And I can laugh even harder at what High Fidelity calls a "music video." Since when do Broadway shows have full on music videos? Let me just say that I feel so bad for Will Chase. He's so talented, but the show is looking more and more pathetic. Will that stop me from going to High Fidelity. No way!
Question: Will Esparza win for The Homecoming?
BobbyBubby: I hope so. If only for the mental health of many people on this board.
It just suddenly struck me that the Raul Esparza Love Thread is only in Part 2. For some reason, I was thinking there had to be more than that...guess that's what comes from being away from BWW for a few days.
Thanks for the detailed review, Em! I can only imagine what a gorgeous production Company is.
Speaking of gorgeous...nice avatar, sweetestsiren.
Last night, during the pot smoking scene, he when was sitting on the floor, his eyes started scanning the theater, really fast, just darting from side to side. They're huge and gorgeous.
His eyes are unbelievably gorgeous and expressive. Best description of them ever: "huge green eyes that can bulge with manic intensity or reflect inner wounds or transmit a tenderness that makes someone watching want to be involved with him." (From that Washington Post feature on him during the Sondheim Celebration).
I was telling someone after I saw Raul in Company: I really don't think it's fair to have that much talent and good looks. Take one or the other. Some of us don't have either, so share the wealth!

Mano is adorable and incredibly good-looking, but I'm (physically speaking) partial to Raul's intensity. Mano is definitely cute, but Raul's just... beautiful.
