I'm not sure if anyone saw, but his website has a clip of the Company cast's "Auld Lang Syne." I haven't listened, so I'm not sure which part of the song the clip is of, but Raul only sings in the beginning.
And I have to say, I just cracked up reading back over the double entendre thing.

I don't even know if it was intended, but it made me laugh.
I'd assume they put his part on his website. :)

#3880To great talent...
Posted: 11/14/06 at 10:59amYeah, that would be pretty appropriate. He rarely seems to not use vibrato.... yet, it's still sexy? Or maybe that's just me.

Posted: 11/14/06 at 12:43pmIt totally is. But I'm sorry, I have to admit that the opening to that song was one of the only times I found him absolutely incomprehensible. I couldn't even tell if he was speaking English the first time I listened to it.

So... I saw Company tonight. FINALLY! It took me long enough. My friend and I got front row rush tickets. I didn't expect toget such great seats.
Anyway, the show was brilliant as expected. I only noticed mino changes from Cincinnati. I just loved it. I would have more to say if I wasn't so tired. I will say, though, that during act two when he screams "stop"... he *literally* took my breath away. I wasn't expeting such a raw, heart-breaking sound. I don't remember that part from Cincy. Or at least I don't remember it being so... shocking.
Being Alive made me absolutely bawl. It's just can't be put into words. What a great night!
The show was being filmed tonight. There were several cameras set up in the back. The show tonight was perfection. So they picked a good night to film.
Oh, I didn't do the stage door thing. Well, I did for about five minutes but then decided to go out for dinner with friends instead. So I didn't see him come out. Which is fine. I saw him perform and that was more than enough. I'm sure he was lovely to those who did wait in the rain, though.
Have a good night everyone. Who knows when I'll be on here again. Keep the Raul love going!

What's with the hair, Raul? I'm so not feeling the slicked-back thing he's been doing lately. It makes him look so much older than he does otherwise. I miss that really boyish, sort of spikey thing he had going on.
I hate it when it's pushed back from his face.

Aww, he looks so...scrunchy. It's cute. I like it.

It tickles my heart that Raul looks so happy to be there. It's really quite precious.
Now that LoveMusik is set to play this season, I CANNOT WAIT for the Cerveris/Esparza battle part deux to unravel!

They make the f'ing cut-ff by SIX DAYS.
I'm so unhappy. I'm really excited for the show and I adore Cerveris, but I'm so mad about the timing.

I think it's the most exciting part about the Tonys when you can't decide who you love more and who should win. It's not as fun when you know who should/will win. It's more fun to play with your emotions until you go crazy.

Posted: 11/17/06 at 6:28pmWell, I like an interesting season and one that's not ALL sure-fire wins. On one hand, I want Raul to have a competitive category and emerge the winner; on the other, I want him to win and for his competition to be wimpy. Besides, he who should win does not often do so.

Posted: 11/17/06 at 6:30pmIn all honesty, do you know the liklihood that Company will even last until Tony time?
#3894To great talent...
Posted: 11/17/06 at 6:31pmDepends on the reviews, which I can't imagine will absolutely pan it. They'll push it at least through the Tonys; it'll recoup fast. Nobody KNOWS these kinds of things, it's all speculative.

It had better last until March so that I can see it.

Me too, Mandi.
And for me, there's no contest between Raul and Michael. Or Raul and just about anybody, for that matter. That's a really close-minded thing to say considering I haven't seen any of the performances, but...it's Rauuuuul.

The Tonys are all politics and past performance. Unless LoveMusik is produced by Tony himself, Raul has the upper hand- if it came down to another Raul/Michael battle, they'd give it to Raul this time to even the score. That's how it works.
Great to see you around again, g!

Well, I still have to get the TABOO obc...but I think that one can wait til Christmas. My mom is concerned that she can't get me anything this year!
You know, I haven't listened to my TTB recording in a while...no wonder I've been so sad lately. I haven't been listening to Raul's cheerful voice.
