anyone know the time of Raul's appearance on TV tomorrow, or the name of the show? It's CBS, right?
That might as well BE the yellow jacket. I think it's worse!
Keen, it's The Early Show, which airs from 7-9, but I have no idea when he'll actually be on within that window. And yeah, it's on CBS.
I would post the "ugh! chest hair!" pic, but it's probably getting old. I'm glad he's embraced it.
Ugh, he looks gross. Like a mafioso vacationing in Miami. Maybe he's subtly trying to make people think of The Sopranos so they'll watch that instead of The Tonys. Thankfully, I don't get HBO, so his Jedi mind tricks won't work on me.
to many different things on the morning shows tomorrow morning, grrrr.
Wonderful performance on the Early Show. I don't know if it was the interviewer (a competent one!), the acoustics or the fact that they gave him more time, but it was a much more satisfying thing to watch. And those of you who don't want "Being Alive" overperformed will be glad to hear that he sang "Marry Me a Little."

So glad I'm not the only one who was actually awake and watching that. Basically, you said everything I was going to. Probably better and more succinct, too.
I can add that he was rockin' the orange tie, though.
I much prefer Harry Smith to Kelly Ripa! I hated the idea of Raul singing out of doors but it actually worked, and the crowd behaved itself. Very nice shot of Matt Castle during the performance - he is so wonderful and he and Raul certainly have this song down to a science now. So relieved that it wasn't "Being Alive" again - maybe because CBS is broadcasting the Tonys and doesn't want to steal its own thunder?
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who woke up for it! Barely, though... I just snoozed my alarm until 8:40, so if it had been earlier I would have missed it.
I was so glad that they were did it outdoors. In-studio performances, besides being really claustrophobic, suffer from notoriously awful acoustics. You can't sing in full voice without the risk of sounding like a nightmare, whereas outside you don't have to worry about that.
I liked the tie! He didn't look bad for such an early hour.
I'm trying to decide whether I love Neil Patrick Harris and Christine Ebersole enough to brave Kelly a second day in a row. I think I'll try.

I'm an idiot and overslept - but I'm glad he didnt do Being Alive again. Now I'm just waiting for said youtube video to be uploaded, haha

Has this been posted? I like it.
That was cute
That was a really cute interview.
I'm so going to get busted watching youtube clips when I'm supposed to be working today... I just stumbled on to the Chatterbox 'Defying Gravity' video (I've never seen it before).

Was this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB1KCaak8kk
I couldnt find it already posted, but its right after he wins the Drama Desk - its adorable.
"Heroes," also from the Chatterbox, is pretty. I'm glad they didn't bother with the dreadful "Lonely House."

That one is cute too misschung! He looks like he's going to hyperventilate at the beginning.
Yep, it's decided... I'm not going to get much work done today.

I know, me too. I love that video - he's like "what did I even say?"
Aww I liked "Lonely House". :) I'm hoping they'll post stuff from his other Chatterbox appearance, I haven't seen it.
I love the beginning to that Drama Desk video, he's so flustered. Adorable :)
Heroes is a beautiful song. I don't think I've heard it before. What show did he say it was from?
jenna2, it's from "Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down" by Michael Rupert. :)
I hadn't heard it before I saw Raul perform it either. It's a beautiful song.
Cool. Thanks! I don't know why I've never heard it before...
I was just about to Google "Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down", but I have a feeling it might bring up some non-workplace-appropriate material. I'll have to research the show from home. lol.
Fantab saw it, but she didn't want to wake me. Hopefully it pops up online, because my mother (who never has a nice thing to say about the guy) called to tell me that he was really good. She also commented on the tie. And I was like "YES I HEARD THE AWFUL ORANGE TIE," to which she replied, "oh, so you have seen this tie before?" How can you miss it? She thinks someone should dress him.

I was going to comment on that last part, but I'll refrain
Wow, Ash, I just watched that interview you posted. I absolutely LOVE what he says about Bobby in that one. It's nice knowing that what I see is on the same page with their intentions, but he just articulates it all so beautifully.
I know, I loved that too, Em. Definitely the scarily articulate Raul I admire. It's really nice to hear what he has to say about their vision of the character rather than the normal awards banter.
I hope the performance from today shows up on YouTube, too, because I thought it was great.
