To great talent...

I saw the ad, but it's not as hilarious (but in a bad way) as the High Fidelity music video.

It's really silly.... and that's kind of an odd photo of Raul. To great talent...
#3828

To great talent...

I don't think laughter was what they were going for, but I can't help but laugh at least a little at super-imposed Raul gliding across the screen.

And I can laugh even harder at what High Fidelity calls a "music video." Since when do Broadway shows have full on music videos? Let me just say that I feel so bad for Will Chase. He's so talented, but the show is looking more and more pathetic. Will that stop me from going to High Fidelity. No way!

To great talent...

Honestly, the composer is very, very talented, so I'm actually quite looking forward to it. At the very least, the music should be good.

To great talent...

It just suddenly struck me that the Raul Esparza Love Thread is only in Part 2. For some reason, I was thinking there had to be more than that...guess that's what comes from being away from BWW for a few days.

Thanks for the detailed review, Em! I can only imagine what a gorgeous production Company is.

Speaking of gorgeous...nice avatar, sweetestsiren.

To great talent...

Raul's eyes pierce my soul.

Thoughts?

To great talent...

Last night, during the pot smoking scene, he when was sitting on the floor, his eyes started scanning the theater, really fast, just darting from side to side. They're huge and gorgeous. To great talent...

Are his eyes naturally blue? Contacts? Interesting genes?

Thanks, Zyla. To great talent...

His eyes are unbelievably gorgeous and expressive. Best description of them ever: "huge green eyes that can bulge with manic intensity or reflect inner wounds or transmit a tenderness that makes someone watching want to be involved with him." (From that Washington Post feature on him during the Sondheim Celebration).
#3836

To great talent...

Aren't his eyes green? Naturally green?

Yeah, I really have no business knowing this.
#3837

To great talent...

The picture I have taken with him shows blue eyes, yet my eyes may be deceiving me.

*checks desktop*

Nope, looks blue to me.

The color is natural, yeah. It kind of walks the line between blue and green.

I wish I could describe things that way. I'm just like "wow, pretty." heh.

To great talent...

I was telling someone after I saw Raul in Company: I really don't think it's fair to have that much talent and good looks. Take one or the other. Some of us don't have either, so share the wealth!

That first cap is incredibly unflattering.

To great talent...

So last night, I said to emcee:

"Raul is so much prettier than Mano"

*gasp*

For the record, though, I still prefer my boy. But Raul is, er...growing on me. - that sounds so wrong.
#3846

To great talent...

I see nothing wrong with that.

Shari Lewis: Did you ever wish upon a star? Lamb Chop: I once asked Mr. Rogers for his autograph.

To great talent...

*gasp* Chica! I totally never expected to hear that!

Well, Mano still looks younger. To great talent...
#3848

To great talent...

Mano is adorable and incredibly good-looking, but I'm (physically speaking) partial to Raul's intensity. Mano is definitely cute, but Raul's just... beautiful.

Man, I'm a cheeseball.

And I'm still the only person who doesn't want to bang Raul. I still love him though. To great talent...
