lol well at least he gets points for making a bold fashion choice.
lol. It looks like one of those colors that would only work on very few people. Raul is beautiful, and since he's got fairly dark coloring you'd think it would work, but he is not one of them. But look, he and Audra match!
And yeah, he looks like he's gonna fall over. Although everyone probably needed a nap by the time the awards were over.
And the audience didn't get to listen to the highly-entertaining intermission open mic "windbaggery" (to borrow a phrase from Tom Sto-PARD).
Given the fact that there appears to be a white, left hand on his shoulder, don't you wonder who was on the other side?

Hehe, those laughs may have woken them up.
I thought maybe it was Donna Murphy. Wouldn't that be a cute picture, of all three musical lead winners?
Note to MissChung---
I got my ticket through BroadwayBox/Broadway offers online just last Saturday night. It may have helped that I was just looking for a single...

Regarding my question about this being a West End board, it must have to do with the way I bookmarked it, but the header I can see as I type this says BWW West end and the url for this page is this:

I just watched his acceptance speech...I love Raul! What a beautiful speech. I'm just so excited for him, this is wonderful! :)

thanks for info fishdancer - hopefully I can get one :)
Belated congratulations to Raul. He certainly deserved the award more than I can possibly say.
I wonder what he's looking at up there.
There's a cute pic of Mary-Mitchell and John Doyle if you scroll down, too.
fishdancer, there is only one off-topic board. The West End board is kind of like a black hole in that once you go there, the URL always contains "West End" no matter where you go on the site, and remains that way until you go back to the main board.

Aww, I went away for so long, you guys got to another thread! Congrats! And Congrats to Raul for the Drama Desk!
I'm still basking in my good feelings about Raul's Drama Desk win much like I feel when Tiger Woods wins. Good work gets rewarded, and I do indeed recognize quality when I see it, so I feel affirmed.
It's so nice when the good guys win!
Plus I feel a little less nervous about the Tonys...
Oooh, I can hardly wait until Friday when I see Company again.
The weird thing about the Drama Desks is that they're often pretty inconsistent as to how well they can predict the Tonys; some years they're on, and line up almost exactly. Others, they don't at all. So, we can't really say this means anything for the Tonys one way or the other.
I know. But I still feel less nervous.
I gotta get me an avatar, but what I want to use is on my other computer and I'm on the road this week.
I wish it made me less nervous!
I still have to see Cerveris, but it's not as though seeing him will be some sort of relief. He's so talented.

There are some more from that Tony nominee brunch thing here, but they're not great:

The Spelling Bee Broadway night will never stop being funny. But mostly not because of Raul. He barely did anything. =P I haven't seen the black and white ones before. Where'd they come from?

Raul and Audra seem like good chums in some of these pics.
You went to spelling bee that night, right? I wish I had seen that.
The pics are from talkinbroadway, I think
I did, and I'm so glad I went. I hadn't laughed that hard in a really long time. Raul was a let-down, but Stokes and Lea were such good sports about everything they were put through, since they were in multiple rounds.

Lea's faces in the pics are hysterical
She could not stop laughing, it was great.
Spelling Bee was awesome. I couldn't pick a favorite part, the whole night was so much fun.
