Granted, early for a Broadway actor isn't early for a regular person. He was probably bitching that he had to get up at 9.
Kidding. I think he said they were beginning at 6 am.
What was at the 92nd street Y?
Heh. Call time was probably noon- just like the Company picture
It was a tribute to Larry Kramer, followed by a moderated discussion between Kramer and Tony Kushner.
It was like heaven, I swear...
Wow, that sounds like it was amazing, Em.
Good luck at the audition, Chrys!! (Not like you need it )
Wow, I know we haven't really talked before, but break a leg at your Hairspray audition, Chrys! How amazing.
Has anyone seen this post on IMDb about Find Me Guilty (spoiler warning!)?

It has what are supposed to be scans of some pages of the script, and it looks like the first three or so are one of Raul's scenes.

LOL! Michael was bitching about having to meet John Doyle at his hotel for a nine am interview. He said in his mind, he should have gotten the job just because he got up so early. Though I do understand. Actors are just on a different schedule than other people!
LOL! I remember there was a guy in the audience that asked Larry Kramer a question. We were all like "Uh, oh! This man is going to evoke the rath of Larry Kramer." I just sank down in my seat till it was all over.
And thanks guys, I'm just really looking forward to the learning experience.
As terrible as I felt for that guy, it was kind of amazing to see him in action. I know that's mean for me to say, but he did ask for it.
I didn't see that post, ss. *goes to look*
I think it's safe to say that Raul's character in this isn't going to be a very nice person. It's cool to see a bit of the dialogue, though, assuming that it hasn't been changed.
They describe him as a playboy.
Yeesssss. This page is giggle-worthy.

haha...what a great site...you know, i was GONNA go...but i don't know about those "karate style maneuvers"...that might be a little too risque for my taste! haha.
Yeah, that's a little rough. Well, we know E can high-kick....
I love that they count out the curse words.

Haha. In the script it says that Bobby only watches his friends do the "karate style maneuvers", but I would love to see him join in! :)
Kooks, I was at DRS the other day!
That little Company page made me laugh as hard as Em's new avatar. Nice, very nice.

That areticle is hysterical! Bless you Stephen Sondheim for writing characters such as Bobby so actors such as Raul can play them. ...Same goes for Sweeney and Michael....
One male character asks another if he ever has participated in a homosexual experience, and both men admit that they have.
At which point, I will involuntarily collapse into a fit of giggles and everyone will stare.
I'm imagining them all standing around in someone's living room, trying to act butch and karate-kicking each other like "I'm manlier than you!!" little boys.
That's hot.
*cracks up*
Skittles, I hope we're sitting near each other. Because then two of us will be in a fit of giggly embarassment on the floor. 'cause, you know, Bobby would be "ashamed."
Oh, and so we can start entrance applause.
Yeah, having someone else there to share the attention will be good. At least our seats aren't front and center- we don't need the audience AND everyone onstage to be like "Who let the immature kids in?" Besides, Bobby's not ashamed, he's just...conflicted.
No entrance standing ovations?
You know something, I think we SHOULD. We should stand up and give him thunderous applause and let him know we've arrived. From hundreds of miles away. Ohio can get a taste of the hometown audience!
And in his head, Raul will be doing a mental *facepalm*
I am gonna be front and center, so I'll have to attempt maturity. That's gonna be tough. Still nobody going to the previews? Ugh, ah well. I guess mother-daughter bonding will really be mother-daughter bonding. Anyone know any cheap hotels/restaurants in the Cincinnati area? I guess I need to start planning this.
You just sink really, really low in your seat and hide. After you give him the entrance standing ovation.
I'm still looking into hotels, but when I called the Playhouse they said to look in the Eastern portion of the downtown Cincinnati area. I think they list some stuff about restuarants on their site. I know someone who lives there, and she said the area surrounding the park is quite nice -- lots of fun restuarants and things.
Sorry, ang, my dad couldn't make it until that weekend. Previews would have been happier for my credit card, though. :-/
I'll probably still be in town that Sunday, so I really want to try and get to the "Meet the Artists" show. I'm not sure about ticket sales though- do you think they'll still be seats available to rush that day? Or should I play it safe and get a ticket head of time?
If you go to that, it needs preservation.
